We came here because we love Mexican food, the reviews were great, and Yelp usually gets it right - until this time. To be fair, the salsa was 5-star good and that is why I give this place 3 stars. The eating area is grimy, with decorations laden in thick dust and walls that could use a thorough cleaning. The salsa bar is a nice addition, but the signage on it reads, "LIMIT FOUR SALSA CUPS PER ORDER THANK YOU!!!" I cannot imagine salsa-hoarding, as great as it was, is such a problem the proprietor would need to display such an off-putting and unwelcoming message. Unless...people take too much salsa because the flavor in the meat needs to be amped up? The tacos here were just okay, even with the outstanding salsa. Tacos are pretty basic and, imho, reveal the flavor capabilities of a place. When I eat at a Mexican joint, I always order a chorizo taco and a pork taco because I think tacos are telltale food; if the staple taco isn't a flavorful, stand alone experience, I don't put much confidence in the rest of the menu. Looking back, I see positive reviews were for gigantic burritos. I stopped into this place during the Corona Virus pandemic and I have to tell you this place was Spotless, everything was clean all the employees were wearing gloves and face masks also. The smell coming from the kitchen was amazing and the gentleman at the register who took my order and answered any and all of my questions and I had a few since it was my first time ordering from them, he was polite, informative and helped me tailor my order to suit my tastes and likes! Let me tell you the steak tacos were amazing, flavorful and fresh, topped with delicious homemade salsa and fresh cilantro on top! I also ordered their Taco Al Rancho which was equally as good! Oh I almost forgot their chips and salsa that came with the meal were crispy and delicious too! I look forward to going back and trying some of their other authentic Mexican dishes! read more

This is our favorite Mexican place for take out. It doesn't look like much when you pull up, but the food is fantastic. We even had an issue with delivery once. Their counter person, who was new, was awful to us, but Misa (who I assume is the owner?) responded promptly and was MORE than generous and apologetic in rectifying. Often, the mark of a great business is how they recover from mistakes. We will as thrilled to continue to offer our business (and recommendations) to Misa and his team! The nachos could have been better.. too much black bean sauce and it was all soggy .. was expecting more crisp considering the chips were really fresh and crispy. Clearly a very good 3.5 star taco bodega that puts our cooked to order tacos burritos etc. The salsa bar was really good with 2 types of green and red salsas, pickled jalapeños and veggies, and excellent pick de gallo with fresh cilantro. My taco carnitas on corn tortillas were dressed with finally chopped onions and fresh herbs and a vibrant fresh taste that was delicious. This place has great authentic Mexican food! It's in a semi-hidden alley of a shopping plaza and the inside isn't much to write home about. It's very tiny inside but the food here is excellent! My boyfriend and I both tried different dishes. I had shrimp tacos and my bf had the steak burrito. His burrito was amazing!! My tacos were good but something felt missing though the shrimp tacos. They were cooked well and seasoned good also. NOTE: They give u free chips with your meal but absolutely NO SAUCE. Who does that? I has nothing better to do on a rainy Saturday evening. The forecast said snow as coming. This place was on my radar for its high ratings. I took the 30 minute trek out east to this out-of-the-way place. First of all, appearances don't mean a thing. As is menioned, this place does, in fact, look like a hole-in-the-wall. However, I have found that great food also comes out of these places. Seating is limited - perhaps 6-7 tables. There is a salsa/condiment bar stocked with authentic salsa and hot sauces varying by hot desirable you wish to burn the lining of your stomach (and the other end the next day). The food- it's fresh and its wonderful. I have no complaints. Our party ordered the following: - Quesadillas (Cheese) - good - Steak Tacos - Fish Tacos - Shrimp Taco - Fajita Burrito The seasoning was spot on. The burrito was really tasty, not drowning in sauce or cheese as I have often experienced. The complimentary nachos with homemade salsa was a pleasant teaser to the main events. It doesn't get better than this with Mexican food - its fresh, tasty, well seasoned (they accommodate to your taste) and very reasonably priced. This is very authentic mexican food, so be aware that their tacos are not what you eill ne expecting if you only frequent taco bell. My personal favorite and HIGHEST recommendation on their menu are the fish tacos. These things are the perfect blend of tangy lime sauce and freshly fried fish complimented by crunchy cabbage. Their torta sandwiches are also HUGE filled with lots of meat. Very filling and worth the price. My favorite burrito is the shrimp burrito, which they use really good quality shrimp and it shows. This spot is down the road from my internship. I have had numerous people suggest this place to me because of my love for Mexican food and I was not disappointed. I had a little trouble finding it because it is somewhat hidden off of route 112. It is in a little parking lot with a strip of stores. I ordered a steak taco which came on a corn tortilla with onions and cilantro. The steak was cooked perfect, nice and crispy. The taco was delicious. I also ordered the chicken torta ( I was starving ) and that was incredible. It had sour cream guacamole lettuce tomatoes and chicken. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Ultimate fail trying to order takeout on Cinco de Mayo. Tried calling multiple times and got a busy tone each time. I called the day before and asked if I could put an order in early (figuring it would be busy) but they don't take call ahead orders. I realized this is a busy time, so instead I skipped out on cinco de Mayo and celebrated a day later. Located on 112, this place is in a strip mall that isn't very visible from the road. For reference, it's right near 7-11. The parking lot is tight but finding a spot shouldn't be too difficult. The service on the phone was very friendly. Again, I realize during the holiday, places can get extremely busy so I cut them slack. I called my order in (large order) and it was ready in exactly 20 minutes. For people wondering, during quarantine you still have to go into the store to pick up your order. The prices are great. Wonderful take out spot if your on a tight budget or if the whole family wants to get takeout. I've been here twice and both times I was impressed with the food. These are authentic Mexican tacos! All tacos should be served like this. Don't expect sour cream, lettuce, or cheese on them (unless you order al rancho style). They come with diced onion & cilantro (I add hot sauce & squeeze lime juice on them). My absolute favorite menu item are the Tongue Tacos. Listen people...expand your palate and open your mind! These tacos are so delicious and packed with juicy, tender lengua. The brisket tacos are also out of this world. The chicken tacos were a bit dry during my last visit. The fish tacos are are a family favorite. These tacos come with cabbage & homemade dressing. The fish is perfectly fried. The nachos are full of flavor and I was given a very generous portion. The guacamole served on the nachos...fantastic! The quesadillas are HUGE and come with a side of guacamole & sour cream. The flautas are super crunchy and have great flavor.
