Had to cancel due to the driver never showed up. Multiple calls and told he would be there in a few minutes but he never showed up. I even got an automated message that the drive was at the pick up address, but he wasn't. I saw the negative reviews but thought I'd give them a try as the reviews are all over a year old. Surely, they had to improve but not so much. Sorry this isn't a reliable option for people who need transportation. We need a good, reliable taxi service in this area. Called this company and scheduled an early 5 am ride because I was worried I would not get an Uber so early. I called them 10 minutes before the cab was supposed to arrive to confirm and they said that they just didn't send one. I asked them why they didn't call with no explanation. Extremely unreliable. Beware of this Taxi company, their drivers are the worst. I got cut off by a very careless driver just now on Atlantic Avenue and Congress Avenue. This irresponsible man was not only on the phone while driving but did not use his signals to make lane changes. I lower my window to talk to him and he started cursing at me, he was an older white haired man wearing dark sunglasses. I would never hire them. read more

HORRIBLE I called to be picked up and the dispatcher told me a 10-15 wait maybe even less. 30 minutes later I call back demanding what the problem is. Apparently the cab that was supposed to pick me up was being held by the previous passenger and will not be available for ANOTHER 30minutes. I understand a 10 even 15 minute hold up, but an hour?! This is ridiculous! The dispatcher was very rude when I had asked "i couldnt have been told of this before?" All she said was NO. Rude and disrespectful of other people's time. Never again. This should be put out of business or a new dispatcher should be hired. read more

I reserved a taxi to take me to the airport the following day. They never showed up. I called to ask what happened and they were unapologetic, saying, "he'll be there in a few minutes." About 5 minutes later, they called again to ask my address. I told them to forget it and woke up my wife and young son to take me to the airport. I've lived in Florida for many years and I know we don't have the most competent services. However, this company has created a new benchmark in horrible service and I don't understand how they can still be in business with so many bad reviews. read more

We have used Metro Taxi for years - on the rare occasion when we need a ride in-town (car in shop), but mostly for rides to the Fort Lauderdale or Miami airport from Boca Raton. Their drivers are always on time and professional. Definitely recommend them. read more

Left stranded by Penske Insurance Dept. (worth repeating) (A Great company with a very bad insurance claims dept) Metro Taxi is also the Penske area representative.. Great service on check in. Ultra pleasant folk. Ordered up a taxi, it took some time, but within reason... Taxi driver drove the meter to almost Forty Dollars ($39.46) on a two point three mile (2.3 mile) run. Rate was three something for the flag drop and with a two something per quarter mile. Driver said he knew exactly where we were going as he drove circles around the destination. I pulled out my GPS to direct him exactly. (Why does not a Taxi have this??) Upon arrival the driver says "CASH ONLY!" even though I could plainly see the credit card device. The dispatch was called about the overcharge. They offered to get back on the overcharge Reasonable enough?!? Trying to get the refund proved futile. Ride a turtle, rent a limo, or walk till you drop dead in the heat, but I would pass on this Taxi "SERVICE". read more

Please don't trust this service. First, one driver became frustrated when he couldn't find where he was going and left 2 teenagers a mile from the school party they were so excited to attend. They never made it and had to take 2 buses home. The same night, they didn't even show up for another family. Several messages have been left for management with no call back. read more

I made arrangements to be picked up and they arrived 45 minute late. I called when they were 15 minutes late and they said the driver was on his way. Soon after I got a call from the driver who said he was 5 minutes away. Thankfully, I had alternate transportation so I left after another 15 minutes passed. He finally arrived 45 minutes late but it was too late for me. So unfortunate. I will never call them again. 45 minutes is just too long. read more

My wife, my son and I stood outside in the hot humid night waiting. The driver was very cordial and drove well and I couldn't blame him for being late as it was obviously a mistake by the dispatcher but, nevertheless, I wouldn't use them again. read more

I was visiting Boca Raton from New York City. I used Metro Taxi from the Hilton Garden Inn Boca Raton to LA Fitness in Delray Beach. Price was very fair. Drivers both ways were friendly but did have about 10 minute wait to take me back to the hotel. Otherwise good service. Would have given 5 stars if wait was reduced. read more

We scheduled our trips (2) from our home on Palm Beach to the Palm Beach airport and confirmed, in advance of those trips that the Metro Van would be available. My wife is arthritic and needs a van. First trip the driver arrived 20 minutes late because, as he said, someone overslept. No van either! We didn't have a chance for breakfast at the airport, just barely making it to the flight. Second trip, returning home a week later, again we confirmed the time and a van. Driver was on time for the pick up and again, NO VAN! I used metro to get from Delray to the best buy in Boynton beach it was a $20 trip which is $12 with uber an the driver was rude an obnoxious! I told him to head towards the Boynton mall bc my destination was across the street an I was trying to look up the address that my phone was acting up an he continued to hound me about the address saying can drivers are not psychic an don't know every road like a Gps An I told what I thought might be the address an he continued to be extremely rude an not drive til I came up with the correct address then when I finally give it to him he pulls out his own phone an decides to look it up to get get the "correct" address which was the same one I told him the first two times. He was a total prick an drove awful an doesn't know how to turn his turn signals off. He went the whole way down 95 with the turn signal on. I can't blame metro for this one drivers actions but I had to write this so everyone knows what a horrible can driver this guy was. read more

I took their taxi from Boca Raton to Fort Lauderdale airport. An Uber would have cost me $35 with tip. A limo I had taken before cost $75.00 including tip. The meter cost of the Metro taxi was $102.50. Their on line "Fair Estimator" says the ride should have cost. $57.00. I called twice to discuss and was told I would get a call back. They never called me back. I will never use them again and you shouldn't etiher. read more

Really would give zero stars. I called and was told by the owner they would take me to Fort Lauderdale airport from Boca for a flat rate of $55. Got to the airport, was charged by the meter for over $68. Cab driver called to inquire, and was told I was never told about the flat rate. Will never use this company again. I called 45 minutes in advance to have my husband and son picked up from the hospital emergency room. Pick up was scheduled for 6:10 am on a Sat so I can't imagine they were super busy. I called at 6:10 to see where they were, as they had not arrived yet. I spoke with an incredibly rude man who then transferred me to somebody saying their driver would be 8 minutes late. After 15 minutes, I called back. I told the woman it was well past the time I scheduled and that it was important my son and husband were picked up as they were at the HOSPITAL. I reiterated location 3 times and importance of pick up asap. She rudely said "ma'am I told you he was on his way and would be there any minute," and then hung up on me. Then, when the cab finally got there- 35 minutes late, she called back saying cab driver couldn't find them in the spot I told her they'd be 5 times. Seriously?? Worst service ever, rudest people I've dealt with. Will never use this service when I come back to FL. My Dad has been wheelchair / scooter bound for a year now, and has not left his living community to go out to eat, or anything other than doctor appointments. He planned a big surprise party for my mom's 86th birthday, making reservations, and calling friends, and setting up handicapped transport with Metro, all 2 weeks in advance. This was a really big deal, party of 11, hopefully paving the way for more outings. Dad called Metro 2 days before, confirming arrangements, and was assured all was in place. On the day of the party, 5 minutes before pickup time, we received a call from Metro, saying there was no van or driver available. When questioned, Metro dispatcher stated he had just come on to work 38 minutes ago, and order just popped up on his screen. He did not know if or when he could get transport to us. We went downstairs, sent the rest of the party to the restaurant, and settled down to wait. After 20 minutes, I called Metro, and was told they could get us to the restaurant, but could not pick up later. Absolutely the worst service and attitude, completely ruined the occasion, and not even a call from the company with an explanation or apology. Don't depend on Metro, they will leave you in the lurch. read more
