Rather than just assume it was gone I figured i would spend the $130 on a service call and see if an experienced technician could solve the problem. He was very forthright, knowledgeable and honest. I will absolutely use them again.

They were able to fit us in last minute, that should have been my first red flag as all the other reputable companies were booked for at least a month. Once the technician arrived (Carl) he asked some questions and proceeded to perform a 'tune-up'. On average 1 furnace should take 1-1.5 hours, we have two and he was done with both in 30 minutes- next red flag! He proceed to tell me I should think about replacing both furnaces- just 14 years old. Then he gave me all the things that were wrong with it to the tune of $2500. There was no explaining the 'report' he did, just you need to replace these items. I declined to have him perform the repairs. He took pictures and supposedly did a report, I asked for the pictures and the report and he said he was not able to provide that to me as I declined the repairs. At this point I am not sure I can believe the report that the company finally provided me- so I hired another HVAC company to give me a second option. I contacted the Total Comfort right away as I felt that I did not get what I signed up for. I explained my concerns and the most I got was I am sorry and Carl has been in the business for 20 years and works really fast. I would stay clear of this company if you want a thorough job done the right way. Poor service all the way around!! I guess you get what you pay for! SCAM company!I

The cost was very reasonable and didn't feel like they were overcharging for their services. This week with the cold snap in MN our furnace was having issues with keeping the house warm. Called Troy at Total Home and he had Kevin come out that afternoon. The Condensate pump went out and tubes were plugged. Kevin had it fixed in a couple of hours, the pressure switches also had gotten wet and needed to be replace. Which if we didn't have the best furnace these may have been cheaper but with the pump and switches the price that they billed us was still very reasonable. I know that when we have our A/C unit replaced that I will be calling them to provide the services. They are awesome, come out when called, the work is always good and Kevin is great!

Ticking sounds in the wall while heat is on. DRHorton ordered them to come last December. The guy came and identified the ductwork pipe causing that sounds and decided to just pull the vent register out couple of times. This covered up the issue for half a day and the ductwork went back to its original position. Ticking sounds back. DRHorton coordinated them to come again together with floor guy to open the floor and fix the issue. This time, same guy came and what he did is simply shifted the main vent a bit. Of course it let the sound go for the moment but that is not a solution! We told him that he did similar thing last time. He first refused to admit he had come fixing it before, after we provided more details he called his manager and finally admitted he had an unsuccessful fix last time. Then he said I had to go, my manager said that is just natural sound of a house. What the fuck? Your manager was not even here! When and how did he get the super power to hear a sound remotely and determine that's the natural sounds?! Yep, 10 min after he left and the sound is back again. We ran into him two houses away from ours about 1 hour after he left, and let him know that the sound was back. He did not give it a shit and refused to spend 5 min to come and listen.
