The dal tadka was finger licking delicious! the crisp beet & cucumber salad... the three chutneys, samosa chaat, tandoori platter, lamb vindaloo, butter chicken, mushroom curry... Drool...it was all SO good! We were able to adjust the heat/spice level per dish which makes it very taste friendly for everyone from the mild to the super Indian hot. I seldom take home leftovers because I can make it myself but I have a little to-go bag for tomorrow and I cant wait to come back!

After last night's dinner, DH and I plan to add this spot to our rotation of ethnic restaurants in the Clayton Road area. (We also like Tasty Szchewan, Koon Thai Kitchen, and Hunan.) As we entered, the hostess/server was very busy taking the order for a large party. We were told to sit wherever we wanted. Our first thought was, "Oh no, it will take forever to get our food." The wait might have been a bit longer, but it was worth it! DH was very pleased with his lamb vindaloo and basamati rice. Clean plate, no leftovers. I ordered the lamb seekh kabab (I prefer the minced lamb). However, they were out so I switched to the mixed grill: a large sizzling plate of chicken tandoori leg, chicken tikka, lamb boti (bite size cube), and tandoori shrimp. It came with a choice of plain or garlic naan. Opted for the garlic naan which I shared with DH. Some of the best naan I've ever had! My earlier review complained about the naan which we did not finish that night. No complaints this time! If you are a big eater or like leftovers, consider the mixed grill. Highest priced entree on the menu, but with the very generous portion, it is actually a good deal. My only complaint was that the sizzling plate was so hot that many of the onions and other finely sliced vegetables were burned. I remember from an earlier visit that we each had a Taj Mahal beer. IMO beer goes well with a spicy meal. Despite what Yelp says, they no longer serve beer and wine. With such good food, it is not a deal breaker for us. DH was fine with water, and I enjoyed a large mug of green tea. Meat here is halal so that may explain why they no longer serve alcohol. (In my experience more upscale restaurants with halal meat often have bars.) Momo N Curry offers a pleasant casual dining experience. The tables are covered in beautiful woven fabric and sensibly topped with glass. The cloth napkins are a nice touch, especially for dinner. So many places now only have paper. Unless you are in line for the Dunkin drive-thru, you might not know about Momo N Curry. This family-run restaurant deserves more community support. They seem to have a steady takeout business. Yet eating inside and away from daily distractions can be good for the soul. Friendly people. Delicious food. Reasonable prices. We'll be back soon!

Why dip a Naan in Masala when you can dip a Momo in it? Whatever combination of vegetables were in these delectable dumplings were divine. I feel like I tasted like a combo of potatoes with carrots and lots of fun herbs. Maybe Ginger? But then just dip if in your favorite saucey entree of choice and it just completes the meal. It definitely makes me want to eat more Nepalese food. I highly recommend this to anyone remotely curious about trying the Momos.

All of my out of town family members also love the food and are always are excited to go to here. Don't be put off by reviews where people didn't get the service they felt they were entitled to and then cast cleanliness innuendo; try the food and judge for yourself. I've eated here regularly since 2013 and have always been treated nicely.

I finished my first plate of food before the naan ever came, and it wasn't very good naan anyway, so no big loss there. The food was all incredibly too salty for my taste, and very average quality. As I was paying and leaving there was a couple that came in and they wanted to sit at the same table where I had initially wanted to sit, and the table was still dirty. Overall this experience was no better than the former Saroor, not bad but not good either.

We've visited Methi multiple times now, and it has quickly become one of our favorite Indian restaurants. Every visit is consistently excellent and I love telling friends about this spot! One of the things that keeps us coming back is definitely the owner, who is always incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely happy to see his guests. That kind of hospitality makes the experience feel special every time. The food is top-notch and easily among some of the best Indian cuisine we've come across. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing, making the prices feel like an even better value. The garlic naan is an absolute must-order...fresh, flavorful, and packed with herbs and great for dipping. The Indian salad is unique, refreshing, and a great complement to the richer dishes. The tikka masala hits the spot every single time and never disappoints. And if you're a fan of mango lassi, theirs is just perfect...thick, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Like I fear if they offered free refills, I would've drank them dry lol. The restaurant itself is also very charming. It's on the smaller side, but that's part of what makes it feel so inviting and cozy. Amazing quality and delicious! I've become a regular here and I have yet to be dissatisfied with the food! My go-to is the lamb tikka masala as well as the pani puri. You are a customer-facing business. Running out of menu items happens, and mistakes happen. What isn't acceptable is treating customers with open hostility. Every interaction felt tense, demanding, and unnecessarily confrontational. The person working the window spoke to us in a condescending manner and gave us an angry, annoyed look throughout what should have been a simple transaction. We left feeling like we were a burden just for placing an order. Good food can make up for a lot, but it doesn't make up for an experience that leaves customers feeling unwelcome. We won't be returning--and will matching their energy by encouraging those around us to plan elsewhere for food options. Do better. Be better.
