Too many rules: 1) you must purchase goggles and show them every time you go in. If you forget you have to purchase another pair for $10. 2) you must show your tanning lotion at the time of check in, if it is not purchased from their store you can not use it and must purchase one their lotions, this can become very expensive. 3) they allow 20 mins in the sauna, it turns off after 17 mins and if you add more time, they will let you know , you are not allow to touch the timer. They do not allow for additional time to get dressed or you will be questioned on why you were in the sauna an additional 3 mins. 4) they set the timer on the tanning bed to start immediately, once you close the door to enter the room, so you don't have time to put on tanning lotion. You have to jump into the bed quickly or lose time. 5) when you go to cancel they will charge and additional month.....when you don't want to go back. There are warning signs posted all throughout the building, in the rooms and front desk of the rules. The main owner was friendly and this place could have be such a cute friendly place, it has a lot to offer for beds and equipment. Plus it was clean, hence the reason for the 2 star review. But his supporting staff was miserable, pointing out all the mistakes you've made at each visit. They never tell you anything nice. Their reasoning was, because they have such discounted rates they need to keep strict rules to keep the prices lower. I would rather pay more to be treated with respect and no accusations. We cancelled after 2 week. (But have to pay for 2 mos) Very disappointing. read more

A very friendly and knowledgeable staff that is able to guide you through the process, answer questions, and tailor the experience to whatever your needs may be. All equipment is well-maintained, functional, and meticulously cleaned after each use. Metro is so much better than the cookie cutter chain tanning salons. They know you when you walk in, the equipment is top notch, the variation is better than a typical tanning salon, and the customer service is superb. After many years at Palm Beach and Planet Tan, this place by far exceeds them. They have two great locations in Carrollton and Frisco, and we have driven to Frisco to visit that location and since there is more room there, they have even more applications to choose from. read more

I have been a client here for over a year now and Gino and his staff are amazing! I am new to tanning and they are always there to point me in the right direction! The Salon was recently re-modeled and it is beautiful!!! I love coming here to relax after a long day, the beds are amazing, the Hydro-pod is my favorite!! Warm water, massage, aroma....ahhhhhh! I drive here from Frisco and it is worth every penny for customer appreciation alone! Stop in and give them a try...you will be happy you did!!! It is true, they do not push products on you, but they have years of experience to share with you! I purched a Groupon 2 years ago from salon for a month of lower level bed tanning. Then yesterday I purchased a Groupon from the tanning salon and the app allowed me to pay for it. When I went this morning to the salon they denied my groupon and said you can only purchase one time. On the groupon voucher it says it can be purchased every 180 days. The salon needs to remove the Groupon. It's a joke. RUDE woman at counter Terrible customer service. Owner did nothing to help. I don't recommend. read more

The girl at the from desk is very unfriendly. In fact I felt like I was bothering her everytime I went in. She is the owners daughter. I was supposed to get spa sections with my monthly dues. I was told a few days ago when I was there, I had 5 left. Today, after missing a few days. I was told I didn't have any because she directed me to an "upgraded" tanning bed. They failed to tell me that bed 2 and 7 go against my spa sections. So the 5 I paid for I don't get to use. They have no people skills or manners. read more

I got a ultra dark clear spray tan, and it never showed up. I called the next day, and the man was very rude to me and said I must've "done it wrong". I've been getting spray tans for probably 8 years, and was in town and needed one, and am sure i am capable of standing in a machine... Very disappointing. I have been going to Metro Tan for a while now. The waiting room is calming and zen. Originally, I signed up for a single tan which I did on and off for a couple of months. Now I am the points plan, where you get so many points and can use them at your leisure and they never go away. I usually use Bed #8 as it is my favorite. I have tried some of the other beds as well. The people are friendly, kind and efficient. I definitely recommend Metro Tan to anyone. It is open seven days a week. read more

The girl at the front desk was so mean I was completely shocked. I have never been treated like that by an employee. I walk in and she looks mad and goes "Membership?" And I said it was my first time and she said ok that will just be $30, and then said "Room 5" WITHOUT ANY INSTRUCTION!! I mentioned it was my first time!! I went in the spa and got all the way undressed, and realized I needed a hair net, So i got dressed again, and went back and asked for a hair net and she just said here and gave it to me without even an apology. The tan isnt the problem, its the girl. I wont be coming back because of this girl. She had black long hair. read more

All I can say is Level 5 is the best tanning bed I have ever used. I get compliments left and right from complete strangers on my tan. I look refreshed and like I just walked off the beach. The owners are amazing and very knowledgeable, there is a reason why they have repeat customers year long.
