But when I lived in Rochester, New York for 4-1/2 years, I shopped at Wegmans. This grocery store really made me feel like I was shopping there. This is really a great grocery store. The shelves are well stocked, and plenty of items to choose from. I wanted fruit, so I decided to visit here. The pineapple was so sweet, and delicious. They have a bakery, seafood department, deli and etc. My husband had been here with his friends from his job, so he knew where everything was. He love their egg rolls. Whatever kind you decide, it's packed with the meat. My husband had pork egg rolls. He bought 3 since they are delicious. The meat department is unbelievable. The steak and pork chops are huge and really fresh. They have really great sales this week, so please make sure you check out all of the items on sale. I will most definitely return soon. :-)

I had requested the chicken to be cold, so it could be served the next day. Our congregation observes the Sabbath and we do not buy on Sabbath, which is why it was picked up cold. Teresa, in the deli, took the order and was Very helpful in asking questions and offering advice, with my special order. Anthony, in the deli, packaged my order and did an excellent job. The chicken held together very well in the reheating and was delicious! I really appreciate all their work and the care they put into making our luncheon very nice! Not to mention not carrying half of the items I have become accustomed to in the Midwest. IGA stands for Independent Grocers Association and is found all across the midwest in smaller towns. They are usually big advocates of local as well as their own products. This is one of the few places that still carry Hinckley water (which is a local spring water). Walmart used to carry it, but now only carry their own or nestle brand water. It's not always the cheapest grocery store, but it saves you from traveling all the way to a larger town for 1 ingredient it may be cheaper in the long run.

I saw there was an area for prepared items as well but the day I went there was nothing hot available but there were cold items like hummus and olives and such.
