This driver was outrageous. My husband , 6yr old grandson and I just flew in to Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood airport , went to taxi stand. Said location , which was close but not walkable and no shuttle at arrival time. Taxi stand manager gave us to a canoe who when we said location , started cussing and saying " Take the ducking shuttle" " who the fuck takes a can" and on and on-ignited my request to pull over while still at airport, started raging at all drivers, driving erratic. He turned the iPad away from us so we couldn't see the fare meter . When got to hotel he said charge was $20 , wouldn't show the meter then finally did and it was $15. Husband gave 20 $bill demanded charge. Said no tip to which the rudest driver ever shouted " I dont need this " and sped away. Complaint filed but not a lot of customer service at customer service. this guy took me from FLL airport to The Boca Raton resort. Before we got in I asked if it was flat fee or meter. He said meter. We arrive at resort and I asked how much. Can driver says $150. I thought it was a lot and I asked to see meter. Them he says "ok lets do $120 cash". I said, let me see the meter please as Im oaying with credit card. This taxi company is horrible!! We needed a ride from the cruise terminal to the airport. The side of the taxi says they take Visa. The cab driver waits to tell us he only will take $40 in cash after we are already on our way. My husband told him we don't have cash. We get to the airport and he says he will only accept cash. He was so aggressive. My husband told him we only have $25 in cash and to take it or leave it. He took the cash. We saw a line of taxis, and an employee assigned us to the first taxi in the line, which happened to be from United Cab. The driver got out of the taxi and placed my husband's and my suitcases in the back of his spacious vehicle. The answer was yes, but when I boarded the cab at the taxi stand, the meter was off. I asked the driver to turn it on and he said the fare was fixed at $30. My hotel concierge said it should've been less than $20. Returning from a cruise on 3/8/2025, I boarded cab #638 which had stickers all over the windows alerting passengers that all rides were metered. I asked the driver to turn the meter on. On November 26, I left Fort Lauderdale Airport and informed the cab driver I was headed to downtown Hollywood right off US1. However, the driver chose to bypass US1 and took 595 to 95 South instead, which more than doubled the distance from the airport to my home. When I questioned him about this route, he claimed it was the best option because he assumed I was a tourist. Consequently, I was charged $48.32 for what should have been only a $20 fare--$30 with a tip would have been acceptable. It's no surprise that many people have a lack of trust in taxi drivers. The cab was dirty, the driver acted oblivious, and the overall experience was disappointing. I suppose I'll have to wait a bit longer to use Uber next time. read more

This service is absolutely horrible. On 11/21 we hailed United Cab of Broward (car #573) at the Embassy Suites to go back to the airport after business meetings. When I got in the car I let the driver know before we got started I would be using my card and needed a receipt. He barked that he wanted cash and I agreed as along as I could get a receipt, that should have been that. He proceeds to drive us swearing and cursing the whole way barely under his breath as if our conversation bothered him, and my companion said she could see that he repeatedly gave us the finger with his hand outside of his car. When we got there I gave him a $20 bill for a $16 ride and he looked at me like he was daring me to ask for change when all I wanted was a receipt.
