I've not been impressed. the builder I used made me use them. most of my products have broken and had to be replaced under warranty. service department rarely answers the phone. they have had light fixtures sent to my home by mistake and then threatened me if I didn't return them asap. I didn't want a bunch of random lights in the first place and it's not my responsibility to go out of my way to fix your mistakes . I left the lights on the front porch to be picked up. they did warranty work again last month and have called a couple times threatening to sue me for non payment but won't answer the phone or send an invoice just leave a message and evidently out of all of the employees at the company the only one that can process the payment is the one who won't answer when I call. I will not do business with them again. read more

Never in my life did I think I'd be passionately reviewing a lighting store. So many things become exciting when you buy a house. A new lawn mower! Hardwood floor staining! Landscaping! HVAC! SOMEBODY STOP ME! Well, lighting fixtures are right up there with things that are exciting as hell when you're designing a home. Metro Lighting came through for us, specifically Joni. I was after two things: a dining room light fixture, and a kitchen light fixture. After browsing the showroom, I found a light for the dining room that I absolutely loved, and thought would go perfect in our space. You can imagine how crushed I was when I learned it was on backorder for a long time. Joni told me she'd check with the purchasing team to see if I could have the display, and to call back the next day. I did call the next day with all of the hope in the world, but unfortunately she was given a big fat "no". I asked about another lighting fixture for the kitchen, and started to make peace with the fact that I couldn't have that amazing light for the dining room. (See the photo! It really is that good.) I got a call back a few hours later with the status of the second light fixture, as well as the BEST NEWS EVER that I was able to buy that display light! I cannot explain how much I appreciated her hard work and convincing, and can't wait to hang both lights in our newly purchased home. This truly was customer service at its best. We will absolutely be back whenever we need something else, and I look forward to another great experience. read more

My wife and I went to the store as we had a desire to upgrade our lighting through our house and were prepared to spend however much it cost. While in the store the young lady was helpful but they needed to get estimates and timeframes on building out some tracks. I gave my contact information and no callback. I called twice and left messages for the person to call me back and no callback. Weeks later, I went somewhere else and the project is complete. Still no phone call. I will add that it's one thing if they were price competitive, but there not. High prices and poor service. read more

I was just at Metro lighting in the valley. My husband and I were wearing masks as well as every other patron in the store. Neither of the gentleman working in the store were wearing masks or observing social distancing, and one of them was coughing. I will not be returning to the store until the employees are wearing masks to protect the clientele. This is irresponsible behavior on the part of this business. read more

After 2 yrs of looking here, other local shops and online - we finally found the 3 things we had been looking for. *It pays to keep going back and checking out their new inventory. Greg Dolnick greeted us immediately and was such a huge help in our search, digging into their catalogue's and website offering up tons of options and leading us to exactly what we were looking for. They even price matched when we found a cheaper price after purchase. Would highly recommend them for their huge variety of options and their friendly/helpful staff. read more

Very impressive selection on fixtures, lamps and chandeliers. I went to this store looking for some ultra-modern lighting and wasn't disappointed by what I found! (a rarity when looking for modern decor in the St. Louis area!) I was helped by a lovely woman named Gale who took the time to help us with our selections. We purchased a modern hanging fixture that was a floor model and she kindly had an employee take it down for us on the spot instead of making us come back for it the next day. We had a great experience and will be back! Also, they have a lot of fabulous accessories, occasional tables and small furniture pieces - I found an assortment of things to buy and was very excited about our purchases! read more

Metro Lighting has a huge selection of really cool light fixtures; unfortunately, the experience leaves a lot to be desired. I visited twice on a Saturday afternoon--once to browse and then back to purchase after comparing the competition. There were only two sales people working (on a busy Saturday!). On our second visit, there were 5 or so customers waiting, standing around the counter. I got frustrated and left after waiting 30 minutes and being passed up three times. They would greatly benefit from a deli counter numbering system. I ordered the same light fixture online and saved $300 plus tax!! read more

Greg Dolnick, at the Chesterfield location handled the sale of our ceiling fan and subsequent problem quickly and professionally. The fan is now installed and perfect. Joni was very knowledgeable and helpful, offering excellent suggestions. She helped us avoid mistakes, and we wound up with the perfect light fixture that was reasonably priced. She also provided the name of someone to do the installation and he arrived on time and did a great job. The selection and service in this store is excellent. read more
