My wife and I bought our engagement and wedding rings from Gerard and absolutely loved the experience. My wife loved the fact she was able to meet the person who made her ring, that it wasn't just an expensive trinket from a factory assembly line. For me, it was great because I know nothing about jewelry and Gerard walked me through the process step by step. I described what I wanted for my wife-to-be, and Gerard helped me decide what kind of stone to get, explained the chemistry and origins of each, showed me dozens of samples, etc. He literally sketched out ring designs on paper in front of me until we got it right. Not only did my wife love the ring, but she loved the fact that I had taken such a personal role in its conception and design. Then when we went to Gerard together to design wedding rings, she got to have the same experience I did.
We were very happy with the whole process and reassured to have a knowledgeable professional to deal with instead of a commission-earning salesperson. We have no idea whether we paid more or less for our rings than we could have paid in the mall or online, but if we paid more it couldn't have been by much. In the end, though, it was the experience we bought, not just three hunks of metal. It was a wonderful way to start our marriage, and something we'll never forget.
