    Merrimack Valley Wi-Fi Pros

My name is actually Stu R., not Lindsay R., and I live in Southborough, MA, not Manhattan…read more I have a 6,000 square foot house in Southborough, MA that originally was built as a farm house in 1830. Needless to say, my wi-fi was problematic, and Best Buy tried and tried to fix things to no avail. I was told to seek an I.T. company, I did my search, and Rod sold me over the phone on MVWFP. Jawaan and Jacob came to the house and hard wired most of my TV's using the coaxial cable that already existed. They also established various ports throughout the house so that the wireless wi-fi would work well everywhere. There was a slight problem that was fixed right away with a second (free) visit to the house. Several months after installation, the system is running perfectly. Rod and Jawaan are as good as it gets! Make the call to MVWFP, and your stress will disappear, at least with regard to wi-fi in your big old house!

All installed by me originally over the years, including hardwired gigabit Ethernet plus WiFi. Dead zones everywhere in the house and hardwired connections that weren't working. Rod responded quickly to my booking appointment on his website, and came in on the agreed date. As I knew, it was a mess. Took two days to straighten it all out including producing "heat maps" to show signal strength throughout every room in the house. it is actually quite difficult to find anyone who specializes in networking and WiFi. Most are electricians who do this as a side business and really don't have proper network training. As I determined, Rod has 20 years of corporate networking experience and clearly knows what he is doing. And frankly, my own lengthy experience in the computer industry allowed me to make that judgment pretty confidently after two days of many technical discussions. He knows what he's doing. I'm happy to make a referral to MVWFP to anyone who needs to sort out their WiFi and network challenges, residential or commercial. Very pleased. As is my wife who is not yelling at me any longer. About this, anyway!

In our experience, Grasshopper failed on all three. We were customers for more than five years, paying over $120 a month for two 1-800 numbers and seven extensions. This was a core part of our business communications. Yet we spent years battling persistent login problems, a frustrating app, missed calls, and call routing that did not work consistently. We kept trying to make it work. When we asked for help, we found ourselves in an exhausting cycle of support emails with little meaningful resolution. Every hour spent chasing support was an hour taken away from running our business. The breaking point came when we could no longer reliably log in to the app or stay logged in. During the resulting support exchange, we mentioned that we were considering another provider because of the ongoing problems. What happened next was extraordinary: Grasshopper abruptly closed both of our accounts without warning. We had not requested that our accounts be closed. We had remained professional throughout the exchange. We were paying customers asking for working service and meaningful help. Even after the closures, our follow-up emails went unanswered. We were left scrambling to find a new provider and replace phone numbers across our websites, business cards, and online profiles. After more than five years of payments and patience, this was how the relationship ended. Technical problems can happen. What defines a service company is how it responds when its customers need help. Our experience with Grasshopper was years of unresolved issues followed by an abrupt disruption to our business. Based on that experience, I cannot recommend Grasshopper to any business that depends on reliable phone service. We trusted them with an essential part of our operations. I would not make that mistake again.
