Car Service of South Florida was excellent and made the beginning of our trip (right before a predicted hurricane landfall, too) that much less stressful. Alan, our driver, called to confirm the night before and actually showed up outside our home 10 minutes early. He was most friendly and helpful, especially nice considering the time of day! The luxury sedan we had for our ride was comfortable, clean and spacious. The trip from Boca wasn't long, and we made it to the airport very much on time and feeling quite relaxed. Received a phone call from the driver on the way over 15 minutes before arrival to ensure he had the right address and let me know he was on his way. I wish I'd read a review like this before I called them. I am a disabled woman, and I was verbally abused by this driver, who told me "you're crazy, are you taking your medication" when I simply insisted on getting an accurate receipt. This is not the first time -- I had already filed a prior complaint against this same driver for verbal assault and abuse, and Yellow Cab told me I would not be matched with him again. They did not keep their word. I requested a taxi for an 11-mile trip and told the driver clearly, upfront, that I was in a hurry and did not want to take the highway. He ignored me, took the turnpike, and the trip came to 21.02 miles -- nearly double what it should have been. He billed me $31.38 twice for 9.32 miles each, plus another 2.38 miles, totaling $77.42, and refused to give me receipts until police made him. When I objected to paying a third time, he threatened to call the police -- I told him I'd call them myself, and I did not pay a third time. I have this entire incident recorded. The responding officers confirmed with Yellow Cab that I was overcharged and told me directly, on record, that I did not owe him anything further. They issued an incident number for a formal complaint. Because of this driver's behavior, I lost 47 minutes dealing with police and Yellow Cab, and arrived at my 6:00pm class at 6:55pm. Even with police confirmation, "Julie" at Yellow Cab still sided with the driver. I had to insist the camera footage be reviewed, and I have my own recording as well. This is not an isolated incident. I had already reported this specific driver once before for verbal abuse, was promised I wouldn't be matched with him again, and the company failed to honor that. That failure directly enabled this second incident. What makes this worse: I don't even have a choice. My county account requires that I use Yellow Cab or United Cab. If you do have a choice, use Uber, Lyft, or anything else. And if you're a county official reading this, know that disabled residents with no alternative are being subjected to repeat abuse from a driver this company was already warned about.

I had the hair brained idea of taking my gals birthday to the next level, and at the last minute I decided to call around and see what kind of offer I could get. I started with a friends company and was woken up by how pricey it was. There must be some hidden costs I can't see. But I did end up with a decent rate from A1A limos. The driver was a nice guy, he was right on time. He helped get things set up in the back so that we were good to go and comfortable. The limo itself was close to perfect. I believe we had to have our own ice ready but they had gave me a heads up on that so we were set. We had a great night. He drove us to and from a nice dinner and drinks and we blasted music and just had a great time. There is no great discount limo service. It if yer spending the money, A1A is a good call.
