Our first time here. Came because of the reviews and wasn't disappointed. Maggie waited on us and we told her it was our first time and she treated up like royalty. She recommended the special pasta. I had mine with meat sauce and my wife had the marinara sauce and meatballs. The meatballs and meat sauce was outstanding. It's about a 35 mile drive for us but it was well worth it. Maggie packed up the leftovers for us and included some of the great garlic rolls and she even included a piece of tiramisu. We came as the lunch crowd was dying down. She told us that if we come on the weekend we better make reservations. We live these family run restaurants. We're definitely going to make it one of our go to places. read more

I had the grandmas pie and it was honestly just so delicious, most pizza places here don't serve the grandmas pie so I was extremely happy they served it here! So I guess not only our food pictures, but the descriptions of how delicious the food was at previous visits and the incredible service, (even on the worst of evenings--grad night!), swayed our friends (a local chiropractor and his wife) to not only give us a gift card for our next dinner (he said the incredible smell of fresh garlic rolls and the food inside was driving him INSANE while waiting to buy the gift card) AND they actually wanted to meet there and try their food for themselves! So we met there a little after 4 pm for dinner on 1/4/25 and they had already swayed our waiter to their side without notifying us (darn it! Sneaky friends!) so they could pick up the bill --if I had of known, I would've skipped the appetizer and the take-home pizza!!! But, our food was on spot, hot and fresh and basically BLEW THEM AWAY! Both said they would DEFINITELY be not only coming back themselves, but tell their other friends about how fantastic this little place is! I managed to slip away from the table and buy some of the fresh packaged pasta for sale (buy 2 and get a free jar of pesto!) and cooked some up for my husband to take with him over the road (last night) in his semi. Who needs to eat McDonald's when you can enjoy fresh pasta, sauce and sweet Italian sausage? It was tender, flavorful and delicious! I will be getting more on our next visit as well! They were enthralled by the beautiful murals on the walls and how fresh and delicious everything was. Not only was it outstanding once again, but the true difference between packaged or frozen, reheated and fresh made, IN-HOUSE made everything is mind blowing and a delight to the palate. It will only take ONE visit and you'll be a convert as well. We're already willing disciples in the Italian church of cuisine...best to go to the pinnacle of this much mimicked, but rarely achieved specialty cuisine. UPDATE: I had the leftovers tonight and a lot of the sauce was on the bottom of the foil pan it was put in. This isn't typically the case. The presentation of throwing all the chicken on top instead of incorporating it still isn't great even if there is a lot of chicken. Overall it would've been much better if whomever made it last night would've taken more time to thoroughly incorporate everything. Everything typically tastes better the next day as well because they get happy. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The Spaghetti alla puttanesca has gone down in quality and flavor with each order I've picked up over the last 1.5 years. I'm not sure what's going on but tonight it is not at all close to what I expected. If you look at my original photo of this dish in my first review you can see it looks amazing. Tonight's did not have the chicken mixed in, there is not enough sauce, so it's dry. The items that I love most, the capers and olives are nearly non existent. The rolls that are included do not have any of the seasoning on them that they used to. I did accidentally order the blackened chicken instead of grilled so that's on me but to have it all scattered on top instead of mixed in? read more

I have been to this restaurant several times. The place is small but don't let that fool you. This place serves great Italian food at good prices. I was impressed by the quality and serving sizes in this unassuming restaurant. They have a small business vibe and the staff are very friendly. They have New York style pizza without the excess grease! My wife enjoyed her salad. I assume it was great as she has ordered it twice now. The mozzarella caprese was fresh and light. We had been wanting to try this place for a long time now. Finally decided to give it a try as everywhere else was closed on Mondays. It was just okay. Nothing blew us away. I ordered a pizza on their cauliflower crust. The pizza was so oily that the crust was wet and soggy from it. The edges were crisp but the rest was mush. My husband ordered a chicken dish and it was good but nothing special. The servers were friendly but it was a little slow as they were slightly busy. read more

Friday family pizza night and we decided to give O Sole Mio a try. Called ahead a half meat lovers and half cheese for the kids. Ready on time 30 minutes later - even on a busy Friday night. Smelled so delicious on the car ride home we had to snag a slice! Added 6 garlic rolls to the order and those were sampled before we got home as well! While waiting for the cashier I was able to look over the variety of pizza by the slice options, and they were tempting! Had dinner at O Solo Mio. Our server Keith was fantastic. Very accommodating with requests for things like extra mushrooms and for anchovies on salad. I had the grandma's sauce spaghetti and a side of meatballs. The pasta was Al dente but the sauce wasn't good. Tasted like the cook hadn't properly sautéed the garlic before adding the tomatoes so the sance tasted like raw garlic. The sauce that the meatballs were in was very tasty. I liked the bread service. We asked for olive oil for dipping and it was provided. Unfortunately, the oil had little taste. This was surprising since they sell bottles of their olive oil in the restaurant. However, apparently what is served to guests is cut with a cheaper oil. Seems dumb to do since who wants to buy a bottle of olive oil that tastes watered down? Ambiance of the place is nice though I wish they played Italian music and/or Sinatra. read more

One of the easiest 5-stars ever! Thanks to fellow Yelpers for this unassuming restaurant set amongst a modern neighborhood strip mall. We came in on a Wednesday night at 530. We had a reservation, but by the looks of the empty tables, it wasn't needed. Within 30 minutes, the place was full, and the people coming/going for pizza takeout was literally non-stop. The menu is 3 pages long, and will take you 5 minutes to review. Some wonderful dishes here. We settled on 2 ravioli plates, and the winner by a nose was the lobster ravioli. Just so good. The shrimp on top were a sweet, moist, and crunchy bonus (yes, "crunchy"). The garlic knots were superb, and were buttery and savory. We took home a cannoli for dessert. Decadent. Wine list is simple, yet solid. Beer is on tab. No liquor. Service was first-rate, and Jolie is a master at her craft: genuinely friendly, efficient, and happy. Loved her! Met some old friends here for dinner last week. This place serves HUGE portions of food. I was able to eat for three meals with the amount of fettuccine I was served. BOMB garlic rolls and one of the BEST desserts I've had in a long time. Everything was delicious. Service was great and the ambiance was chill and relaxing. This restaurant is located in a Publix strip mall, so there's plenty of parking and it's easy to find via GPS and was surprisingly delicious. 10/10 will definitely be back here when I'm in the area and in the mood for some great Italian cuisine. read more

We placed a large take out order to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday while we were visiting my brother in High Springs. I flew the entire family in for the celebration and because my husband loves Italian, we decided to order in instead of me cooking for two days. I was a little worried because I thought I should have ordered the day before since it was a large order.. and also we and most of the family are from NYC area and we make our own sauce from scratch...so REALLY picky about flavors in Italian food . But there was no need to worry. The sauce, the food, the service and the people were all excellent !! We had fried calamari with marinara sauce on the side, orders of lasagna, orders of chicken Parm, eggplant Parm,eggplant rolantini, garlic rolls, penne à la vodka, a giant Caesar salad... Everything was absolutely delicious! I was so thrilled with my decision and the food was plentiful. We had leftovers the next day for everyone. We enjoyed a family dinner there and everything was really perfect. Great place if you're craving huge pasta portions and calories are the last thing on your mind. The service was so friendly and the menu selection was fantastic. We'll definitely go again and would happily recommend to a friend. We had the two eggplant dishes on the menu, my father-in-law had the seafood pasta, and I had the Gorgonzola chicken pasta. The pizza was not my personal preference in many areas, first the thin crust pizza , the crust was good, but there was no flavor to the sauce and the cheese was not cooked as much as I like. the Sicilian was so dry, the sauce was almost nonexistent , also the cheese was just white all over, I prefer it to be cooked more. Overall I do not feel the need to come back, which really surprised me based on other reviews. I guess if I lived close and didn't feel like driving I could see growing to like it. But at the price point, why settle. Nothing was specifically bad, it just wasn't very good. Service was mehh, definitely catering to the regulars. I have uncle who is from Italy and had his own restaurant for 35 years before passing away and I hate to say it but this place has the best alfredo sauce it was perfect! They substituted the bread for the bruschetta with gluten free crust and made my salad without croutons with the best ranch dressing! My alfredo came with gluten free pasta cooked in a fresh pot so no risk of cross contamination! Almost forgot they had a wonderful Caprese salad as well! read more

They were prepared for our big group and this really impressed me. Really felt like an authentic Italian restaurant from the smell to the paintings on the wall. Sadly, the food did not match. I got the Penne alla vodka which was crazy hot (burnt tongue real bad) and has way too much sauce. I also tried lasagna and meatballs, both lacked flavor. We had hungry kids with us and the friendly waiter brought us rolls right away. When the food arrived it was hot and amazing! Even the kids meal was good. We got quite a few items to try and it was not overly expensive either! A very worthwhile place to try. Altho we were very full and had to get three to go boxes. The portions were enormous! I had seen people walking out of O Sole Mio with takeout pizza boxes for months while I would go to the Publix next door. I knew I needed to check out this pizza that seemingly everyone loved. I ordered the supreme pizza, which comes with sausage, ham, pepperoni, bacon, meatballs, onions, black olives, mushrooms, and green peppers. They did not skimp on the toppings here! The crust was perfectly crispy and the pizza sauce was flavorful. Overall a very good pizza and about what you would expect in price.
