If there was a negative star rating, it still would not be way to generous. WARNING: THIS WAS AN EXPERIENCE THAT RUINED MY WEDDING ON MANY LEVELS. In fact, I feel so strongly about sparing anyone from the horrors that I experienced, that I am happy to speak with anyone and everyone about my experience personally. My wedding planner, one of the best in South Florida, said this was hands down the worst experience she had ever heard of in 25 years in this business.
Here is a list of everything that happened in detail:
1) Paid for a transportation coordinator for the entire time. Even had her come through an hour long walk through driving her through the route, confirming times of pick-up and confirming her hours. Not only did she not do her job of explaining everything to the drivers and assisting them when there was issues, but she left at 9:30pm when she was paid through 12:30
2) Limo was supposed to pick us up and take us, the videographer and the photographer around town to take pictures prior to the wedding. The limo was supposed to be there at 4pm. Not only, did we have to have the hotel find another limo, but we had to be driven around by a friend in a honda accord.
3) The shuttle drivers DID NOT HAVE THE ADDRESS OR DIRECTIONS TO THE WEDDING
4) Per my guests, the coordinator was no where to assist
5) Guests at one hotel, nervous when the shuttle did not show up, ran, yes ran over to the other hotel to see if there was a shuttle there. It was 10 minutes before the wedding
6) Once there, my guests had to direct the driver to the wedding location
7) The shuttles were supposed to run continuously from 9:30 pm and last pick-up at 12:30pm
8) When some of my guests went to get on the shuttle at 10pm, the driver said he could not drive until 12 people were on board. This was NEVER NEVER discussed with us or in our contract. Since the coordinator split, there was no one to correct the driver or alert me that this was an issue
9) after waiting for over an hour, my 2 guests in their 70s, were forced to walk home from the wedding at 10pm at night
10) When we came out at 12:10 for the last shuttle, the wedding coordinator was gone and hold on to your hats, the shuttle broke down
11) He had to radio for another shuttle to come get us and this included the bride and groom!!
One would think after everything that happened, the company would have been apologetic, reached out etc. When they did reach out, the compromise they offered was beyond unacceptable. I was then harassed and threatened by the owner and called a liar. Being a generous person and understanding mistakes happened, I offered a compromise.
When I told them they had already charged my card the deposit, they said this was not true. I then had to have the credit card company get involved since their accounting person said this was not true. Thank goodness for records.
Overall, this was an awful experience with a company who violated their contract, delivered the worst customer service and who I should have sued for contract violations and the pain and suffering. I was advised legally to do so but I chose to not since it would have inconvenienced me. So, my only recourse, is to warn all of your brides or potential customers to not use Apollo. My wedding planner has put them on her do not hire list. I also have contacted the knot who gave them an award for best service.
Please reply to this if you would like me to share personally what happened. They questioned my honor, called me a liar, threatened me and said I should be ashamed of myself. Their word is the one that is not good. The only thing that provides comfort is that justice prevails, the truth always wins and what goes around comes around. Shame on your Apollo and you will remember this when it comes around. read more
