I'll start by saying I cannot recommend ADB highly enough. I have no idea how my husband found Varouj & his team, but I'm so glad that he did. I was quite specific in my 'asks' for my ideal engagement ring (I was after a yellow diamond, 3 stone ring) and one of ADB's specialties is fancy coloured diamonds. My husband worked with Varouj and together they designed the most spectacular ring (it is honestly better than anything I could have designed myself) and we went back when the time came to have wedding bands made. I was able to see firsthand that Varouj is the most lovely man and he and his team make you feel extremely welcome as from the time you enter his shop. All 3 rings that we've had made by ADB have been perfection - from the experience of designing the ring, to the finished product and the prices are also extremely reasonable (especially when compared to other known jewellery brands). I've been back to the shop many times to have my rings cleaned and have observed the ADB team with customers (most of whom are choosing engagement rings for their partners) and they are just so understanding to peoples' unique requirements, budgets, etc. which is so essential when you consider that this is one of the biggest purchases that many people will make. I have recommended Varouj & team to several colleagues and friends who were shopping for engagement / wedding rings, and at least 5 of them have ultimately gone with Australian Diamond Brokers due to the unrivalled service, quality and value for money. I'm a cautious and methodical person when it comes to important things. After months of research, I decided to make the once-in-a-lifetime purchase of an engagement ring at Australian Diamond Brokers. Initially I was drawn to them because during my first visit there helped by Garren and his dad Varoujan I could feel how their approach to business was different - different from other jewellers I have been to especially in Sydney CBD. Australian Diamond Brokers is literally a family, and they were geared toward assisting, helping, providing information, and responding to my questions and needs (whereas other jewelers were aggressive, pushy, trying to sell hard which was a big turn off). Not only did they make me comfortable and treat me well, but their price was right. I did research to get a feel for the price of diamonds and particular ring-bands using a number of websites - including the big-name online companies that sell jewelry and rings, and other general diamond pricing websites. After reviewing all this information, I determined that the guys at ADB gave me a great price for the ring that I bought. Not only was I treated well and give me a good price - but my now-fiance also loves the ring! The ring is gorgeous. From the moment I walked in & was greeted right up until I left I had such an amazing experience. Garren was not only professional on so many levels he was also very understanding & patient when it came to what I wanted as I'm very fussy and it didn't seem to bother him in the slightest. We didn't think that buying a ring would have been such a fun experience! After going to a few different shops and being shown various diamonds, it was only when we got to ADB that we were shown how each diamond looked under magnification (not just a loupe) to have a better understanding of the 4C's. Most importantly, we were able to try each diamond on in a temporary setting instead of leaving it to our imagination. The characteristics of the diamonds and what we should look for within our budget were clearly explained. The final cost of the diamond worked out to be much less than what we'd managed to find online for similar quality diamonds. And don't get me started with the actual ring! We purchased my ring in 2017. Robert was our dealer and he was patient, knowledgeable and nailed our brief. My partner wanted round I wanted Emerald and Robert introduced us to a Radiant cut diamond and the second we saw it it was love!
