DECK THE HALLS! On a…read morescale of 1-10, I'm about a 287 when it comes to being festive. I love decorations and I *really* love holiday lights. When we moved into our current home, I realized quickly that there was no way we were getting lights on our roof line. It's extremely high with a pretty steep drop, and it just seemed a little beyond what we're capable of doing ourselves. STL Holiday Lighting has saved the season for the past two years! The team here is extremely professional and quick. This year we got on the early install list, so they actually came out in early October (whoops!) but we didn't turn them on until this week. The lights always look amazing. We have a pretty big archway that leads to the front porch, so we purchased pre-lit garland that we hold onto and they put up for us each year. They take the rest of the lights with them each season. Our pre-lit garland had some lights out this year, and they're coming to repair it this week with no questions asked. Christmas light companies charge a LOT of money, unfortunately, but for us it has always been worth it. We'll be rolling with early install again next year!

When Timberline came out to look at it, they didn't call ahead of time. My wife wasn't home and this was her project . Several weeks later we were on vacation and we get a text from a neighbor tells us that there were some workers in our backyard. Oh - they came a week sooner than they told us they would. What the heck?! We come back and the wall looks not very good. This was not really their fault. Apparently the material in that part of the wall was different from the other part of the wall. If we were there while they were working we could have problem solved with them - maybe get some new material. But they did it when we weren't there, so that wasn't an option. And to top it off, they dumped some of the old wall over our fence, And dumped some gravel in our front yard. They did send someone out after we complained and gave us a small credit. Small solace. We have crappy looking wall. Very unprofessional company.

Callier Thompson had renovated one of our 2nd floor bathrooms almost a decade earlier. I was more than surprised to hear they would send a foreman out to investigate the source of the leak. The original project consisted of a complete remodel of a full bathroom in our 1920's home, of which we enjoy today as much as when the remodel was done 13 years ago. The second project comprised of a two-story addition with completely remodeled and expanded kitchen and half bath on the first floor, and a new primary suite luxury bath, walk-in closet, laundry closet, and covered porch on the second floor. The job required coordination with the city architectural review board, an architect, engineer, and sub-contractors, all handled by Callier & Thompson in a professional and timely manner. We had a contract for a residential solar array, batteries, and an EV car charger with a company…read morewhich used Brda Electric as a sub contractor. The company we contracted with? I have some colorful words for them. The people at Brda Solar who actually did the work? I could write a book about how pleased we are with their work, their professionalism, their abilities to take a poor situation and make it work, their dedication to getting the job done and done right. I only wish we would have known about them and contracted directly with them. From Lauren in the office to Joe, Francisco, Jeremiah, and a couple of other guys who (I am sorry that names escape me) who were all a part of this project at our home, we thank you so much for not only doing the work, but passively calming me down when I would see your truck pull up in our driveway. Joe and Francisco especially went above and beyond with amazingly great attitudes on Christmas Eve. That they even had to work that day pissed me off, but they and their people in the office were dedicated to get this project in service before the end of the year. I would never have expected anyone to work on Christmas Eve. I am grateful that they did. I have already told many people about our unacceptable experience with our contractor, and have dropped the BRDA name more as the people to take care of their solar projects as well as any other electrical needs they may have. My husband and I both agree that we will be calling Brda for any of our electrical needs in the future simply because of the overall expertise their Solar group brought to this project. Thank you, Thank you. Thank you. (Told you I could write a book...)
