But when I lived in Rochester, New York for 4-1/2 years, I shopped at Wegmans. This grocery store really made me feel like I was shopping there. This is really a great grocery store. The shelves are well stocked, and plenty of items to choose from. I wanted fruit, so I decided to visit here. The pineapple was so sweet, and delicious. They have a bakery, seafood department, deli and etc. My husband had been here with his friends from his job, so he knew where everything was. He love their egg rolls. Whatever kind you decide, it's packed with the meat. My husband had pork egg rolls. He bought 3 since they are delicious. The meat department is unbelievable. We visited the Supreme House of Cheese during a village festival & parade while the store did not offer us out of towns folk much it was evident it was a staple in the community. We took advantage of the cafe booths and cooled off with a few micro sodas before heading back out to the festival while our visit was cheap and brief, that did not change the service we received happy, pleasant genuine customer service all around. You might buy some if they priced it around 50 cents, but I won't spend a dollar or more when it is that close to expiration. Also many Aldi's are being updated, more refrigeration for produce. This location could use updating for things like their fresh berries/refrigeration. But it would probably not be a good thing for them to close down while renovating.....people would have to drive too far for another location I imagine. They also a little too often, overcharge me. The sign says one price and the register rings up a higher price. I've experienced that before at other Aldi's but this one even more so.

I saw the Hy Vee on the way to my hotel and I new I would be back later for some stuff for the fridge which I'm not going to bore you with. Hy Vee reminds me of Meijer with the great produce as you walk in and the great deli cases as you round the store and let's not forget the nice fresh seafood case. I was able find everything I was looking for and and get out quickly because unlike Walmart they have plenty of registers open with friendly people waiting to help you.
