Vegas in four days!! Like yesterday, I had to get my car all ready and fixed up before the trip. If I got brand new brakes, rotor, and oil change, its logical to get new or used tires. Mexicali is the best place to get fast service without waiting too long...filling out paperwork, and save a couple bucks more than the big corporate places.
I arrived around 3:30pm to see a lot of customers at Mexicali. I guess they are getting to go somewhere this week as well. With like 4-5 customers and 2 employees, the guys were able to help me like I was the first one in. The guy told me that they did not have any used tires for my car, but they did have brand new ones. He was willing to sell me the tires for $100 each. I thought about it for a good couple of minutes...I decided...What the hell...Let's do it. Since they don't charge tax, my total was $200 all together.
Even though Mexicali seems like a Ma and Pa type business, they do issue out Warranties. They gave me Goodyear P205.55.16 Tires with 60K mile warranty. Took them 20 minutes to install on my rims and install. The service was much better than going to GoodYear/PepBoys and waiting hours for them to fix it.
As I was walking in their garage to pay with cash, I saw the Visa/Mastercard logo accepted. I said, "You guys accept Credit Cards?" I did not know that. He told me that they installed it 8 to 10 months ago. So, I used my Credit Card and it was better than using my cash. They gave me my warranty and my receipt.
Test drove my car and with my new brakes and tires. My car felt brand new. I guess the countdown of 60,000 miles and lifetime warranty on brakes starts...lol. I hope to have my car when I am 50. Probably won't happen, but I like to keep my car lasting as long as it can.
