Metropolitan Piano Co is the best. Almost something from another age. Phil really loves and is passionate about pianos. Mine was in bad shape, Phil not only fixed it but told me what had caused the problems, told me what humidity the room should be kept at, 45-50% humidity incidentally, and told me about pros/cons of wood parts vs plastic parts, about the new carbon fibre parts that are machined with incredible precision, about the love he has for the history of piano construction and about a fascinating book he was currently reading about a traditional piano company. This is a man and a company you can trust with anything not just your piano.
And my piano now? Amazing. It sounds beautiful. It sings! The action of the keys is amazing. I played for a long time after Phil left that day just marvelling at how wonderful it felt now.
I really cannot recommend Metropolitan Piano Co enough. read more
