I have been to Spagnoli PT for many years for several back and neck injuries as well as two shoulder surgeries and two hip replacements and could not imagine going anywhere else. I have seen several different therapists and they are all caring and highly skilled I recently was out of state eight weeks after my latest hip replacement and tried a therapy center where I was staying in SC. At first the PT seemed to be afraid of my condition and basically only giving me exercises without stretching me out or dealing with my scar tissue When I told her my therapists at home were more progressive she then treated me with such force I could not go back to them as I was in so much pain. Everyone and I mean everyone was absolutely wonderful. Everyone there was friendly, kind and always looking to help others. I couldn't be happier with the staff here at Spagnoli Physical Therapy! No only with the staff but the owner himself works along with his staff. I had a hip replacement in November and my surgeon didn't recommend further PT other then my 3 weeks. I went here to be evaluated because I was so uneven I was wearing a lift in my shoe because my back was killing me from all the limping. After 8 times going here 2x a week, I am happy to say that I am no longer wearing my lift and I feel great! The staff was able to detect that it was my muscles that needed to be strengthened and elongated to make up the difference in my leg unevenness. Me and my family have been patients at Spagnoli over the years due to back and knee injuries, sports injuries and worker comp injuries. I know when we walk in the door that we are in good hands. They always explain to me what is wrong, how the muscles should work and what I have to do to correct it and to get the proper form. They modify things for me when I cannot do something and we build up from there. One time I couldn't grasp how do do an exercise and Patrick took the time and tried 3 different ways in order to get me to understand how to do it. I highly recommend Spagnoli. I was a patient when I was a teenager for my ACL. When I hurt my back a few months ago I knew this was the best place and worth the 30 minute drive. My sister and I both recently had a tibial tubercle transfer and MPFL reconstruction on our knees. As part of our recovery, hands on therapy is a must, and the therapists at Spagnoli PT provide that one-on-one care. Each session, my therapist Nicole spent 25 minutes providing manual therapy and was knowledgeable, skilled and personable. I've been to 5 different physical therapy practices, and none of them compare to Spagnoli. I drive 30 minutes each way because of how good the care is. The one-on-one time that the therapists dedicate truly makes a difference to your recovery. Very few PTs on Long Island give you that devoted time. Jess, Nicole, and Susan are the BEST!
