Came on the recommendation from a friend (04/25/2026), I'd heard mixed reviews so I was curious…read moreabout this place. I'll give them 4.75 stars, but they did fantastic so I'll round up for this place. First, we walk in the door and Zack walked past and complimented the boss on her snazzy shirt and a few other staff were friendly too so the vibe was nice to start off. We were then led to our table to discover Zack is our server for the night. Another compliment on the bosses glasses, okay she did look great - Thanks Zack! Drinks come out super fast and we get our food ordered. Zack was great helping with Alpha Gal and later following up with the kitchen staff that they had in fact not put butter on my fish - another win. I ordered the red fish special (I think) with a baked potato and the boss got the Harris Platter. Zack recommended blackened and was so right, delicious! I tried her fired catfish and that was delicious too, but would have dipped it in hot sauce, but the cocktail sauce was so yummy with a nice horseradish bite - delicious and maybe better than hot sauce (slander I know). That 0.25 off - well the hushpuppies were kinda gross and bland. This is the south so quality hushpuppies are a must. Ask for Zack, you will not be dissapointed.

I came back again the next day for lunch. When I came back Saturday we got the crab bites and they were very good. Had the crab legs for the second day in a row and they were still 10 out of 10. Can't wait to come back. For as popular as this place is I do think they could upgrade their tables a little. Our server on valentines afternoon was great and took care of our group of 11. Their house wines are Woodbridge which is actually under the Robert mondavi label.

So this is a fairly new Resturant in the spot where Chili's used to be. It's close to the mall and…read morevery easy to get to. They have a nice big parking lot. I couldn't wait to try it out after I saw it. It wasn't super busy when I was there but was really impressed that the gentleman seating patrons chose the perfect spot for my daughter and I. She is in a wheelchair and the booth he set for us had a nice amount of room on the end so she was able to scoot nice and close to the table. They have paper on all the tables and bring out paper plates and plastic ware for you to enjoy your cheesy garlic toast and appetizers on. Our server was amazing and very attentive. She brought out that cheesy garlic bread and it was delicious! It didn't take long at all after we finished our bread that she brought out our appetizer. We chose hush puppies and there was a nice honey mustard type sauce that was served with them. They weren't the best hush puppies I've ever had but certainly not the worst either. My daughter loved them and she normally doesn't care for them. It wasn't long and our meal came out. Her catfish and Cajun fries were piping hot. My crawfish etoufee and white rice wasn't quite as hot. It was very tasty but could've been a smidge warmer. We didn't safe room for dessert however they do have options if you are so inclined and have saved room. The one downfall, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that it isn't very wheelchair accessible. We had to use the restroom when we were there and it was a little difficult to maneuver thru all the closed doors to get where we needed to go. That would be the only thing I would suggest working on! Otherwise this place is excellent! I cannot wait to come back and try some of the other dishes and drinks!

We've tried the steaks (tender and flavorful), sandwiches (yum! -- the cheesesteak seems packed with flavor and the grilled chicken is tender and juicy), fish and chips (not over-cooked -- lightly battered), and salads (fresh). Save -- if you can -- room for dessert! Everything is great, the portions are generous, and the price is reasonable (a rare find these days). Also, Josh (chef and co-owner) is a deep-fry master. His waffle fries, mozzarella sticks, and mushrooms are over-the-top. Josh sometimes steps out of the kitchen to greet customers and make sure everything is OK. The rest of the staff follow his lead for friendly service. If you get the chance, check out the adjacent, beautiful wine tasting room for Lake Barkley Winery. In addition to tastings from proprietor and builder, Bill, you can pick up some great local wines or some California varieties. Not only did Bill build the tasting room by hand (along with the entire building), he's the vintner who created the local wines from grapes he grew nearby. Get some of his local wine before he runs out of it. The California wines are from a vineyard his relative owns. This really is a family business! The tasting room is gorgeous and could be a great place to rent out for an elegant event. I hear JJ's and Lake Barkley are close to opening a banquet facility upstairs -- can't wait to see that!
