What an INCREDIBLE Experience me and my wife had at this Restaurant. You can truly say that the owner/Chef genuinely cares for the food and Customer experience and feedback. We did their 5 course Summer Special 2025 Menu. To Start off we had their Nimbu Paani as our drinks and 1st Course we had watermelon Salad it was very nice and fresh. For 2nd course we had Uttapam with their signature chutney it was perfectly balanced and great flavours. For 3rd course we had Pav Bhaji it was amazing and for 4th course I had Paneer curry and my wife had Tamarind rice it was amazing truly mouth watering and finally for the 5th course I had lemonana Sorbet and my wife had strawberry Semifreddo. Overall the food tasted incredible you could see the oil used to look is amazing. Finally we had the owner/ chef come out and talk to us regarding the restaurant and its history and her passion towards food. It was just an amazing and a memorable experience we had. The ambiance is great, wall art is cool and the interior decoration is very nice. The service was very nice and professional we had Khalil F as our server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and explained everything well and made sure we were ok on a Timely manner. The other staff were very kind and courteous as well. The toilets are well maintained as well. Overall I HIGHLY Recommend this place when you're in Jacksonville. It's a must try place !!!

Mesa is a must go to if you're a foodie in Jax! The flavors were all amazing. A nice fusion twist on authentic South Indian (Kerala) flavors! Our favorites were by far the naanchos and the salmon mole but all of the things we get were amazing. The restaurant is owned by a mom and her son, they both were so great and greeting all of the tables! The owner stopped by our table multiple times and checked in to see how we were doing and did the same with the rest of the tables too. The service was overall great as well. The restaurant has a very cozy but elegant vibe. Today was the last day of their fall menu but I'm excited to go back for the winter menu soon!

I have been dreaming about returning to Mesa! Went here for a girl's night and we all shared a few different things. The salmon, fries, wings, pav bhaji ( potato, pea, tomato, buttery pav), watermelon salad, and shrimp and grits. The watermelon salad was a delightful seasonal surprise! We couldn't get enough! The pav Bhaji was so unique and delicious. Buttery bread filled with potatoes, peas, and tomatoes. The wings were amazing, such great unique flavor and crunch! Everyone loved the salmon it was not my favorite but I would recommend it if you like salmon. The star was the shrimp and grits. It's made with Basmati grits and they were so creamy. Just a butiful texture! I can't wait to go back. We had reservations at 8 and we're seated right away. I would recommend making earlier reservations because they were out of curry which was a big bummer.

This is a must stop for anyone who likes Indian food. The menu isn't extensive but that's a big part of the charm. They know what they are good at and that's what's available. Our waitress was spectacular. She was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. Great recommendations. The vib is lowkey upscale without feeling pompous. The naanchos were good but were entirely outshined by the pav bhaji which may be the best dish I've ever had. It's a must try. The grits were so incredibly unique with a delicious sauce and perfectly cooked shrimp. The curry was great and the portion sizes were nicely done. Not excessive sizes but we were not able to finish our meals after the apps. A little pricey but worth it.

We dined in on a reservation and were seated promptly. Our service was fast and knowledgeable. We both enjoyed the tasting menu and didn't regret it. Every dish was beautifully season and spiced to each of our preferences. The cranberry chutney was well balanced and complimented the samosas wonderfully. Albeit a pricey meal, every aspect of the experience was worth it. I have enjoyed this restaurant before and am continually impressed on repeat visits.

I'd like to give this place a 4.5. My only complaint of the night was that it was a bit warm inside. We were using the menus as fans. But it was a warm summer night so that wasn't helping. Otherwise food, service, atmosphere all amazing! I really think this place is a local gem. Highly recommend checking it out. The Salmon dish was amazing, a large portion and full of flavor. Also highly recommend a reservation. Plenty of parking and valet available!

This place feels so special every time I go. The ambiance in the outdoor area is especially dreamy. Most times, I see owner going table to table to greet the guests. The servers are always knowledgeable and the food is always tasty. My favorite meals are the curry and the lamb burger.

We sat at the bar and Paula waited on us. She was so helpful and very friendly! All of the staff were super friendly! The food was absolutely amazing! I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting the absolute deliciousness from the items we ordered. We'll definitely be back. Happy hour 5-6pm - give them a try!

So good and so everything else. It was a MARVELOUS experience to taste something new and that was the food of Chef Saji, Southern Indian, and Kerala. **The Vibe** From the outside, it is a non-descript house looking building that was easy to miss and we drove by while looking for the restaurant. Once on the inside, I noticed the music, host & servers wearing all black, and I felt a low-key, easy-going, chill, vibe that permeating. **The Service** David served us. He was well-informed, generous with recommendations & suggestions, and set the expectations high for the food (and his service). He checked in after each course to ensure that we were pleased (and to sanity check that he was right). Most importantly, David had really good energy. We could tell that he loved what he does and he loves the food at Mesa which makes Mesa so much more than the food. "Sometimes you want to go, where everybody knows your name and their always glad you came." **The Food** We started with the sweet potato samosas. They look like crab ragoon but are sweet potato stuffed and fried in coconut oil. It was very light and tasty. For me, the cranberry chutney was the star of the appetizer. David noted that his favorite dish is the Salmon Molee and it was fantastic. I never had a Salmon curry dish in my lifetime. The dish was as delicious and exquisite as it is unique. The Molee is highly related, well known, and recommended for a reason. The yellow curry w vegetables over the salmon and rice was incredible. David recommended or touted everything we are, so you can add the prefix "David recommended..." to everything that follows. His next favorite dish was the Mesa Chicken Curry with rice. If you know, you know. If you don't, go and order. The Chef's favorite dish is the KFC sandwich (Kerala Fried Chicken). We ordered one of those also. The fry was a good portion, crisp & crunchy, and well-seasoned accompanied by fries. It was good but the Molee and the Curry were so much better. I almost forgot about what I heard to be paratha (flatbread) but is actually malabar parotta (a layered, flaky, textured, light, and tasty bread) and yet another new Indian dish that we have never had. **The Drinks** Scarlet Sangria and Mango Lassi. The Lassi was good as was the Sangria. **The Dessert** Was the only "it's ok" part of the meal (for me). The Chef asked and I noted that I needed more banana in the banana bread and more banana in the ice cream for it to be "good" for my taste. And more fat/butter because it leaned towards drier and crumblier than how I like it. **The Chef/Owner** Saji George is a treasure. We must protect her at all cost. Please read her story because once you meet her, she is unforgettable. She stopped by our table twice. The first time she talked about Southern Indian cuisine, preparing "lighter" Indian food, and cooking with coconut oil. The second time around she stayed for a while asked us about our food. We heard her laughter, saw her smile, felt her infectious energy and love for cooking, and learned about her personal journey to that moment in time. She high-five me on the way out tof the door. If that is the culture of the people from Kerala, it is a place to visit for us. **The Story** Read it here: https://flamingomag.com/2023/11/06/from-kerala-to-florida-a-culinary-journey-of-sacrifice-love-and-success/ **The Final Say** Five star food. Five star service. Five star story. Five star chef. Five star love & energy. Namaste. We live in Tallahassee so as often as we can, we will be back to chat and chew with the family at Mesa. **A Reminder** Chef Saji, Please host a cooking class. When you do, we will be there.

A hearty 5 stars. My birthday dinner. Excited to get last minute reservations. Ambiance was great. Welcoming and warm. David was our waiter and he made the tried and true suggestions. We were nothing but pleased! Sweet potato samosas were in an incredible cranberry chutney. Shaped like rangoons. Mesa chicken curry was delicious. Salmon molee. Wow. Some of the best salmon ever. Kerala fried chicken sandwich was juicy and flavorful. Everything was spiced to perfection! The owner/ head chef, Saji George came out. Lovely woman - and chatted with us! Definitely will be a staple for us in Jax!

The ambiance was perfect and made for a great dining experience. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and guided us through the menu well. The appetizer wings were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor! The sweet potato samosas were an excellent balance of savory, and the cranberry chutney added just the right amount of sweetness. I ordered the pav bhaji at a medium spice level, which was milder than expected, so I would go up a level next time. Overall, this restaurant is an ideal spot for a date night or any celebration!

Best food in Jax? I think so! Go, try the Pav Bhaji, thank me later. Southern Indian food was a mystery to me but not anymore. This place is killing it. It made me feel I was eating food a mom/grandma made. Super depth of flavor! Also, staff were fast, professional, extremely polite, and friendlCannot wait to go back.

Sweet Potato Samosas with cranberry chutney. Ahhhhhmazing!

Went here with a friend. Sat at the bar. It was a great experience. The bartender was knowledgeable. Got us the drinks quickly. The lighting was just right. The atmosphere was wonderful. Lighting was subtle, but not dim. We had an appetizer of the Kerala Beef Puffs. They were the perfect amount of done. Crispy, flaky and amazing with that cilantro cream fraische . We both got the shrimp and grits. I had mine Indian hot. It was the perfect balance hot and flavor. It snuck up on you a little on the finish. All in all, a must add to your Jacksonville food tour.

We were promptly greeted and sat at a booth and brought over cold water. We ordered the tandoori sampler - it had 4 types of chicken, lamb chops and shrimp. 2 of each. We were starving and it wasn't until we had too much of it missing that. I thought to take a photo and it wouldn't have done it justice so I'm choosing to not add the photo at all. The chicken was very juicy and tender. The lamb chop was delicious and so was the shrimp. Everything was flavorful, but it wasn't over seasoned. It also was not spicy at all and typically they ask us what we would like our spice level at Indian restaurants and we would normally pick a very high spice level so for us it lacked the spice kick that we enjoy with Indian food. We also got the garlic cheese naan - me personally, I'm not a fan of Naan that's oily and the cheese made the Naan soggy in the middle and it was a bit too greasy from my liking, but my husband thought it was delicious They have several different beers and wines to choose from. And they also had mango lassi and tea but we only had the water.

I arrived just after 1pm and the buffet was still set up and remained well cared for during my one hour visit. Chicken, lamb, vegetarian options, naan, riata, two different rice options plus a biryani. The food was flavorful and spicy but not especially "hot" spicy. If hot and spicy food is a challenge for you, this should be okay. For dessert, they have gulab jamun and a soft-serve mango ice cream. Perfect. The only thing missing was a box of single-use gloves so that I could avoid touching the tongs directly but they did have a bottle of hand sanitizer I used before and after each trip to the buffet. Each meal came with two curries, dal, naan, rice, a samosa, and gulab jamun. The food was packed well, stayed hot, and everything traveled nicely.
