This is one of the worst car washes I've ever had the misfortune of using. It's old, run down, and useless. The automatic wash does not clean and is a waste of money. It's the first time I've encountered vacuums that are not free! On top of everything there are no trash cans!!! Even gas stations still have trash cans. It's absolutely ridiculous. Have been going here for YEARS with no problems, but every business owner should realize that it only takes one bad experience to lose a customer. I did the same 10 dollar wash on my Lincoln and the top trunk and hood were still dirty. I brought it to their attention (politely) not being a Karen. The manager on duty offered no solution and blamed the clear oat. I went to the self serve and finished washing and drying my car. A customer will tell 1 person about a good experience at a business but will tell 10 about a bad experience. I'll be the latter​ read more

This 1995 feeling carwash is not where its at. Owner (or perceived owner) yells at customers, thinks he's right about everything and doesn't care what you have to say. If you are wanting to use these services you may have to pull your car through 3 times to get it efficiently washed. Word to the wise to this owner, if you are going to be an emotional wreck, don't be in customer service, you also need to update your equipment and bring more value to your customers. You should be focusing to serve the community with respect, not anger. The only positive thing I have to say is, one of the gentlemen working there consistently (don't know his name) has been always friendly and nice, so thank you sir for that. Always dirty stalls and the staff is always rude to you. Most of the settings on the machines are not right and you can't read the count down timer because of film on the machine. Attendants won't come to the door because they are afraid they might have to deal with their incompetence. The owner just needs to realize money isn't everything and start treating his business customers better to keep them coming back happy. It's all about the cash here. On vacation with our new SUV. The service manager at Nissan recommended Metro Car wash, and said they do a great job. Well our Armada was in need of a bath, and boy did they do a good job! Three young guys greet you and give your car a really good prewash blast to dislodge bugs and grit, then you travel through the tunnel and receive powerful jets of soap, wax, wheel cleaner and tire shine. Very pleased with the wash and the staff. Very good to see teenage guys working so diligently and enjoying their work. I will return when along this way. read more

Just went through the car wash and was yelled at by a manager for throwing garbage away. The manager was so rude he kicked me out of the line and then told me I couldn't get my car washed. Owner is a complete a**hole! Screams at customers all the time - should not be in customer service. Prices are extremely high for an average wash, half the time the sprayers are clogged. Self cleaning stations are dirty, card readers don't work. They also say "insert coins or tokens" - they don't take tokens. I put five in - nothing - and went to let the wash attendent know - didn't refund my tokens just said "it didn't work because they don't take tokens"... didn't help at all actually. This place has to be flying under the radar ... tax law, employment law, maybe both! The same 12-year-old boys appear to be working every time I've gone. This car wash is good quality. It's long enough to be worth you money and they guys at the front entrance pay good attention to your car. Friendly crew and they deserve some good tips! I'm glad The Dalles has a good quality car wash. I do wish it wasn't wayyyyy on the end of town, but it's still the worth the extra couple miles. Worst customer service I have ever had. The attendant asked me which wash I wanted. I asked him the options. He proceeded to chew me out for having been in line and not having made a choice yet as it was holding up other customers. After 30 or so seconds chastising me I tried to ask him what were the options again. Again, he proceeded to tell me that I was holding up the line for other customers. Finally, I just picked one. Hi pointed out that I didn't appreciate him using the Lords name in Vain. He went into another rant about free speech. I certainly would have left if I could but there were 5 cars behind me. Good car wash. I like the option of using plastic for the do-it-yourself bays. I wish they had a brushless option for the automatic drive-through area. Was not happy with this place. I got the ten dollar wash and gave him a twenty. He took it and said that my sky light was open so we messed around getting it closed so we thought. Guess with that distraction we forgot about the ten dollars change. So my car is moving thru and I have to roll the window up. Half way through water is dumping on me. It wasn't closed. I was lucky to have a blanket in the car. My car didn't really get that clean. Was so angry I was half way home before I realized I didn't get my change. I went here today and tried to purchase the basic car wash and was told I would need to pay more because my car had mud on it, then when I finally agreed to pay more the 19 year old kid told me I should feel lucky that he is even going to allow me to go through the automated car wash and that he did not make me go out and wash it myself first before bringing it into the automated one.....?!?!? then after getting my change he came back to my window and muttered something, so I asked what he said and he told me, I should be at home washing my my car myself and that it is because of people like me coming there which is why he can't be sitting at home collecting an unemployment check right now like everyone else, I told him he was quite the smartass, so then he proceeded to ask me if I wanted to get out of my truck he would "handle me" right now or I could come back at 4PM when he gets of work and meet him in the parking lot and he would "Show me what's up" I responded that I am half tempted to do so with the way he is talking and acting, he then asked me how old I was and then responded that he is 19 years old and that someone my age better not take him up on his offer because they might not like how they get "handled by him". Always problems & no one to call in an emergency ex: will not work after payment accepted, or a little note that says "no credit cards & correct change only" on a post-it note so small you wait in line & can only read it when you are ready to insert money for a wash. This car wash is always closed when you need it the most. Anytime the temperature is near 32 degrees or below, they close up. I lived in the Midwest for 9 years and car washes were always open, regardless of how low the temperature got. read more
