But then, it doesn't pretend to be anything it's not - a shop for cheap, fashionable jewelry. The girls behind the counter very accurately portray the stores target market - teenage/early twenties party girls looking for something to accesorise their totally hot outfit for Friday. It absolutely killed me, but I'm fairly confident that's reflective of the nature of the process as opposed to the staff at Lord of the Jewels. They were lovely - smiling and confident, assuring me that I was going to be fine. If you're in the market for a body piercing, it's probably a good bet. If you're looking for things to dangle out of your existing piercings, it's also a good bet. The range of dangly stuff in this store is mind boggling. They have both gold and silver options, as well as costume jewels on offer. Much is pink and sparkly, but there is also edgier stuff available. It's not overly expensive, nor is it cheap; pretty much exactly what you'd expect to pay.
