Ok cool I did but noticed that all the lighter skinned folks were going back but not me. So at 134pm I went to the desk to ask what time was my appointment she says 1pm but I was waiting for your paperwork to check you in. Lady what?? Most professional establishments have to stay on schedule so when you are checked in, thats that! If they call your name you can finish the paperwork in the room. Not this place. So I finally go to the back and if the paperwork is what you were waiting on to see me why did the nurse ask the same questions?? I get X-Rays still nobody comes to say hey we waiting or the dr is coming, so I waited another 29 minutes and walked out. All the nurses and doctors were laughing and talking in the hallway as I walked out. Then 10 minutes later I get a phone call to ask is everything ok, absolutely not i have waisted over an hour of time and hours from work to come to this dump. She says the dr was coming in, no ma'am he/she was not they were standing in the hallway at the desk laughing and talking. He could've called my name and said something but they didn't. The chick that called me ask do I want to reschedule absolutely the F not!! Why would I waste my precious time to sit in your office to figure out which time am i checked in if she supposedly done it the first!! GO TO THIS PLACE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! NEVER AGAIN - NEVER AGAIN - NEVER AGAIN I would advise anyone thats dissatisfied please go up the road to Restore Foot & Ankle Specialists! Checked in means checked in

I checked in and as I was starting to fill out paperwork, I was called back. I was barely able to finish my paperwork when a tech collected me for x-rays. I waited less than 5 min to see Dr McNutt which I'm sure that was only due to him waiting to review my x-rays. He politely introduced himself and quickly examined my arms' mobility. Immediately he determined the source of my injury, gave me a shot of some sort to relax the inflamation. He prescribed physical therapy and sent me on my way. It was an amazingly fast visit and a huge relief that he diagnosed my issue as I was suffering for months just hoping it was basic soreness that would go away.

I had a very disappointing experience with the billing and review process at Baylor Scott & White…read morePrimary Care - McKinney. I scheduled what was supposed to be a preventive wellness visit as a self-pay patient. During the appointment, I was not informed that discussing routine or ongoing health topics would convert the visit into a separately billable "dual visit" with additional charges. There was no advance notice, no cost disclosure, and no opportunity to decline those added services. What makes this more frustrating is that the so-called "ongoing condition discussion" they later cited was limited to the doctor briefly asking -- as I was getting up to leave -- whether I needed any prescription refills. That was the extent of it. There was no separate evaluation, no new complaint, and no dedicated problem-focused exam. After receiving the bill, I filed a formal complaint. The organization stated they conducted not one but two "comprehensive reviews," yet at no point did anyone contact me to ask what actually occurred during the visit. Their investigation relied entirely on internal documentation and staff input, without speaking to the patient involved. They acknowledged this but said patient interviews are not standard for billing reviews -- which is concerning when the dispute centers on what was actually communicated to the patient. Both reviews concluded the charges were appropriate and declared the matter closed, without addressing the core issue of disclosure and consent for additional self-pay charges. My takeaway is that this may not be limited to self-pay patients -- it was only caught in my case because, as a self-pay patient, I carefully reviewed the itemized bill. Many patients with insurance may never see or question how a visit was coded or billed. Greater upfront transparency about when a preventive visit becomes separately billable would prevent situations like this. I'm sharing this so other patients can go in better informed than I was.

We'll after about a year he moved away, and so my search for another GP was on again. It worked out well though as I ended up moving myself. I did a lot of research and decided to give Dr Washburn a try. Yes he is quiet, and doesn't trade jokes with you, but I would rather have a doctor that concentrates on me and my medical needs and not ask me how my cousin Eddie is doing or ask me if I saw the football game last night. Dr Washburn listens to you, let's you do the talking, and doesn't interrupt you . It's a busy office, but I've never felt rushed there, and he's not there to judge you. He listens and suggests what would work best for your situation medically and personally. And he has always fit me in when he can, sometimes same day, if I have an unexpected situation come up. He cares about you as a person and not a number or a bother. And the front desk and office staff are great.
