They have horses that move up and down, but they also have steady horses that stay still, which is great for younger children who might be nervous about the movement. They even have small benches where you can sit instead of riding a horse. The kids were very happy, the area was clean, and the service was good.

Google maps took me to the back of the carousel but there was no entrance. Luckily there is a small street to the right and we were able to get to the parking lot and go to the entrance. The carousel is house in a small building where it is protected from the elements. Tickets cost $4 for a single ride for the general public and $3 for members of the Long Island Children's Museum. You can also purchase a 10 pack of tickets at a price of $35 for the general public and $25 for members of the Long Island Children's Museum. The carousel has been restored to its former glory. It is a beautiful sight to see. Some of carousel horses go up and down others are stationary. There are also 2 chariots and even a lion (stationary). The music is classic carousel tunes. The hub in the middle is painted with murals of an older time as is the top of the carousel. The rife lasts almost 4 minutes. A very nice experience.

Unlike traditional carousels SeaGlass doesn't have a center pole. The four turntables are driven by electric motors which is quite unique and pretty cool! Some of the fish at the Carousel are inspired by Angelfish Threadfin Butterfly fish Regal Angelfish Orange-Spot Wrasse Betta Clearfin Lionfish and so much more! Current hours for June, July, and August are 9:00 A.M - 9:00 P.M. You can check the SeaGlass website for subway, bus, driving, and walking directions to the SeaGlass Carousel. Tickets are $6.00 per person. If you buy group tickets for 10, you can get special pricing for $55.00. You can purchase the tickets on site at the SeaGlass Carousel. This is such a fun experience. I was admiring the birds on the water and I walked and it helped pass the time. Keep a look out for droppings on the ground unless you don't care to soil your shoes. Nearing the end of my walk, I really wanted to spend some time on the bridge where most of the waterfowls were gathered. It turns out that a family was feeding them. The very last morsel was taken by one geese that miffed another geese and so it chase the other with aggression. Birds can be pretty brutal and they were quite huge so I had to stay away. What an unfortunate experience. Besides the lake, there's also a beautiful playground, picnic tables, a sports field and tennis courts. The Heckscher Museum of Art can also be found on the grounds as well as a September 11 Memorial. It is definitely worth a visit. There is decent amount of parking spaces all around the park for ease of access too.

The children's play area is well-kept and offers various activities to keep them entertained for hours. There are also plenty of shaded areas for parents to relax while their little ones play. It was beautiful to see that a small section of the park was dedicated to honoring the victims of 9/11 from Huntington. The memorial was peaceful and provided a space for individuals to reflect and pay their respects. My family and I also enjoyed watching the wildlife by the lake and the array of perfectly placed flowers planted throughout the grounds. This park has quickly become one of my favorite places in Huntington. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Every time I called or spoke to someone, they were so kind, willing to answer every question I had and assured me that everything would be perfect. They were right. The space for the carousel is for 50 people because that is how many chairs they have available. We had over 50 people there and you never felt crammed or squashed. There was SO much space. We had entertainers come and they had room to set up and put on their shows as well. They park provides 6 rectangular tables for guests to sit at as well as 3 other tables that could be used to food, gifts, favors..etc. The carousel operator ( I wish I would have remembered her name) was amazing- she was so kind and attentive and even gave the baby a t shirt! The staff working at the concession was also so helpful in letting us unload the food and drinks prior to the party start time. A special thank you to Emily who really went above and beyond to make sure everything went right. The weather was perfect too and it helps that the entire carousel section is covered so even if its hot outside, it was nice and shaded. Our guests were raving about this party for many days afterwards. We even had many native Staten Islanders who had come there for the first time. They will definitely be returning. I want to have every party there from now on. Thank you again to the staff, Do not hesitate to throw a party here because you well get your moneys worth and the experience will surely be a positive one.

Our toddler Leo B. rode a carousel in Sacramento back in March, just before his second birthday,…read moreand he loved it so much he threw a fit when it was over, and the brief ride became one of his most salient memories. He talked about it all the time and asked to see "carousel pictures" over and over, and then we went home to L.A., where the one time we tried to drive to find a carousel, the damn thing was out of operation and we had to hide it from his view. So when we spent a week within a couple blocks of Bryant Park, we were thrilled to discover Le Carrousel at the beginning of our stay. Tickets cost $4 each or $20 for ten, and I decided we could manage ten rides over the next five days. I gave away a couple of rides, but we did use eight, so that was $20 well spent. Le Carrousel is in the thick of Bryant Park, not a huge one, but plenty big enough to impress small children. There was a cute little ticket booth, where I bought a punch card that I was able to redeem for tokens throughout the week (not sure why this extra step was necessary, but the gold tokens had their own charm, I suppose). The carousel was always staffed by one or two people who dealt with tickets and watched to make sure that children were attended and strapped in and that nothing went wrong during the rides. They were, as a group, friendly and efficient. The carousel didn't get busy during the week, so Leo got his pick of horses and was able to stay on for consecutive rides. There was more of a crowd on the Saturday, when we were using up his last tokens. Another parent asked us to move him off his favored horse so her kids could ride next to each other, and we obliged, only for Leo to become upset and for another full-on five-year-old to throw a loud tantrum and demand the same apparently very attractive horse. The mom who had us move then gave up the horse for this older child, and I wish everyone involved some minor indignity or discomfort for this nonsense, making my baby cry so a brat who should know better could have his way. Anyway, you can't always get what you want, and mostly, Leo did get what he wanted, which was near-daily carousel rides for an entire week. If you have a little one who loves a merry-go-round, I'd highly recommend frequent visits to Bryant Park.
