    Eggplant rollatini with gnocchi

I can't say enough good things about Antonios! What a gem of an Italian restaurant. Located in Micanopy, a rural area between Gainesville and ocala. If you're driving by around dinner time, make the stop! Or, if you're willing to make a short drive out of town, know that The food here stands up to the highest big city standards. I personally love the gnocchi Genovese. The gnocchi here are handmade daily and prepared with care. This dish is on the sweeter side, but I love the creamy pesto combined with balsamic glaze. Divine! One time I stopped by and had a daily special of eggplant rollatini- also extremely delicious. You can't go wrong! Their side salads are fresh and tasty, and their desserts are impeccable as well. I love the tiramisu. The homey atmosphere and conscientious waitstaff are always consistent. Antonio's is one of my favorite Italian staples around northern Florida. Well done, chef!

We went to Antonio's for a date night last night and really enjoyed our meal. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer - I do agree with previous reviews that we wished the bread was crispy. We were pleasantly surprised to have been given complimentary bread with oil and that our meals came with a side soup or salad. We both had the Caesar and enjoyed it. I ordered the gnocchi, my husband ordered the fettuccine. We both preferred the gnocchi; there was something really incredible about the balsamic with the creamy sauce. The ambiance is tough to judge. The restaurant is a bit in the middle of nowhere and there is a sports bar on the same plot. There are cute chandeliers above each table and fun art of Italy on the walls. It feels like it wants to be fancy, but other diners were in sweatpants - it seems to be a come as you are atmosphere. All of the found came out quickly. Our reservation was at 7pm and we were done by 8pm (although we didn't order dessert). Overall, I would definitely recommend Antonio's. The food was excellent and it's nice to get to a restaurant outside of town.

Bruschetta was absolutely outstanding!! Texture was great and it was loaded with fresh ingredients

As I read some of the other reviews I find myself wondering if it was the same restaurant. Let me start off by saying this establishment significantly exceeded my expectations! Located just minutes from the bustle of Gainesville. Staff, quaintness, charm, service, choices, variety and food freshness and taste... I have nothing but high praise. Let's start with the ambiance and decor. Interesting art, textured wallpaper, cloth linens. Somewhat retro but still classy. Nothing felt cheesy or tacky. Staff- warm, cheerful, friendly and helpful. Big smiles at the door by a cheery host. Our server was delightful! I so wish I could recall her name. She had extensive knowledge of the menu and no question was too much. Efficient but not overbearing. She was excellent. Food- we each had a soup and ate half and traded. 5 stars as the soup was clearly homemade and delicious. You must order the bruschetta!! (See pic) I had eggplant parmigiana, cooked to perfection and flavorful too. Served with a side of pasta that was cooked perfectly. Hubs had the fish special and he is still raving about it. Sadly we didn't save room for dessert but we will next time.

I really wanted to love this restaurant after searching for a quality Italian spot ever since Leonardo's 706 closed, but sadly it just didn't quite do it for me. The service was amazing, the ambience was nice and quaint, but sadly the food was just decent, and nothing mind blowing. We ordered a burrata to start, and it was definitely the toughest burrata I've ever had. Usually I think of a creamy soft inside when I cut into burrata, however this version was rather tough inside. The burrata was still tasty, just different. Next we went for the chicken parmigiana and the lobster ravioli, and both just left more to be desired. The chicken was somewhat tough and didn't taste well cooked throughout. The lobster ravioli was decent on first bite but the lobster was just overly powerful, and the creamy sauce just made the dish too decadent to eat more than a few bites. I will say the tiramisu was interesting in terms of its deconstructed presentation, and I enjoyed it. I don't think I'll sadly be making the drive out to micanopy for anything other than the pizza up the road, but I enjoyed the pleasant people that I met in the restaurant!

Great photo ops around the property as well!

Excellent food & staff. Quaint and unique! Antonio's is great for any dining experience, but especially for date night. The house made bread was amazing!!! We ordered the Clams and Mussels with Spaghetti and a grouper special that was amazing!!! We cannot wait to dine here again!

If we lived in the area, we would come here at least once a week super super great food super atmosphere and the staff is phenomenal. they had a sangria special, but I didn't get one but all the people around me I could hear him say how great it was. However our food took ages to come out. The place wasn't packed and for just a few sandwiches and one small pizza and salad we waited about an hour. Not of this takes more than a few minutes to make. The prices are absurd. Very expensive for a pizza place and not worth the money. They serve your food on paper plates with plastic silverware. With how expensive the food is, that is ridiculous. The food was fine. Nothing great, nothing bad. Very high priced for what you get. The only thing making this 3 instead of 2 stars is because the food is fine.

From thoughtful touches to genuine kindness, every detail showed that they actually cared about the experience we were having, not just the meal. It's rare to find a restaurant that goes out of its way to create a moment, but this team absolutely did. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion, and the extra effort they made turned a nice dinner into a memory we'll always remember. If you're celebrating something important--or just want to feel taken care of--this is the place. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for making our anniversary unforgettable.

We made a reservation for 3 PM but when we arrived, it didn't look like a reservation was needed since there were a few empty tables. Our server presented us their menu, with a Valentine's Day special menu insert. We already checked out their menu online so we pretty much knew what we wanted to order. We started with the Calamari Fritto ($17). Reading how their Maiale Osso Buco ($32) is their standout menu item, that's what I ordered. My wife was going to order off the regular menu but pivoted to the Ravioli di Aragosta ($35) upon seeing the special menu. We were served freshly baked rolls topped with toasted garlic and accompanied by an olive oil dipping sauce. That was yummy. The calamari was well prepared, flavorful, tender and not rubbery. My wife liked her ravioli, commenting how the pasta was perfectly cooked. It was accompanied by 5 pieces of large shrimp. My dish lived up to the billing as their best dish! One of the wait staff even commented how it's the best dish on the menu. Tender and juicy meat accompanied by creamy, well seasoned risotto. The portions were also quite generous that I had to take some leftovers home. Oh yeah, like any good restaurant, the wait staff puts your leftovers in a container instead of diners having to do so themselves. Always appreciated! Service was on point and the ambience was equally nice...although located along Silver Springs Blvd/Hwy 40, traffic noise can be heard inside. Dinner for 2 came out to just under $120 with tip. We'll be back.
