Norfolk requires the buyers to take out a construction loan which later converts to a mortgage, sounds simple enough, wrong! You have to read the fine print, Norfolk contracts allow them to delay your build by up to 2 years, hide the construction timeline and take draws out of your loan without any disclosure or accountability. There were many weeks where our home sat untouched, Norfolk sales person Lisa was condescending, none responsive and lacked transparency, when I requested the project schedule, budget and milestones, I was ignored for months then sent a picture of a white board with some scribbles. They are arrogant and use your money to fund their operation. Once they begin taking draws from your loan you will incur thousands of dollars in interest monthly, and they will delay, and divert resources from your build, then lie to you. This way they "preferred" lender makes money off you, and they get to fund their operation at your expense and take as long as they want. The materials are cheap, and everything is done as cheaply as possible. Our flors which should have been a 1 day job took 6 weeks to complete with no explanation. Back patio, lighting in bathroom, under cabinet lighting, soft shut toilet seats all extra. Toll Brothers is currently offer a FREE finished basement at their Barton Ridge Community, Norfolk will charge you 50K+ for a much lower quality finished basement. They took a 130K fee and a 60K contingency out of our loan with no explanation, this company is a scam, and I will never even consider doing business with them again. The quality of craftsmanship is poor, our stonework was installed incorrectly, with broken pieces placed vertically and crooked, it looks terrible. When I brought it up Norfolk attempted to blow me off, then sent me lengthy materials thinking I wouldn't read them, then staged a performance of a meeting with their leadership, all in all they waisted hours of my time and the stone was never fixed, in spite of it being not installed according to instillation guide. Same yourself the trouble, go with Toll Brothers, or any other national brand that's reputable. This company is struggling, and will use you, you won't get the quality you are looking for and it ill cost.

The worst experience. Avoid at all "costs" . Every step of the way we were told no. Imagine asking…read morethe builder of a high end home for a schedule and they screen shot a white board with marker scribbled on it. Quality control in concrete and stone work is non existent. You would think they would advocate for their customers but all they care about is your money. Why wouldn't you go to your subs and tell them " this work is poor quality I can't do this to my customers". The work they do is commercial grade not high end residential. Compare the quality of Toll brothers and the difference is plain as day at the same price point. Nobody reached out to us on a human level to talk about any concerns and it was a fight every step of the way. Don't tell me it's normal for a month to go by with no work being done. You could just write us off as difficult but based on our interactions we are not alone in our sentiment. This should've been a great experience and instead it was just depressing. At this price point you would expect a much higher level of project Managment and customer service. If I owned this company I would be appalled.

The water ruined carpeting, and leaked down into the first floor dining room ceiling and beyond. Floors had to be dried, furniture moved, carpet and ceiling replaced, and ceiling and walls repainted. The entire Paul Davis team was wonderful. From remediation, reconstruction, and back to normal, they all did great work! I was very impressed and pleased. I have expensive dining room furniture that I was particularly concerned about. It, as well as bedroom furniture, had to be carefully moved to different rooms. I can be quite particular, but each guy was careful and attentive to my concerns and listened well to my apprehension regarding packing fragile china, moving the heavy dining furniture, being careful not to scratch it, rehanging a heavy mirror, etc. Thanks to Mike, Ryan, Carter, and Kyle. I was also worried about seams showing when the new ceiling drywall was installed, but Justin did an expert job installing and painting it and the walls. It looks great! George, who removed the old carpet and laid the new, also did beautiful work. In addition, they were pleasant, respectful and nice people to deal with. I highly recommend them! Thanks to a great team: Jeff S. (remediation), Mike LaMore (project supervisor & reconstruction estimator), Justin (drywall and painting), George (carpet), Carter, Ryan and Kyle. Thanks! - Liza

The pipe thawed and sent water gushing into our basement two days after installing the furnace. We were SO discouraged! Paul Davis Restoration was fast, professional, and encouraging. All of their team was outstanding and they worked really well with our home insurance. Mike Meyers was particularly great! They're on my to-call list the next time something goes poorly at my home.

Forward Design has put so much thought into their comprehensive approach from the initial meeting, throughout construction, and down to the final details. We not only love the results, but we were regularly impressed with how they handled every step and detail of the process. Organizationally, it is clear that there has been a high degree of intentionality and investment in the cultivation of their work place culture. This translates to clarity, open communication, and collaboration with the client. Each member of their team we worked with were talented, artistic, responsive, and skilled. Rob, our project manager, needs a special shout out for his patience and willingness to indulge all of my questions. The whole team made our experience positive and enjoyable. We look forward to the next project we can tackle with Forward Design.
