With all of his work he asks a lot of questions about what we want, reviews the options, and checks back to make sure it all worked the way we wanted. He has great suggestions for what will work to meet our needs. He even fixed some work done by previous electricians that had never worked quite right. Joe is really responsive and when he says he will be there he shows up on time and ready to get the job done. We live in a very old house, and electrical work can be tricky, time consuming and expensive. It is important to us to hire someone reliable, good quality and collaborative when we need electrical work done!

They also caused issues with our other subcontractors. Reluctantly, we decided to use them again for a basement remodel. After repeated no answer no call backs, we finally had a confirmed date and they did not show. 2.5 weeks our project sat waiting for them and they did not show. When we tried to reach them, again no answer, no call back. Save yourself the time and headache and find someone else.

In the unforgettable words of "Sesame Street," one of these things is not like the others. The first is from Key City Electric, which we (regrettably) called first and, because of time constraints I won't get into here (although I'm happy to do so if anyone wants to know), paid $8,400 up front. Two days later, one Key City Electric electrician, a pleasant fellow, came to the house and completed the work, which was mostly moving a range outlet, adding a new line for a microwave, and putting an exposed line behind a wall, which resulted in a new line, which was fine). But because we felt a little sticker shock, we asked around a bit and got a few more estimates after the fact. I'm hiding the names of these companies because I haven't asked their permission, but I'm more than happy to share them privately with anyone who is curious. The results were ... interesting. As you can plainly see. We've asked for a partial refund, but have been told, among other things: "The prices accommodate that because we had to push other scheduled appointments. We had to pull our master electrician's scheduled vacation time to get your project done promptly." We hope this is helpful to you as you shop around for an electrician.

We scheduled an appointment. Got the invoice after the job, and it was about 1/2 of the quote. Was super happy. Second job we had overhead lights installed in our living room, not recessed cans, but surface mounted LEDs, which are awesome btw. Decided to do the job on time and materials vs getting an actual quote. The bill was much less than expected. We got 8 overhead lights wired in with a new dimmer switch and a wireless dimmer switch for just over $1k. Tony will be called again if we need more electrical work.
