This used to be an ok place for fast casual Mexican food. The food was "once" reasonably priced, no frills, prepared in front of you (Chipotle and Subway style assembly line) prepared by staff who knew what they were doing. Come 2023, the food quality is now substandard, portions and fixes are cut back, prices have gone up drastically, service is downright bad, the place is dirty and unhygienic, and they have "hidden" charges. If you don't notice on the check, you'd end up paying a lot of extras--almost 25% more than what is on the menu board. See picture of the check. They even charge about 5% extra for credit card payment. Downright cheating! I ordered burrito bowl, price on the board changed to illegible $12.99 which in the first place is too much for their quality, location, and service. While making the burrito bowl, the preparer skimped on the portions of fixings, adding only 50% of normal quantities anywhere. When asked to add a little more sauce I was told it'd be an extra charge. That was a shock! Extra for hot sauce!!!! What's even worse is that the sour cream was watery--definitely diluted! Having paid, I realized something did not add up on the check. See picture. They charged extra for meat (on the menu board it's included), extra for sauce (should be included), price for a 12.99 burrito overcharged, surcharge fee $1.04 (for credit card payment...is that even legal, I wonder). When I asked to give me the name and phone number of the owner. Answer: Sashi, but he won't be available." "So, whom can I complain about this experience," "Nobody!" It seems like new ownership. I love to support local, but not this place! No more!

My girlfriends and I decided to order some food from Mexican Post to kickstart our holiday weekend. The estimated time for arrival was between 6:00-6:10 PM. Around 6:20 PM, we called Mexican Post to get an update on our order. We were told the driver was on his way to us. The food arrived at 7:11 PM, an hour after the estimated time. Our food was cold and my tacos had started to disintegrate into the food. My queso could be turned upside down; that is how congealed it was. We called Grubhub to complain. Mexican Post refused to make any accommodations for our gross inconvenience because, and I quote, "they are a half hour away." False. They are 20 minutes away. I am uncertain how some tacos and burritos could take about 2 hours to reach my doorstep. Mexican Post is a disgraceful representation of both customer service and good quality. Perhaps the management needs to understand how to maintain a client base. And master rudimentary geography.

Don't worry. That semi-solid cheese is after I threw this back into the oven for fifteen minutes.

I can't possibly convey my distaste and inability to leave less than one star. The delivery driver only responded to our inquiries after our order was to arrive by stating they left the restaurant ten minutes after delivery was due. Our food arrived an hour after our delivery was supposed to arrive. It was cold. The cheese had not only congealed, but separated into both cheese and oil. I had company visiting from out of town and I have never quite been so embarrassed and disgusted by food that came into my home. Their excuse was that the restaurant is thirty minutes away. This doesn't address that they left ten minutes after the delivery was supposed to arrive and how the restaurant is only 18 minutes away. We clocked it about 40 minutes after our delivery was late to see if we could have run faster. (To answer that, we could have). Certainly the driver could have shown some sort of dismay on arrival. A flat tire. Vehicle damage showing they were rear ended. Even a sincere apology with statements of their kitchen being backed up. No, we were given a shrug as we were handed food that had congealed. The plastic bags were filled with pools of oil that dripped off of our to go tins as we pulled them out of the bag. My suggestion is to avoid at all costs.

Great place! Food is home made freshly! Very good flavors! I highly recommend it! I usually have a burrito bowl, every time the hit the spot! Delicious!!!

Veg Burrito Bowl

A place for a quick meal. Their veg are marinated well and are cooked enough that are remain crispy. Tofu is full of spice and fresh jalapeño is a good option for people who like to make it spicy.

Pork Bowl before the delicious carnage

Better than chipotle by leaps and bounds. I love chipotle but THIS...was phenomenal! I had the pork burrito bowl...the most flavorful meal ever! Make sure to get the hot salsa!!! The people there have so much personality! If you're in the area...stop by because this is a must! The tacos with spicy chicken is also delectable!

Pretty decent in my opinion. Standard make-your-own burrito place with all kinds of filling options.

Food fresh and delicious. Disregard the ambience and enjoy your meal. The Burrito bowl and tacos were tasty and delectable.

Fantastic. Frequently come here for dinner. Best hard shell beef tacos, hands down. Fresh ingredients, delicious guac. Try the churros!

I am shocked that this place has such hot and cold reviews, because we have been here 3 times and…read moreevery time it has been amazing. We have come mostly on a Friday afternoon for dinner and the place is very empty. Which is so sad because the decor alone is reason enough to come here and give them a chance! It is like transporting yourself to a fun restaurant in downtown Cancun. Every single wall is painted or has some type of artisanal art work....plus can we talk about the GIANT HORSE in the middle of the restaurant! Alright now for the food, I would highly recommend getting the tacos Al pastor. They are some of the best tacos and come filled to the brim with delicious meat and pineapple. We always get a plate of these! The next thing I would not miss are the sopes, my husband loves these because they remind him of crunchy arepas. They bring a delicious salad, tons of cheese and meat. Just make sure to ask for some salsa Verde and creme to go with them. Finally if you like Birria, I highly recommend the Queso Birria or the Birria Pizza if you have an appetite. Both have perfectly seasoned meat and great for sharing. As for drinks I would not miss the Mangonaza or the Horchata, both are perfect to balance your meals. Make sure to check this place out and see what you think, you will probably see me there too!

Unfortunately this place was supremely underwhelming to me for my first try. I ordered the Steak,…read moreChicken, and Shrimp Fajitas, along with the Al Pastor Tacos, and EVERYTHING was over cooked. The shrimp were some of the mushiest shrimp I've ever had. I had high hopes for this place being that it just opened its Ewing location. I might give it another shot, but no time soon.

El Sabor Oaxaqueno 2 - Huevos con Chorizo -- flavorful and filling. It also comes with two very fine tortillas.

It's took me a long time to finally check this place out. I knew about it, and I even knew where…read moreit was supposed to be located, but I'd driven by it a thousand times without going in...largely due to the very small sign located over the location. I didn't actually realize it was where I wanted to go until I was parking in front of it. As mentioned in other reviews, the dining space inside is small and very basic--which is fine. The portion of the store selling Mexican food staples is in the front as you enter, and the handful of dine-in tables are located at the back of the store between the store's aisles and the kitchen counter. What finally got me there to visit was that it was open for breakfast, and while a lot of places say they're open for breakfast, opening up at 9AM twice a week doesn't qualify. El Sabor Oaxaqueño 2 is open for breakfast most days at 6AM, because they serve people who are working their butts off and who need a good meal. The breakfasts at El Oaxaqueño 2 serve that need. My Chilaquiles Verde were spicy, but not super spicy, and it was served with rice and black beans. My carne asada was an addition as were my fried eggs. You can also get chicken breast (pechuga) or a red sauce if that's more your style. My wife's Huevos con Chorizo were very flavorful and very filling. They were also served with rice and black beans, along freshly made tortillas and a stick of cheese to crumble over your meal. She was only able to finish off half her plate, and we took home the rest. Our next visit was for dinner, and because I couldn't decide on what I wanted, we split three plates between us. First up was my Tacos de Tripa. I asked for the tripa (pork chitterlings, not tripe) to be well cooked so that it was crunchy, and they served them up just as I like them. They were topped with chopped onion and garlic, and once topped with the spicy green fresh salsa, we gobbled them down. The tortillas were freshly made and had a nice texture. The next dish was the chicken enchiladas en mole. Four enchiladas were well stuffed with white chicken meat then bathed in flavorful mole and served with rice and beans. Thankfully, it wasn't topped with a ridiculously huge glob of melted cheese. Last was the Quesadilla--not your Mama's quesadilla either. It was huge, and it wasn't as cheesy as the quesadillas the average person knows. Inside it was stuffed almost like a taco with big pieces of shrimp in one half and carne asada in the other. There was cheese, but cheese was not the star as it is in the average quesadilla we're all used to. It was good, and we both enjoyed it--it was just a surprise. The place is far from fancy, but they serve real food, and it's real good.
