I did get an answer from my review and I did appreciate the feedback and the comp on desserts. I will br back for another try. I was just so dissaointed in our meal and service. Just the way it all happened and my husband couldn't eat his dinner because I had no dinner. He did take his home and it was delicious. Visiting the area & decided to try this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews. It is nice that you are able to make a reservation through Yelp. This place is very busy especially on a Friday night. Reservations are advised. Upon looking, the time I wanted wasn't available. There is an option if the desired time becomes available, you can be notified by text to accept it. I chose that option and luckily was notified an hr before the time. There are only 5 parking spots in front of the restaurant but additional parking behind it. They offer indoor and outdoor seating although I did not see anyone sitting outside. We arrived a couple minutes early and was seated immediately. The restaurant was packed. Our server James did a great job. Immediately we were served warm rolls with a delicious olive oil and herb dipping sauce. We started with mozzarella in carrozzo. It was good and is served with 4 pieces. The side salads have a generous portion. For our entree we chose the Fiocchi Mandarino. It is a dish that is not often offered. The pasta purses are served in a delicious sauce. I highly recommend you trying this dish. It was amazing. To finish our experience off, we had the crème brûlée and chose a yummy tiramisu to go. Our check came to $72 before tip. Our food and service were all excellent and we will definitely be back! read more

Always a delicious experience with freshly made Italian fare that is unique and flavorful. The ambiance is good and service great as well. Highly recommend their osso bucco, their pastas, and well, just about everything! This is our favorite Italian restaurant within an hour drive and well worth the trip. Hidden gem in Ocala! Looking for a spot to grab dinner before a triathlon in the morning, came across Mesa de Notte. Place was busy, but grabbed a table without a reservation in about 5 mins. Had the mushroom soup, which was good, but it tasted suspiciously like Marsala sauce . The spaghetti bosco was amazing! Loaded with mushrooms, garlic, and spinach, it was light and filling and the portion was huge. Got a side of grilled veggies as well, which were delicious! Squash, zucchini, and bell peppers, I should've asked what they seasoned them with. Couldn't leave without a cannoli to go as well before bedtime. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was quaintly Italian inside. Would definitely go back! read more

Fist off, let me just say that unless it's a pizza joint, we rarely will go to an "Italian food" restaurant. Friends had highly recommended this place so we said we'd give it a try. We picked a weeknight to avoid the crowds (Tuesday). Decor inside very nice, kinda dark and romantic . We were greeted and seated right away. Very spacious inside. Our server was very prompt and knowledgeable on the menu. We ordered a few apps and wine and away we went. My pics don't do this place any justice. The food was just amazing. Prepared to perfection. We had reservations for New Year's Eve dinner at Mesa de Notte. Waited over an hour for our entrees!! I ordered an appetizer for the 3 of us to share. Bruschetta. It was not good. Thin slices of toast with a forgettable topping. Nothing I'd recommend. We each ordered the side salad. It was really bad. Bag greens, big pieces of lettuce. A mess. Yuck!! Whenever I go to a restaurant the salad is usually a telltale of what to expect from their food. Well, I was right. I got the fish piccata. It was so salty and completely inedible. One of my friends ordered the spaghetti with I-talian sausage and the other chicken parm. They liked their choices. They were nothing special. I'm Italian and I really enjoy good Italian cuisine but this place is not anything I would consider or recommend. Some the reviews were pretty good. Not sure how. I'm guessing these people are clueless about Italian cuisine. This restaurant was a huge disappointment. The manager was very nice snd polite. He agreed the piccata was very salty(he said they actually tasted it) and offered me another batch of pasta or some other food to eat. I refused. They did take my entree off the bill thank goodness. He then said he wanted to give me dessert and I said no. But he really wanted to try to make up for the bad entree. So I said okay, so what do you recommend. It was some type of custard ?????? It wasn't a custard. With sliced strawberries. Gave us 3 spoons so we could share. We had some but left most of it behind. He was so proud of it and asked me how I liked it. I said "Very Good" I lied. The truth is in this review. They have lost me forever. Never going back. Sometimes you just need to move on and let the experience teach you.
