If you're looking for a quick bite of yummy Mexican- this is your place. As I was 2 hrs from home and starving with my fiancé and18m old in tow, thought this was our best shot. Considering the good reviews we decided we've give it a go. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, chicken taco, shrimp taco, fish taco, and steak tacos. All yummy, fresh, and fairly portioned. I was stuffed after two tacos. Also ordered chips and guacamole- which is creamy, fresh, and simply perfect. We ordered a Mexican pizza as well, only bad thing about it was the covered in globs of gauc, sour cream, and salsa. They have a salsa bar which was fresh and yummy too! The place is clean, old, but clean. Although I couldn't help but notice that the lady working the front counter thought it was a good time to mop the floors with a super chemically fragrant solution. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is located in the back of a really rundown shopping center. But the food is fantastic. Ironically, the best bagel store in the area is right next to it. Go figure...but if you want fresh Mexican food, you will get no better. Plus the portion sizes are huge, so you can have leftovers the next day! My husband always gets the burrito gigante and it is the size of a meatloaf. If you like something different with a kick, try getting the avocado salsa on one of their tacos. This is probably the best mexican food around Patchogue, so if you're craving Mexican make this your stop. I admit that I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to tacos having had my mind blown by the incredible taquerias on the West Coast earlier this year, but MG2K did a suitable job filling the gap. Shortly after I people began to arrive. The place is small with only about (7) tables. Simple layout. Menu was easy to navigate. Staff spoke English and Spanish. The food was delicious. Mexican grill has been a staple in my family for a very very long time. We love the food so much we had them cater my college graduation party as well as the reception party the night before my cousins wedding. Their food is so consistently good. Best, most authentic, and juicy pastor taco I've had on Long Island. It's unfortunate because it's probably the easiest store front to miss I've ever been to. It's on the side of a little lack luster plaza. Absolutely will be returning when I'm in town next. Absolutely amazing. Soda machine out front (refills anyone?!) We travel to Mexico often and spend a lot of time eating on side streets and off the carts. I gotta say, these were hands down the best tacos I've had outside of Playa, and better than some places I've eaten in Mexico. There is nothing to the ambiance, but everyone that works here is extremely friendly. When you are waiting for your food they bring over fresh chips and amazing salsa. I love holes-in-the-walls (not actual holes in the wall) and this is no exception. Every time I get the carne asada quesadilla, which could easily last me two meals, and I never ever regret it. The service is friendly and speedy. Get anything with carne asada (steak) and skip anything with chicken. The fish taco is flippin' awesome, but hardly filling and more like a tiny appetizer. The lengua taco is yummy, but my sister swears by the taco al pastor (basically a burrito minus the rice). The chips (which you get a complimentary basket of if you sit down) are the bomb diggity. People fight over these chips. I would go so far as to declare them the best ever. There's no traditional salsa, or what typically you think of as salsa. Instead they offer a kind of salad dressing with chopped tomatoes and onions, that doesn't quite hit the spot. The horchata is gritty, but for $2, fairly reasonable. Just bring your own tea strainer. Oh, and pop next door to the Dolci Momenti bakery for a black and white cookie to finish off a superb meal. read more

I have been coming here for many years! It is my absolute favorite Mexican Restaurant! The food is amazing! I have catered many parties from here as well as picked up to go home with dinner for myself. The salsa is amazing, the food is so fresh, service is quick, and the people are great. Dining in is not recommended. It can be done but it's so busy and is ultra casual.
