I originally wrote a good review but after the fact there was a huge delay in receiving our registration. Well after a reasonable amount of time and many phone calls to their office where I felt like we were getting brushed off, we did receive our ownership. 4 months later we got a knock on the door from the Police. Apparently, Metro RV was making a habit of buying RV's on consignment and then NOT paying the original owner when their RV was purchased from The Metro RV lot. The contract I signed was a 50/50 split, $90 a month for insurance, issues caused by renters were to be taken care of by Metro RV, and general maintenance covered by me. Monthly reports of rentals were supposed to be generated and sent to me, and they had my contact info on file (address, phone number, email). They took my trailer in May of 2017 and did an inspection, finding a handful of minor repairs they said they'd make (patch in the Vinyl floor, battery replaced, small hole in interior wall. After about a month and a half I called to check in on the trailer and they called me back to tell me it had been rented out twice ($325 was my share). I asked how soon they'd send the rental paperwork info and how the check would be issued, and they said they'd get back to me. A month passed (now July) with no check or contact from Metro RV. This is peak summer season, so I'm expecting them to be busy. I call them a few times a day/after leaving voicemails twice, I finally reached them on the 3 day. They said they hadn't rented my trailer out since the last time, and were unsure if the initial repairs that we talked about during the inspection had been done. Another month passes (now august) and I call once again checking in and asking why they haven't contacted me since the second month. They tell me they'll call me back, and after a week of waiting for a return phone I drove the hour and a half down to Burbank and asked for my trailer back. They informed me that the trailer was damaged (specifically the bearings to the front axel). This was the first time hearing about this issue, and it had been almost 2 months since the trailer had been rented to anyone. I asked how long it would take for them to repair it, and they said a week or two. So over the next 2 months I called almost weekly to check in on the trailer, and heard the same story from their rental department; they weren't sure if the trailer was done yet, and every time I called they said that they would "check on it". For 2 months the trailer sat in their shop (during peak season) because they didn't know how to order a part, fix a trailer and call me to keep me in the loop. They did not do their do diligence to make my trailer profitable in our partnership. During the following 2 month period, I asked for the manager Roberto. He informed me it wasn't the bearings, but the axel that had to be replaced. He did not have a price for me, but would "get back to me". Apparently he claimed that they didn't have my information on file, and that they "tried to call me" during the months of June and July when the trailer was first damaged. He said that it was a maintenance issue, and that I would have to cover the repair. I asked why they didn't catch this during the inspection, and he said they "assumed" this maintenance had been taken care of by me. So I pulled my phone records and saw my 8 phone calls out and their 1 phone call into my phone. It's kind of funny that they think they can be dishonest about phone calls that have legal transaction records. I asked the rental department if the insurance covered the damage, and they informed me they never put me on the insurance. I had signed paperwork stating they would, and I hadn't been. In September, their repair department finally called me and informed me that they found an axel, and they quoted me $700 for the parts and repairs. I informed him that I'm not paying for damaged caused by a renter. A week later Roberto called me and told me that with my credit of $325 (which they still hadn't paid out up to this point), they would do it for $200. I was done trying to get this company, so I just said yes to get my trailer back. The service department called again and told me the carburetor on the generator needs to be replaced and that they would cover the repair. They said it would be ready Friday. I called Friday and they said Tuesday. So I came in Tuesday and guess what, the part hadn't been replaced still. They asked me to find the part and bring the trailer and the part back to them to fix it. At this point, they'll never touch my trailer again. I will do everything in my power to minimize business for Metro RV. They should not be in business. read more

My wife and recently rented a 25' Winnebago View for 1 week during the holidays. After reading the horrible reviews about Metro RV I was skeptical about renting from them. It was the most convenient location for us so I said "WTF". I stopped by 1 month prior to our vacation to check out what they had to offer and was pleasantly surprised at the condition of their rentals. The rental person "Cheryl" was not in so I made a appointment to see her a few days later. When I showed up there were quite a few more RV's on site to check out so I asked to take a look. Cheryl was happy to give me the grand tour of all the RV's that were there, showing me all the functions, bells & whistles they had to offer. She was very knowledgeable about the RV's right down to the MPG'S. After the awesome attitude I received from Cheryl I decided to reserve one. We went to her office and she broke down all the prices and made me feel very good about the price and assured me there would be no bullshit "hidden charges" to look forward to. She promised me that I would get the exact RV that we looked at and would not pull the old " BAIT & SWITCH" and leave me with a broke down old junk box the day of my departure. She even gave me a earlier pick-up time, and a later return time to make our trip a little more enjoyable. On the day of our departure I showed up to see that they were washing the RV . I went inside and paid the rest of my bill and was greeted by Cheryl with a smile on her face. We quickly took care of the paper work and I was sent on my way. During my orientation I notice that the RV had some minor dents and scratches but nothing too bad. The interior I thought could use a little more love but I was eager to get on the road, so off we went. We spent a few days at a 3 different lakes and had a so much fricken fun with our RV! We fished, hiked, drank, cooked never once having any problems with it. We opted for a few nights without full hook-ups so we could be right next to the water. The propane heater and generator worked great, and the shower had plenty of hot water and very good water pressure. The dinning table pop-out feature was awesome giving us plenty of space to cook our meals and hang out watching DVDS while looking at our campfire through the screen door. We were very sad to leave. Upon return I was greeted by Cheryl again and did the return paper work. We actually returned the RV with the Interior a little cleaner than it was when we received it so there was no problems. We are already staring to plan a Yosemite trip later this year and possibly renting a larger RV from Metro. Cheryl is a professional and very helpful. I went in on a Saturday with my oldie but goodie camper/van without an appointment. I was packing for a trip and the electrical inside wouldn't work. The generator was running but no lights :( I was expecting to have a big electrical issue or connection problem, but it was just a "stupid girl's" mistake. Some plug and some minor issue. Totally fixed w/o a hassle or anything. Very helpful and courteous. I've read lots of negative about this place, but I've been taking my little old van in there for a year now with good service. read more

I completely understand the bad reviews for MetroRV in Burbank. We have used them for 20+ years and it's gone soooooo downhill for the past 3-5+. I wish we had a closer option but we will be driving more miles for better service and cleaner WORKING motorhomes. It's a shame they don't care for their long term customers. What a slap in the face when we see friends at NASCAR, we referred them to MetroRV, they have a gorgeous coach and they treat us like shit....3 motorhomes In this weekend and 20 + years as a customer. DISHONEST folks and CRAPPY RV's. We rented an RV from Metro for a 3 day family trip. When we got to the location (a quite chilly area) the heater did not work. We spent the night freezing and wound up having to leave before the next evening because of the cold. When we returned, they acknowledged the heater did not work (because the battery was weak), yet they REFUSED to refund our money, or even a part of it. These are not good people and you will do better going to another RV rental place for decent customer service and working vehicles. And, they are RUDE (they accused us of lying, when they were the liars). My recommendation: Do Not Use! read more

I recently bought a trailer and needed a few things to get going. The staff at the parts department was knowledgeable and friendly. Victor took the time to look up some particular parts and get me some prices. I went out to Camping World in Valencia and found a couple of things cheaper (after buying the Sam Membership) but other items were more expensive as well. My leveling/sway kit were about 60 bucks cheaper at Metro. Batteries for example, were cheaper at Camping World. The service department was top notch. I failed at installing the hitch on my own and had to dump my black water. Danny took great care of me, got my tank drained (I didnt even have to do it myself!), and they fixed my hitch all for an insanely reasonable price. Ill definitely be going back to get some replacement parts for my trailer and would recommend using Metro if you need anything for your RV or trailer. read more

I had a good experience when I purchased my new travel trailer back in 2005 and I had another good experience this week when I needed help getting a copy of the sales contract from 13 years ago. Marisa in the business was very helpful. She was willing to spend the time to pull up the sales contract and email it me and she even followed up a bit later to verify I received it. This was our 4th time renting an RV from metro rv, and once again, we were extremely pleased by their service. Keenen helped us reserve our RV months in advance and also did our walk through when we picked it up. Great customer service on his part and he answered every question. When we were on the road and had an issue , he quickly solved them over the phone. On our return, Ulysses, inspected our RV and again provided exceptional customer service. To any of you motor home owners, or if you are planning to buy one. Stay far away from Metro RV in Burbank. 2 years ago we traded our small RV in for a bigger one. Well, they took 3 1/2 months to pay off our trade in. We kept calling and bugging them and made sure the credit union that we had the loan with, was aware of the trade and that Metro RV was dragging their feet. They always had an excuse why it hadn't been paid off. But luckily all was resolved because we were persistent. Well, today an investigator from the DMV came to our house to ask about the transaction. Turns out Metro RV has been embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars. Selling RV's, taking trade-ins, selling them and never paying off the loans as agreed. They are dirty rotten cheats. The investigator said we were lucky, because about 60 other RV owners have had their credit affected from their loans going into default. We will gladly testify against them if need be. It's just shocking to me that they have the guts to try and rip people off like that. Especially a business that's been there for years. Very sad & disappointing. The DMV has revoked their license to sell vehicles ever again, and they are trying to file bankruptcy. But they are still in business repairing RV's, selling RV supplies and renting them. So please, do not do business with them. Save yourselves. And if you, or someone you know has had similar problems, call the DMV and ask for investigator, Kenneth Holt. (562) 403-1020. I rented an RV from METRO RV on June 26th. The rental dates were from the 28th of June ( pick up date ) until July 13th ( drop off date ). On June 26th I picked up the RV. When I picked up the RV the mechanic person and I did an inspection of the vehicle. During the inspection I did notice a lot of marks all over the vehicle and made note. Everything else appeared to be in working order. "Appeared to be turns", out to be the operative phrase. On the 28th I picked up the vehicle and drove it home so that I could pack it and start driving the following day. Traveling with me was my wife, 2 children ( ages 6 & 7 ) and my 70 year old mother. About 2/3 of the way to Carmel Valley from our home in Los Angeles on the 29th, the Brake Pressure light turned on and started beeping, then with in a few minutes it went off. About anther 20 miles it went on again. I pulled off the road and thought I would look under the hood. As soon as I pulled up the hood It came to light I was out of my element with this type of an engine. I decided to start the RV again and noticed the light was off. Just before we pulled into CARMEL VALLEY RANCH the light went on again, but this time the ABS light came on as well. And a loud beeping started. I stop the truck and call the 800 emergency number. After waiting for some time we were told that the emergency people were able to contact METRO RV and were told DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT, it is FAULTY SWITCH, when it gets hot it will go off.... I then asked the next logical question : How would I know if the brakes were really out? I got no response. We decided to sit for a little while to let this "SWITCH COOL OFF ", after a period of time we made it to CARMEL VALLEY RANCH. Just as we pulled up all the LIGHTS went on. I parked the RV and figured well we will be here for two days so that should make it very COOL... Two days later we left the Ranch and headed up to Lincoln City, Oregon. Driving along the 101. While in the Redwoods the Lights and beeping started again, this time it would not stop. I finally pulled over, called the emergency line and received the same reply. We decided to park for the night. The next we headed out and with in 200 miles the lights and beeping started. I pulled over and decided I would check the OIL, WATER and what not. I took note the OIL was very low. After letting things rest for a period of time we finally made it to our final destination. At the destination we asked them for help putting OIL in the RV, which they added 1 Gallon. On the way back home, the AC ( too which there are 3 AC's, DRIVERS CAB, HOUSE & BEDROOM ( In this case it is the AC in the HOUSE I am referring , which is where everyone sits when you drive )) started blowing WHITE SMOKE OUT OF IT and smelled. We quickly turned it off. We stopped just outside of Mnt. Shasta at an RV park and called the 800 Emergency Line. They told me they had to contact some one at METRO RV to get permission to fix the AC. After a couple of hours I called them back and was told they were still waiting for a call back. No one ever called us back, we ended up going with out AC in the house part of the RV. On the Drive back the next day on Highway 5, we had to drive through Central California where TEMPS reached between 100 and 107... The RV was baking and everyone was sweating badly. Plus we had to keep stopping to let the faulty switch cool down!!! When we got back to Los Angeles and I dropped off the RV the mechanic verified something was wrong with the AC. I asked for a discount and was told NO... I was in SHOCK... The product was clearly Broken and verified by them. I was not TOLD there was FAULTY SWITCH for brakes that would casue use to waiste HOURS and HOURS sitting on the side of the road waiting for it to cool off. ( There was no way I was going to take a chance with my children, wife and mother in the RV ) I was not TOLD the AC would not be working and we would all be bathing in extreme HEAT that was borderline dangerous... I feel METRO RV clearly is selling a product that is dangerous... read more

First of all since they have few 'killing' reviews on Metro RV they open Metro Rv Inc which is basically the same place and address so don't let them full u!!! I've checked prices on renting diesel RV and came up with Metro RV....talked to Toni one of the salesman's there who said as a fact the 34 footer diesel RV he offer will do 12mile a galon which was important to me on 1300 miles trip. At the day of the rental the guy who seat next to Toni if not 12miles it will do between 8-12 miles. we are party of 4 people. In reality after the trip with all the gas receipt this RV made 4.75 miles a gallon...yak. after setting a price on the phone I gave a Refundable Deposit of $500 and payed in full on the rental at the day I rent. Got the RV with many issues that I find out later like leaking shower, dining table falling all the time, shower hose outside is totally not functional....5 remote controls and only one working. The DVD we had to operate manually. We had fun regardless all of that and when we came back I return the RV and everything was fine. No one was there beside the technician so I had to call and call and call until I got Toni on the phone who promised to call back, u would of expect a guy who rent u the RV to ask how was your trip and experience but what ever....he didn't call for few days and I called very angry by not even say hi just asking what about my deposit??? He said well u have few extra miles so ur deposit will be lass....I told him that I want my deposit in full since he lie to me about the fuel consumption of the RV and I won't accept less then my full deposit. When I realize I need to go above him I asked to talk to the supervisor and did so....he promised to return the deposit and I haven't seem it in my account until today. Today I called to Credit card company and filed a dispute. Stay a way from this place don't even think for a sec to rent or buy from them. There price seem very competitive but once u meet this guys u understand how shady this place is!!! read more

My RV broke down​. To save our trip, rented a 25' for $1400 for 5 days from Metro. A total lemon! Called them so many times- breakdowns cast a stressful shadow over our trip and cost us a ton of precious time. We returned, I had MY RV​ towed to them for repairs- $500 later, Ulysses told me that he fixed it, "all good- ready for the road" ​and that I 'needed new tires and all two batteries". I had just purchased new tires and batteries​ last year, so I declined. When they drove it out to me, it was revving to high heaven, the engine cover part of the dash wasn't​ on- and then I​ noticed the carburetor​ cap was on the passenger seat! I went back into the office- "Ulysses, the engine wasn't​ put back together​​!" he said, "We didn't​ work on the engine, only worked on electrical. We can look at it, but we will have to charge you." They were content with sending me on the road with a disassembled​ engine- as if it was MY mistake! WTF?! I spent over 2k with them in a month- the whole experience was shit. The bottom line is, Roberto Almuina (Owner) is a crook. We've had years of interaction with this place and it just never ends. The damage to our RV (often with attempts to hide it), the requests to fix things that go unfulfilled for months, even the refusal to put a simple repair order for a $100 item in writing (for fear of having to actually fix the item? I don't know). Do yourself a favor and stay away. Even if you have to pay more money, or spend more time driving somewhere else, do it. Once you step foot into this place, you will enter a never ending abyss of problems and frustrations. read more

Left a deposit 3 months before the rental time to save a specific RV. 1 month in they said it want to pick another one it mit not be ready. After 20 calls not returned. After paying for the rental before hand come pick up day it was not ready. I was stuck with the only one left. One I didnt want. Not only did it ruin my vacation that I paid thousands of dollars for, but the ( new) rv was broken all over the place and half the stuff didn't work. Not a sorry or anything. Worst ever! I drove my rv from Reseda to their shop for an estimate for servicing. Mgr Mike was very helpful but that was it. I was greeted by the owner Roberto who was very short in gaining my business but was quick to tell me Mike worked for him. After asking me 4x the same question then asking me is the rv mine, I then became agitated. I suggested for him to call Mike then ask why was I instructed to leave the rv. Once he understood he then gives me a look over my rv with his hands and says "I don't see anything wrong with your rv" and gives me a referral to another shop. I don't understand why have me come there if they don't do the work for the reason I was coming. Take your business where you will be most appreciated. read more

After taking my RV to this place several times, and having the same work done -- oil change, and detail/wash. Each time the price is different. And this last time the $300 wash/detail was $500. Thank God for Ulysses and everyone at Metro RV! My whole life depends on my work truck and when the brand new generator broke down, I was in such an overwhelmed and paniced state. The guys were so kind and patient with me. They found the problem (which because they've seen this once before, they had an easier time diagnosing, experience pays) and worked with Onan to get a solution. I know they spent A LOT of time on the phone trying to figure out the issue and the warranty. It really felt like they were advocating for me. I overheard another female worker doing the same thing for someone else. She was like "my customer has been very patient and I need you to help me get this resolved" I was like, daanng.. you guys really care! It was a bit of a process, but that's not really their fault. Just have patience. I was there watching for quite a few hours and they work hard! The auto tech even took the time to go over everything with me and show me what to look out for if it happens again, even though it was closing time. I cant say enough good things. Cheryl has always been very considerate and understanding for my RV rental needs. The RV is always spotless and clean when I pick it up. Fuel, water, batteries and propane is full. The refrigerator is cold. After a quick run-through of the RVs features, I can drive off and pack all my belongings in it. Cheryl is quick to remedy any problem that I encounter. Some of these yelp reviews are harsh! I've been here about 5 times in the last few weeks for miscellaneous things...a dump/flush, window gaskets, new locks, and various parts. The staff is really friendly and helpful and they answer all of my naive questions. Reasonable prices, good inventory, beats driving out to the bigger box stores and waiting for online shipping. This is a place that I would go anytime that I would want to rent an Recreation Vehicle. I rented a 26 footer to take to Yosemite Valley. The entire process was fantastic. Ulysses is one of the finest customer service people that I have ever done business. Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. He was there for me during the entire process and never failed to make sure that I had all the information needed to operate and understand the capabilities of the vehicle. Drove it to Yosemite and back without any problems. I would not hesitate to recommend this business. As Ulysses told me they are not in the business to make people unhappy. read more

We had the roof replaced on our 31 ft. Class C Motorhome at Metro RV. The work was excellent and completed in a timely manner. The customer service was great as they explained in detail all the work they would perform and all related costs. After getting 3 estimates they were the most reasonable.
