**Extremely Disappointing and Misleading Billing**…read more I used Flex car over a year ago, and while the customer service was mediocre, my biggest issue came a full year after I had returned the vehicle and finished using the service. If you rent a vehicle for more than a week, Flex car requires you to sign up for an annual maintenance plan. What I did not realize--and what I don't believe was adequately disclosed--is that this plan automatically renews and charges you another $300 one year later, even if you haven't rented another vehicle and are no longer using Flexcar. They don't allow any refunds of this charge.  I returned the car over a year ago and reasonably believed my relationship with Flexcar was finished. Then, completely unexpectedly, I noticed a $300 charge on my credit card for an annual maintenance plan. There was no notification or reminder that I was about to be charged for another year of a service I wasn't using. Automatically renewing a $300 annual plan for a customer who hasn't used your service in a year, without clearly notifying them beforehand is **predatory and stealing** in my opinion.  Customers should not have to discover a surprise $300 charge on their credit card a year after they stopped using the company. At a minimum, Flex car should provide a clear advance notification of the upcoming renewal and make it easy to cancel. I would strongly recommend checking your credit card statements if you've used Flex car in the past. You may be charged another $300 a year later without realizing the maintenance plan is still active. I will not be using Flex car again and don't recommend others use it either.

Do not rent/lease from this company! Very unethical with their hidden "annual membership" fee. They…read morewon't mention it, you have to find it in the fine print. Then they won't refund once the surprise charge hits your credit card. When a business pulls stunts like this it is sign of how they operate.

My lease was up in May and I came in on March 21 to understand my options. The sales person was extremely helpful and got me into a new Sportage lease that day. The problems began when trying to get my registration and plates. The dealership said they would handle transferring my existing plates over to the new car. However that didn't happen right away. In April, I received a letter from the DMV stating that they had received notification that my insurance on the old lease had ended. When I called to talk to Dutch Miller about it, I was told that the "girl" who does the dmv work was out sick, but she would handle it and give me a call when my paperwork (registration) was ready. Late April, I hadn't heard back so I called again. She was still out and the finance person said he would find out what was going on and call me back the next day. Crickets..... I called in early May, concerned because my tags expired May 30th. I was told, they were working on it and should have something by the end of the week. I texted, I called. Finally yesterday (May 26th), Ali the dmv person called me to explain that they weren't able to get it taken care of because the DMV had put a hold on my plates. Here is the timeline as it was explained to me: March 21 - signed the lease April 15th - registration paperwork submitted to the DMV (by this time a hold was already put on the plate. May 26th - Spoke with the DMV "girl" and a manager. They were going to see if they could rush something through. Made an offer to pay property tax... May 27th - The manager called to say I could pick up my paperwork. So here I am, 3 days before my plates expire. I have to take a day off work to get my plates renewed because it's too late to do it online and the DMV still has a hold on my plates. Had they just taken care of things or given me enough time to handle it myself, I would have. At this point, once this lease is up, I will turn in my car and NEVER purchase from Dutch Miller again. I don't usually do bad reviews, because it's generally unfair, but I know that this is an ongoing problem. I can accept that things happen, but communication would have alleviated so many problems. I had to call and text repeatedly (enough that the receptionist knew my situation) because no one would return my calls. Dutch Miller, your back office is losing you money. Forget that it is costing you customer good will and reputation. It is literally pulling money out of your pocket, because I will never come back to Dutch Miller to satisfy my car needs and based on reviews, I'm not the only one.

A beautiful, Pearly White new 2025 Subaru Forester . The Finance Manager Patrick Leinthall is really the star of this story as he was the one that introduced me to Matthew Schepers (Thank you for showing me your best salesman) AND Patrick also straightened out a piece of my lease agreement that was written up wrong. Not only did he apologize for the mistake, he corrected the error and made it right. A huge thank you to Patrick. I must say that the Subaru brand has won me over as this is my Fourth (4th) New Subaru. 12 years of Subaru Love ! Highly recommend you call Matthew and get yourself a new Subaru! Two thumbs way up !

My wife has asked me twice now to contact the department after feeling dismissed by her service advisor--a sentiment echoed in several reviews, so it's clearly not an isolated experience. Our Ascent currently has 44,000 miles on it, and we've relied exclusively on South Charlotte Subaru for all scheduled maintenance (except for tires, I believe). While vacationing in Asheville in 2023, we first noticed squeaking in the brakes. For two years, we've inquired about the issue, and even received a notice from Subaru of North America about an extended brake warranty. Yet somehow, South Charlotte Subaru has never had the parts to perform the brake pad, rotor, or caliper replacements. It's astonishing that in a city the size of Charlotte, not a single other Subaru owner has apparently needed brake service over the past year--especially when new cars continue rolling off the line, fully equipped. During one visit, my wife was advised to get an injector cleaning, even though it wasn't part of the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. She called me when she saw the bill--almost double the cost of an oil change. They removed the additional charges and only billed her the $80 for routine service, which--while expensive--is consistent with dealership pricing. Our most recent visit led us to call Subaru of North America directly and open a case to get warranty service approved. We purchased the Gold extended warranty under the impression that it functioned as an extension of the original Subaru warranty. While warranty decisions are handled by Subaru of North America, what's frustrating is South Charlotte's reluctance to even contact them for clarification or support. For example, the rear cupholder--which they repaired under warranty a year ago--broke again in the exact same way. This time, however, the service manager refused to reach out to Subaru to confirm coverage. It's discouraging, especially for a car we genuinely enjoy and a brand we were considering for our son's first vehicle in a few years. I initially believed my wife might've been exaggerating her treatment, especially since the dealership recently invested heavily in revamping the service center. But after she picked up the car--with parts left disassembled--I saw the issues firsthand. I was also close to purchasing a Subaru Legacy, but instead chose a Volvo S60. The difference in service has been stark--Volvo's support is leagues ahead despite South Charlotte Subaru's newer, flashier, and more spacious facility. You can do better, South Charlotte Subaru--or at least return to the standard you upheld before trading real service for a shiny new building. I'd gladly take the cramped, no-frills facility if it meant consistent care, rather than just a prettier place to wait while things fall through the cracks.

Five stars for Mason and the entire service team at Volkswagen of South Charlotte…read more I was overdue for an oil change and was pleasantly surprised that they were able to fit me in with a same-day appointment. That convenience alone earned major points. From the moment I pulled into the service drive, the experience felt organized and professional. The covered, air-conditioned check-in area is a nice touch, and Mason greeted me almost immediately. He was friendly, courteous, and professional throughout the visit. In addition to my oil change, I asked him to check two concerns: my key fob had somehow allowed the doors to lock with the keys inside the vehicle, and the power driver's seat had started making a loud grinding noise whenever I adjusted it. Mason made sure both issues were inspected. While I waited, I settled into one of the nicest dealership lounges I've visited. There were comfortable chairs and tables with plenty of room to work, complimentary bottled water, and an impressive self-service coffee station with specialty drinks, hot chocolate, and lattes. They also offered snacks including BelVita Cinnamon Brown Sugar breakfast biscuits (my favorite), granola bars, cookies, and mints. It made the wait comfortable, and I was able to get work done. The service took a little over an hour, and Mason kept me updated along the way, which I really appreciated. He also honored an oil change coupon I found. Even better, Volkswagen of South Charlotte accepts coupons from other Volkswagen dealerships, which is a great customer-friendly policy. When the inspection was complete, Mason explained everything clearly. The key fob checked out normally, so there wasn't anything to repair. The grinding noise under my driver's seat turned out to be a failing seat frame assembly. The repair estimate was significant, so I decided to leave it alone for now and simply avoid adjusting the seat unless necessary. I appreciated that there was no pressure to authorize the repair--just honest information so I could make an informed decision. As an added bonus, they washed my Tiguan before returning it, and Mason personally walked me back to my vehicle and thanked me for coming in. I choose to have my maintenance performed at the dealership because I like maintaining a complete service history for resale value. Between the dealership records and my Carfax Car Care maintenance log, I know the vehicle's maintenance history is well documented. Overall, this was an excellent service experience. Professional staff, honest communication, a comfortable waiting area, fair pricing with coupons, and quality customer service from start to finish. Thank you, Mason, for making what could have been an ordinary oil change such a pleasant experience. I'll definitely be back.

Service advisors and managers claim they need to be able to "duplicate" the issue on their 5 minute test drive, even though we have videos of every instance. The service manager literally said "this is a normal issue with the atlases". They don't reply to emails, answer phone calls and will tell you you're paranoid. Essentially they will happily sell you a $62,000 faulty car and then on top of that will tell you the issues you run into are normal and to "deal with it". Please think twice about buying at this dealership, or even going to the service department here as mine isn't the sole negative experience there.

I'm a Nissan guy at heart as I have been driving them as my primary vehicle for more than 30 years! Scott Clark Nissan has a fabulous Service Department and I have been doing business with them for many years! They have never steered me wrong on services that needed to be done. In fact, they have set me straight where others tried to lead me astray! I once had some work done at BJ's Auto where they told me that there were grooves in my brake rotors and they couldn't be "turned" anymore. They took me back and showed me the grooves and insisted that the rotors needed to be replaced. I said thanks for the "advice" but declined to have the work done there. I took it to Scott Clark Nissan where they promptly informed me that the brakes were going bad but the rotors could be "turned." This saved me several hundred dollars at the time but more importantly it gave me a life lesson as well! Integrity is everything! Never let people without integrity work on your vehicle as they will inevitably lead you astray to rip you off! Actually, this isn't the first time this has happened. I had another mechanic tell me some work "really"needed to be done for my vehicle to be safe. Once again, I got a second opinion at Scott Clark Nissan where they informed me otherwise. As stated previously, I have bought two cars from them as well. Remember I'm a Nissan guy at heart! The first time I bought a car from them we were exposed to a traditional salesman. He did give me a decent deal but I was exposed to the high pressure sales tactics that are commonly employed by them. My advice is to use the internet to look for cars they have in stock to see if you're interested in any of them. I found exactly the car I was looking for minus one option that could be dealership installed. They agreed to install the option as part of the deal. At the time, I wasn't really sure how good a deal I got at the time as I hadn't researched it thoroughly enough prior to going in. After I made the purchase, I researched the numbers extensively and promptly concluded that I received an extraordinary deal! I do have a beef with their "Document Fee" as it's a total crock of shit! Dealerships pretend like it's some kind of governmental fee but it's really just pure profit for them! In any event, they wouldn't drop the document fee but they fudged (adjusted) the other numbers to make up for it. Ultimately, I was very happy with the deal I got from them!

We bought a used 2026 Rogue with 12k miles with a trade-in vehicle. We said NO to the extended warranty but yet they still put it on the buyers order. My husband had to go back to the dealer a few days later to resign the paperwork REMOVING the extended warranty we did NOT want. We have yet to receive the revised paperwork they promised to email (on 8/5/26) nor have we gotten the revised amount from the finance company (Truist). It is starting to feel very bait and switch like. In addition, the back tire on the Rogue also had a huge slice in it which was not disclosed. We immediately requested new tires once we saw the gash. They did replace 2 of the 4 - should have been all 4 to keep the mileage on all tires the same - but it took over a week AFTER we took the car home to get them replaced. We also just got a bill for registration from the DMV for a new license plate which is odd because we specifically requested to transfer the tag from the car we traded in. They even switched the plates for us!! It seems no one knows what they're doing and we can't get anyone to call us back or respond to emails. VERY disappointed and unhappy at this point.
