I am officially in love with Cotton Paperie. From the "Our Story" on their website, you can learn…read morethat Chavvon and Larissa are a husband and wife team who started in photography and have expanded their business into stationary. (I actually didn't know that until now, and I just found a picture of Chavvon after being in communication with him for weeks--the power of the interwebs!) To me, one of the best things about Chavvon were his timely responses to all my email questions. I am in San Antonio, and Chavvon is in Dallas. We never met. I followed the ordering instructions on the Cotton Paperie website, and what do you know, following instructions pays off! Cotton Paperie seriously makes ordering wedding stationary a breeze. I am not sure what kind of bride you would classify me as--I am very picky, I know what I like, I want things to be beautiful, and I want a good deal (maybe that's every bride?). When it came to my invitations, trust me, I did the leg work. I researched stationers online, on Etsy, and even compared to the prices of my wedding coordinator's regular paper vendor in San Antonio, Cotton Paperie's prices were competitive. I chose Cotton Paperie as my letterpress vendor based not only on their pricing but also on their ability to meet my deadline, the fact that even in the beginning bid stages Chavvon was in constant communication with me, and most importantly because of the beautiful work displayed on their website. Bonus: Chavvon prioritized my invitations because of my pressing mail by date without a rush charge, and I was able to take advantage of a promotion they were running which upgraded my paper to a thicker stock. Look no further for your letterpress needs because you will find exquisite work, the best price, and great service with Cotton Paperie.

I did not receive anything until April 19th, over 2 months later, after multiple attempts to follow up and just got ignored. Not only was the job completed significantly later than what I was told it would be, I received an incomplete delivery (I ordered 250 cards and received only 50). I immediately sent an email to to the team regarding this and was told it would be resolved immediately and that a new shipment would be fulfilled within a couple days. A couple days turned into a week, a week turned into a couple weeks, and after sending 5 emails to simply check-in on what is going on, I have learned that like many who have worked with Cotton Paperie, they just ghost you and leave you hanging. I've filed a chargeback with my bank and warn anyone considering working with them to look elsewhere. It's a shame businesses who operate this unprofessionally are still operational.

I was straight up when I called in an order. I didn't even know where to begin. The extent of my knowledge were the dimensions of my postcard. Their salesmen are so attentive, polite, and easy to work with. I received a phone call and email first thing. What's even better is the turn around pace. No Joke - I authorized the copy on a Monday and picked them up on a Tuesday. The best part was visiting the press, by far. Their office is a twilight zone. The linoleum wood paneled walls, the mid-century furniture (in a non-hipster environment), their wall stacked with paper files of all their impressive clients just makes you appreciative of loyal customer service. I can imagine they've had dedicated clients for years and years, because of their old-fashioned, bad ass, mad-men way of handling business - straight-up, simple, strong product and customer relations.

Reviews that start with "in my defense,..." have to rank up there with "I really wanted to like…read morethis place..." reviews, but this one will start that way too. In my defense, the Yelp entry for My Office stated that they were open until 6pm, so when I parked in front of their door at 5:35pm, I was surprised and bummed that the door had 5:30pm stenciled on it for their closing time on weekdays. I could see the counter person closing out her till and running the credit card printout. Bummer! Luckily, she saw me standing in front of the door looking like Dustin Hoffman in the wedding scene of "The Graduate" (only in my case, all the screaming was on the inside). Without hesitation, she unlocked the door and processed my package. No snarky comments, no "the look", just a smile and getting me in and out the door in less than 10 minutes. This could have ended another way, but because of the person whose shift had ended minutes before, she has earned a return customer who invites you to also experience My Office for your shipping needs. Just remember: they close at 5:30 pm on weekdays, not 6pm. :)
