Imagine you are so organized and you order your steel a couple weeks in advance for delivery. Metal Supermarket (MS) ask if you have the means to unload... you rent a skid steer and forks, line up your welder... you call the morning of delivery and they tell you it's on the truck for delivery. I called ahead to see if some of my metal rods can be cut at my own expense. I was told they can do it and bring them over to get a quote. when I get to the store ( west Edmonton location) a guy at front desk told me we don't do that here and send me to the door with no explanation. I called because of all the positive reviews from google but the reality was totally different. I don't think it is fair for shop make people drive all the way just to say no to their customer. my order may be small but it does show the kind of service this company offers which is poor. read more

If you are in need of metal for a project, I can't think of a better place to go. There is aisle after aisle of all kinds of metal pieces and scraps, which are mostly sold by weight. Prices seem reasonable, and the staff are very friendly. They will cut whatever you need to size, and you can roam through the warehouse to find what you need. read more

I was glad I found this place today and I will be returning next time I need some steel. They answered their phone. They helped me get what I needed hasslefree. They had good prices. They were quick and really seemed to know what they were doing, not a lot of time it took me to get what I needed. One thing I really liked is how a lot of their products were on display and you can even see back into the warehouse where they keep all the other materials which is nice if you don't exactly know what you're after you can go in and see what they got. I was also pleased that I wasn't forced to buy the whole length and that they cut it into the sizes I needed, also done very promptly. I wish all companies made getting materials this easy, for that reason I would definitely recommend them. read more
