I have the absolutely best experiences with Yellow Cab! I say this as I am with my friend who only uses Uber and the driver is rude, the car is filthy and not very cool even though the temp is reading 61 degrees. Last week just for kicks I tried Friendly Checker Cab and upon arrival at my destination am informed that this driver that he doesn't accept debit/credit cards. Also their dispatch is very unprofessional when taking your call. I've been taking Yellow Cab for over a year and have never had a rude driver or unable to communicate with one (another problem my friend has encountered with Uber), the cabs are always clean and cool. We rode taxi #245, dark skinned black male driver from FLL to the Airport Hilton, a 3-mile distance, and was told by the driver the meter was not working charged us $27 for what should havs been a $13 ride. Yellow taxi drove me to Walmart. I ask to have person ret. She said Im going home. I have called taxi for nearly 3 hrs. every 15 min. I even told Anne I will add 5.00 to fare. We waited for 30 minutes for the taxi. It was to be at our address at a certain time. Did nor show. My son was late for work.

We were dropped at Candlewood suites around 7:30 pm on 7/7. Driver had a heavy island accent. Tried to get us to pay $20 cash rather than use credit card machine. The meter only showed $12. When we questioned him he pointed to a barely visible sign on the window "$13 minimum". Ok, that's not $20. He got belligerent with us and left our bags in the rain which we had to get ourselves. Do not use this company. Please stick with Uber and Lyft. Unfortunately, one of their drivers charged me twice for the same ride stating that his machine was malfunctioning. I saw him print a piece of paper from the receipt machine, he said "it's nothing" when I asked what the receipt was. So this time around, he stopped the clock and his machine finally worked. I often use Uber or Lyft, however, Yellow Cab was outside when I exited the building -- it was more convenient than waiting for Uber or Lyft. BTW, Uber was charging $5.00 for this same drive. I called the Yellow Cab company to notify them of the additional charge and I was transferred twice then sent to a voicemail. My car was at mechanics and I needed a ride home. Mechanic called cab for me, which arrived pretty quickly. I luckily, sat in back of the driver. The ride home started and the cabbies phone starting ringing again and again. (I had placed my handbag and another bag on the back seat next to me. The cabbie thought that I was calling him and I was not. He reached around to the back seat and was grabbing at the bag I had placed on the seat. I was shocked at this behavior. He finally got a telephone call and determined who the caller was. The rest of the ride home was uneventful. We even talked a bit. I did use Yellow Cab again to go back to the mechanic and it was a pleasant experience. read more

Got this cab from the airport to our hotel. The cab driver spoke english but we couldn't really understand him. We told him the name of the hotel and the address and he still got upset about the name of the hotel. I'm sorry buddy, but that's what it says on our itinerary, don't frickin' yell at me! He keeps repeating how we're wrong about the name, ok, whatever, it says it here on our piece of paper we printed, jerk, just drop it already! Shut the hell up! We noticed that we can pay with a credit card instead of cash, which helps so we can use our cash on our cruise instead. He yelled at us and said "you should have told me that sooner!" like it made a difference! It worked just fine so I don't know what he was complaining about! He didn't help us with our luggage getting into his cab and didn't help get it out for us afterwards either. Rude son-of-a-beeswax! Hit and miss. Our first driver took us from the Conrad hotel to Coconuts restaurant. He was friendly and on time. Cost $6.05 plus tip. Our return was a different story. I believe the cab number was 412. Not friendly, fine. Kept the screen with the FARE on turned away from us, unlike the first driver. This guy took us back, Coconuts to the Conrad. Went a different way but not more than 2 minutes difference. Charged us $10. Would not let us see the screen. I complained about the difference he said it's longer to go back. An obvious lie. I've always used Yellow Cab, this was my first time getting ripped off. I was just too tired to call the police on him. read more

Don't ride on Yellow Cab that often. Maybe just once or twice a year when I have to get from FLL to Port Everglades cruise port which is relatively a short ride. The line waiting for the taxi at the airport which is usually short and it is easier than prebooking my ride. Cost is around $25 with tax and tips and they have passenger vans if you have a lot of luggage. read more

On 2-26 at approximately 1PM I hailed a cab from KFLL airport to Chima restaurant on Las Olas. Initially on departure the driver started questioning me about the fares I usually pay suggesting amounts about double the normal fare. I told him the meter is required and if not working would get out, although at an in opportune spot on a ramp to Rt1. He then fooled with the meter suggesting an amount he would put in. I told him to quit screwing around and he magically got it working. When we got to Chima I took out my CC to pay the fare and the driver said the CC device did not work and he would put it thru his PayPal. I asked to see his Cab license and after fishing around produce one that was not the driver of the vehicle. I told him I would take pictures and at that point he told me I would not have to pay?? I left the vehicle to file this report, pictures attached. Taxi 3019. I did try to call, No answer, I will file a police report, and commission complaint. read more

I used this service Saturday night because the company was heavily promoted by the 2019 Riptide Festival and there was a $10 discount. I booked the ride as we arrived, but the driver took 30 minutes to pick us up - while the app showed him as in the vicinity. I called him after 10 minutes of booking him and he said he was 4 minutes away. He said that several times each time I called during the 30 minutes this guy had us waiting. I don't know how he rigged the system to say he was there when he wasn't, but the driver was unreliable and a liar. I would NEVER use this service again. I used Lyft on the ride back and the driver picked us up within minutes and we saw their actual location on the app. I admire someone who works hard and hustles to make a buck, but claiming the pick up and not showing until AGES later and then not owning up to their mistake and falsehood was just beyond unacceptable. When I called with more details was told that even though I had a reservation they were not sending a cab, leaving 4 of us stranded. I was just cut off by a driver in vehicle 717. It was a merging lane which flows normally, I know I live here. It's called common courtesy. I let one car go then it was my turn. This jerk not only forced his way in he forced me to into the oncoming traffic. I had my son in the car. To add insult to all of it he kept waving. Not only was he in the wrong he put my son's and my life at risk. For what? So he could beat me to his location by seconds. Now I see what people have always said, cab drivers are reckless and vile people. It's no wonder people would rather use Uber or Lyft. Terrible rip off - worse than any cab I've been in, and I'm in cabs multiple times a week. Cabbie left the airport and pretended to not know my hotel. Pulled off on the highway in an unsafe location and muttered something about having "lost" $25 because he hadn't put the meter on. (When we arrived at the destination, he tried to badger me into paying the $25 - not a chance, buddy.) He drove 45 in the 65 mph HOV lane, causing people to zip around us, honk, flip us off, and even cut in front of us and tap on the brakes. All very unsafe. Thinking this was his way of inflating the fare, I asked him to go the speed limit, and then he had trouble staying in the lane. Argumentative. UNSAFE. I was literally texting people during this drive, giving them the cab number, etc, in case something happened. Ridiculous. And then argumentative when he didn't get a tip (or that $25 he was trying to scam, and, rip off from the company). Plus, complainy about someone using a credit card. Puh-leeze. read more

According to Websters dictionary reservations means......an arrangement to have something (such as a hotel room) held for one's use; also : a promise, guarantee, or record of such engagement When one makes a reservation for a pick up and is told repeatedly when calling to confirm and being told they are all set, would expect a cab to arrive to pick up a 94 year old great grandma on her way to her great granddaughters 1st birthday party that the cab would arrive as reserved!!!! Apparently @yellowcabbroward it means that making a reservation for their wheelchair accessible van is not guaranteed it's based on availability. If they have simply told me this when I made the reservation I would have made other arrangements and not had to deal with their rude employee. read more

I work Guest Services at a hotel and deal with Yellow cab frequently. I set up a time call 2 hours before the ride was needed to ensure promptness. The cab was still 45 minutes late even after calling back twice after the scheduled pick up time. What is the point of set up calls ahead if it doesn't ensure prompt pick up? I encourage everyone to use Lyft or Uber instead. read more

Stay away from SuperShuttle and Yellow Cab. You are better off using Uber. I booked two cars through SuperShuttle for pickup on July 3, 2022 - one from my home and the second car from my brother's home. We were to meet at Fort Lauderdale Airport. I paid in advance for both. My confirmation pickup time was 4:24 a.m. and pickup for my brother was close to the same time. I waited 50 minutes for pickup. Was afraid of missing the flight so called an Uber and proceeded to cancel SuperShuttle. The Uber pulled into the driveway two minutes after my call, with the Yellow Cab (they were contracted by SuperShuttle for this fare) right behind him. Uber came so fast I didn't have time to cancel SuperShuttle. I went to the airport with Uber. Ended up paying for both the Uber and the Yellow Cab. My brother encountered his own set of issues with Yellow Cab (contracted by SuperShuttle also). The driver was half an hour late picking him up. All the way to the airport on the Florida Turnpike, the driver kept drifting out of his lane, and yanking the car back. Was he impaired? Sleepy? All I can say is he endangered the life of my family with reckless driving. There weren't many cars on the road at that time of the morning, which was fortunate. I began calling SuperShuttle on July 7 to complain about our experiences, and to request a refund for the trip I booked. After four phone calls over one and a half months, I finally received a call back from Yellow Cab. They refused to refund the fare, since the driver did eventually show up. Uber was less than half the price I paid for SuperShuttle (Yellow Cab), and the driver was at my home two minutes after I called for the ride. Take heed and avoid a great deal of aggravation and expense. read more

I have no taken a cab in years and took one while visiting Fort Lauderdale on business. I always take Lyft. I left my hotel on Lyft to have lunch at a restaurant. My phone died and I could not request a ride back to the hotel and the waitress used her phone to call Yellow Cab. This was a big mistake. When I got into the cab, the driver was on his cell phone and did not hear that I wanted to go to the Holiday Inn Express Hotel, he took me to the B Ocean Hotel instead. I told him this is not the hotel that I told you. I gave him the address and several minutes later, I'm paying 23.00. He has a nasty attitude when I told him that I should not have to pay for his mistake. This is what is so crazy, I took Lyft from the hotel to the restaurant and it was only $8.45. I predict that in a few years, the cab companies as they exist today will be obsolete. read more

Taxi service from Fort Lauderdale Cruise Terminal to the FLL was a horrible experience. Yellow Cab with 888-888-8888, License Plate: GTDB43, Taxi number:767. He had his ear piece in his ear whole time so I had to let him know several times that we were flying out of Alaska Airline which was in Terminal 1. He simply passed Terminal 1 and were looking for it at the Terminal 3 instead. I have attempted to tell him that he passed Alaska gates about four times due to his lack of attention. When I finally got his attention, he argued that I told him Alaska Air was in Terminal 3 which I never told him. Problem 1: He paid no attention whatsoever to passengers' request. Problem 2: He had zero customer skill. Uber is a much better option. 888-888-8888 company, you have no one to blame but yourself if your company goes belly up. read more

I missed my connecting flight at FLL airport & had to get a hotel room for my 6:30 am flight. I was stressed trying to find a cab with good ratings on-line. I called Yellow because they seemed to be close to my hotel. I asked the dispatcher if they took credit cards (to confirm, per previous reviews) and he said yes. I requested my pick-up for 4:15am. I received a text stating that my cab was 'en route', then around 4:10, I received a call from the driver stating that he was here; no rush. My driver was Eric, and he was ~fabulous~! If I could give zero stars, I would. We caught a cab at the Ft Lauderdale airport on March 9 and the driver had me enter the address in his phone. I knew the hotel was less than 10 miles from the airport. As soon as we got on the highway, his meter (iPad) stopped working. We had been in the cab for awhile and I started noticing signs for Miami being only 6 miles away. I told the driver that he was way too far south and the crazy jerk came to a dead stop in the middle of the freeway and started yelling at me that I was the one who put in the address for Miami Beach. That was NOT the case. The address was in Dania Beach and I knew I put in the right one. My mom and I begged him to pull off the road and figure out where the hotel actually was and he just kept going into Miami Beach! My mom was getting frightened and I was getting pissed and I started looking for a hotel so I could get away from that guy and I would have witnesses in case anything happened. I finally spotted a hotel and told him to pull over because he was lost and was looking for a nonexistent address in Miami Beach. I pulled the address up on my phone and could see how far away he was. He got our luggage out and was very aggressive about paying him. I ended up giving him 40 bucks and he started yelling it wasn't enough. I told him it was all he was getting and he started to yell and threaten me. At that point I told him I was done and was going to call the police because he basically kidnapped us. Of course, then I had to get transportation back to Ft. Lauderdale. This was an unbelievably terrifying experience and I will tell you, after reading the reviews, seems to be very common with this cab company. Stick with Lyft or Uber. read more
