The main differences are passion for what they do and compassion for their patients. With every joint replacement recovery, the P/T care I received ensured that I was always far ahead of the anticipated recovery schedule. During that time, I was holding off on a shoulder replacement, but doing P/T "pre-hab". However, when I was finally ready for the operation, the surgeon was happy to say that he could do a rotator cuff surgery instead because I had regained so much range of motion due to the great job my physical therapist had done.
