Waste of time, trying a 3rd location with a pool...after a few visits in Jericho I was ignored....

Terrible and a waste of time and money. It's a chain which takes on high volume of patients and provides 0 personal care. It's all an efficiency machine. I felt I wasn't progressing so I spoke to my chiropractor who had me speak to the PTs in his office (they have a joint practice). Right away when I mentioned Metro, I could see the look in his face. We discussed how my exercise program had been stagnant for 3 months. He right away knew I wasn't getting the progression I needed. Unfortunately that office didn't accept my insurance but they were willing to charge me a very fair and reasonable co pay. At Metro they would rub my calf and barely apply pressure. There was no stretching or scar tissues breakup. At the new place they stretch my ankle and they use multiple tactics better break down scar tissues. Metro wants to process you quickly so they can make money off the next patient, At Metro the staff talk to each other while working on patients. At my new place they are talking to their patient At Metro no one keeps an eye out on form while you're exercising. At the new place they are constantly walking around checking up on people exercising. Before at Metro I was doing the same ineffective exercises 5 months post op that I was doing 2 months post op. I finally said something and the physical therapist said she would adjust my program. As the patient, why am I asking to have my program updated? A good physical therapist is constantly trying to progress the program. A place like Metro rather spend that time and energy squeezing as many patients into their machine. At the new place I get a new or different exercise every session. I'm challenged more. You can see the difference between a chain and small shop instantly. The new place doesn't take my insurance but charge a very reasonable co pay. If I continued going to Metro I wouldn't have a copay. Let's just say this. I'm not rich or poor. Anyone would prefer free PT over a co pay. It's important for me to have a solid two final months of PT before transitioning back into activity. the difference in care night and day so I chose to suck it up and deal with the copay which is still very fair and reasonable. Metro is the worst PT place I've ever been to. I strongly would reconsider. Don't let the reviews fool you. To me, they are fake. I can't see how this place can be as bad as they are and have that many people raving about them. read more

This place is AWESOME!!! Twice a week I had P/T with the same WONDERFULLY WONDERFUL therapists whose care and concern for my recovery from a lumbar fusion was for me, a true Blessing! I really had the feeling that this group of very caring "people" loved doing what they trained to do because of the care and concern that was shown to me. I HIGHLY APPRECIATED AND STRONGLY RECOMMEND the Selden office group for helping you with your physical therapy needs if/when you need it. They are "THE BOMB.COM"!!! read more

absolute horrible service all the way from the rude girls at the front desk to the physical/ occupational therapists/aids in the back who just moan and complain. there hands on therapy/massage is also awful!!! they just throw a bunch of exercises at you and leave it at that. the people they hire are a bunch of brats who are very unfriendly and rude. avoid this one at all costs!!! i dont waste your hard-earned copay dollars$$$$$ on these unprofessionals and neither should you! i will be reporting this location to higher ups. the reason a person goes to therapy is to feel better and not have to deal with such an arrogant crowd. here is some advice metro selden pt: your getting paid so be friendly and keep it professional at all costs, something your business location does not do!!!! if your miserable at your job, go find another job! dont take it out on the paying customer! they can't wait for the patients to leave and for it to get slow so that they can go in the back and eat or conglomerate giving massages to each other. i have actually walked in when it was slow and thats what they all do!!!!! and then you actually get attitude because you disrupted their paid goof off time! i will not be recommending this location to family members or friends in the future. one word that describes this place: ridiculous!!!! read more

I had a massive 4th surgery on my hip and knew that I would need different PT from the prior 3 surgeries. I found that with the compassionate expertise of my therapist Annie who carefully studied my case and understood what needed to be done. She created an exercise regimen to slowly build up my very damaged muscles and hip. Her constant encouragement and uplifting nature keeps me focused on my recovery. The other therapist, Lisa, is just as caring as Annie with the other patients. From the smiling face of receptionist Casey who patiently helps all visitors, to the support staff who keep all the equipment clean and sterile, I highly recommend Metro PT to all who need to experience what great physical therapy means. My daughter has been going to Metro Physical Therapy in Selden, her physical therapist is Samantha. Sam is a certified Schroth Therapist and is very knowledgeable, patient and so nice. I've learned that too much aggression with an injury can keep you from improving and possibly cause your injury to get worse. For that reason, I left Metro P/T and went to another physical therapy group. I now have tremendous improvement and hand movement. I won't be returning. read more

1.5 weeks ago I finished my therapy with Jillian. after being unable to walk due to a fall requiring surgery, she had me up and walking as soon as my dr said it was ok to put weight on my leg. prior Jillian gave me all the exercises to do to strengthen my leg along with massages. Jillian was great to work with. so professional and friendly. the entire staff at Metro was a pleasure to work with. everyone helping as needed. should I ever need PT again, I will definitely be going back to see Jillian!
