As far as quality, I'd recommend doing a test print. I've been using other printers and equipment and everything comes out a little differently. This shop, based on my experience, prints colors richer than most. For comparison, Blurb, the online printer, produced colors a bit more like what I was seeing on screen, but my screen isn't calibrated to any specification and seems like it's on the cooler side.

Chris was super helpful and responsive over email in helping me understand print sizing, bleeds, and paper types. Since my project was small, he invited me to come check out the paper options to print on and printed them on the spot. He was very helpful in his recommendations. Even though I had to add some pages to my booklet he still kept the originally quoted price which was so nice! The price was also super reasonable (and even about half the price as some other similar places I was quoted for). Quite a few people came in to pick up bulk orders while I was there so they definitely seem to be a neighborhood staple. My zines came out perfectly and I can't recommend them enough!

This seems like a dramatic paid for review. I knew this was a big request but Vahid told me he could get it done. It's not often you find a business that goes above and beyond these days. I feel grateful to have Print Icon in our neighborhood!

I had a custom design made on etsy but then didn't know how to elevate the rest of the invite to make it a real wedding suite. After having a mini melt down, I'm so glad I came to my senses and went IN PERSON to Print Icon instead of just trying to figure things out online as we are conditioned to do these days. I walked into Print Icon and was instantly at ease as you could tell they have been in the business for years. I showed them all these ideas I had for inserts and they calmly said "sure we can do that, we can do anything" and they weren't kidding! I think for me the best part (other than the speedy return) was being able to literally sit down next to the designer and work through any and ALL small details, from wording, to paper, to colors and fonts. No emailing back and forth over the span of weeks just working with a real human and getting it done quickly! I was then prepared for it to take at least two weeks to make (because again we are conditioned by all these online wedding sites that there will always be a delay) so I was thrilled when Print Icon said "okay they'll be ready in a few days". This is a small reliable store that has been in the business for years and you can tell because they definitely have regular return customers that use them as their go to. I'm already looking forward to becoming one of those customers and returning to them for my thank you notes and whatever stationary needs I may have! THANK YOU LEON AND PRINT ICON!

I'm telling you now... its a VERY long review. So... my team and I decided that we were going to release my 2nd book before the holiday season began. That meant that the book would be written, edited and submitted to Amazon KDP (and other book selling platforms) all before November so that we could have about 150 copies printed for our live book launch on November 20th. I was planning to do ALL OF THIS, (and party-planning a fancy schmancy book event) simultaneous to running my small NYC based consultancy where we focus on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. Oh...small stuff. It's not like we're busy with tons of clients in 2021 trying to get DEI&B right. We've not exactly been just "sittin' around." Well, what do you know. We were NOT ready to go print on before Nov 1st. Oh nooooo. Just to see where the boundaries of our stress level threshold really lay, we LITERALLY called Bestype FIVE DAYS before the book signing event. #Five (5). Read that again. We were biting nails and sweating cartoon sized sweat bullets, but SOMEHOW all 150 of our BEAUTIUFL BOOKS were printed and packaged gorgeously and ready to pick up two days ahead of our book signing event. YAY!!! Right? Oh no... keep reading. And then the unthinkable. On the evening that I picked up the books we realized that we'd SENT THE WRONG MANUSCRIPT to be printed. It was filled with errors and it was a book THAT COULD NOT BE SOLD. Panicked, (and CRAZED) I called Bestype ON THE MORNING BEFORE MY EVENT. Not only did they reprint my books (right manuscript, less quantity, but more than enough) ...they did so ON TIME, had the books packaged and couriered to me and they communicated with me the entire day ...every step of the way. I have never, EVER, EVER seen service like this. And whilst I pray that I never need this kind of manic, "you've got to be OUT of your mind" help again... consider myself BLESSED that I found Bestype. Trust me, I plan to write until I die. I will be coming back to Bestype again, and again and again. Specifically, my TREMENDOUS thanks to John, Tony and Emily. There is a graphic design guy there too (I didn't get this name but I think he is a wizard of some sort). They are a BEYOND professional and experienced and I we were blown away. Tony was a STAR on the reprint... AND keeping me calm (kinda). Thank you John, Tony, Emily and the Wizard Graphic Design guy and your WHOLE TEAM. I'll never forget you how you made my dreams come true. That's dramatic I know, but surely you know who I am now. :-) Warmest, Gigi

We needed propaganda printed on short notice, fitting in our limited budget, and time table. The quality had to be top notch, since the material will be distributed to the likes of the World Bank and Rockefellers. Like Eminem says "you only get one shot." I had to put together the needed material while the charity president was coordinating meetings and whatnot. There was no time to research printers. This had to be done on the Fly while she was airborne heading to New York. My task. Fortunately, I'm a very good internet troll, so I can Breeze through 7 pages of Google placement within a half an hour looking for reviews, rates, the best Communications means. One thing I found annoying was I had to personally call a lot of New York printing businesses in order to get a quote, this was not conducive to my timetable. Another downfall was a printing limit, you had to have print a certain amount in order to get what you needed done. Again, this will not work for what we needed. I'm on a Saturday night, looking for something to be ordered and printed by Tuesday. This means a two day turnaround, communication on a Saturday night or at least the ability to assess what my rates are going to be is highly imperative! I finally settled on New York Printing Solutions as it had the price that I was looking for, positive reviews, and more or less online printing options. The project needed to be completed by Tuesday. I turned the information over to the charity president as soon as she landed in New York, and we moved forward. This was an excellent decision as the product was exactly what we were looking for! The quality of print made the artwork looked like Smithsonian status. Thank you to New York Printing Solutions for saving the day, which helps us save 345 million indigenous peoples worldwide.
