Wow what a lovely shop!! Stopped in yesterday and was treated to absolutely wonderful service with quite a large variety of flowers and plants to choose from for their small space. Horrible service. Order online for same delivery. To find out hours later when I called myself to check in that they will not be delivered.

I needed to place a large order of flowers for my fathers funeral and this place exceeded my expectations with the wonderful arrangement received. The owners and everyone that works there is very professional and also make sure that you are left satisfied with whatever it is you're looking for. Don't hesitate to hire this florist for any occasion. This will be my go to place whenever I need an arrangement. Thank you! read more

Honestly, I satisfied with the service and assortment of this store. They keep flowers in the proper temperature, have good verity and I always get something nice. Not the cheapest store but they gladly play within your budget. Don't like the tax, that they add, but it's not the most important. Today when it's the record hit outside +90' or so.. I'm glad to grab my bouquet here, as I see the good condition of roses, they are really fresh and not damaged by hit waves. Total spent today $19.50 ($2.5 per branch of garder roses*7+tax). Will come back again and again! This is the best we have in the area between 157th and 168th and Broadway. read more

I came in 4 days before Valentine's Day when it was pretty empty to request an arrangement to be ready in Valentine's Day itself and was told "to just come in on Valentine's Day to pick it up" I was also told they would have a bigger selection of flowers on valentines day, which they did not. So I go in around 11 am on Valentine's and it's completely SWAMPED, there's only one person actually handling the flowers so it's not only taking forever but she's clearly uninterested in helping me bc I want a bouquet made from scratch and not a pre assembled one. All in al I was in there for 40 minutes waiting to be helped and making my bouquet, the quality of the flowers themselves was only Okay (they couldn't even get fresh roses for Valentine's Day?????) and it ends up costing $50~ dollars. I would never go here again unless it was an emergency. read more

Very disappointed with this flower shop. Friends from out of town procured their services to send us an arrangement in celebration of our recent engagement. The flowers arrived smushed and wilted. The roses are brown on the tips and seem half dead and it looks as many of the blooms have been recycled. We are looking for a florist to beautify our wedding. We will definitely NOT be using Merry Flowers. read more

Merry Flowers came through for my friends and I in the most amazing way! After our original flower order for a friend who had just had her baby was undeliverable since the hospital was out of range, I was stuck up the creek without a bouquet. It was Sunday at 5pm, and I wanted to make sure the flowers got to her that evening since I wasn't sure if a Monday delivery window would arrive in her room before she checked out. I began frantically calling florists in the area of the hospital, and many were unable to get a bouquet out in the short window. Not Merry Flowers! They happily put together a gorgeous pink and white bouquet for me and delivered it to the hospital immediately. My friend and her husband had beautiful flowers to welcome them and their new arrival as soon as they arrived in their room, and the owner texted me photos of the bouquet as well as updates on the delivery to ease my anxious soul. An amazing place and incredible customer service!!! read more

What a great place to come for flowers! For two weeks I planned the proposal to my partner. The day of the ask I needed to get his favorite roses. I decided to walk around my new neighborhood and stumbled upon this cute family owned shop. The interior was so well laid out and very clean. They actually had the orange blood roses he loves. I ordered one dozen and surprisingly they were under 40$!!! The quality is great since they last over a week! I recommend this shop to everyone! read more

Received half dead roses [even the blue filler flowers were already dying] from my son for Mother's day. I immediately called Merry flowers and they told me they could not give my son a credit as he ordered through 800 Flowers and offered me a replacement bouquet instead. I was told the replacement would arrive today. When the flowers had not arrived I was told, "the delivery guy forgot to deliver them today but they are sitting on the truck so I will get them tomorrow" Now they say they wont replace them at all The worst read more

Great quality for a fair price, the owner is always willing to help and ask about the specific use for the flowers so that she can make the best adjustments and recommendations possible, I always feel like I got my money's worth when I come here. read more

This florist should read the accompanying review first then the tips as posted by Telaflorist.. This was the worst experience ever with Teleflora, the florist "Merry Flowers, the 3801 Broadway, NY NY telephone 212 927 1224 should be removed as one of your florists.  The flowers that I ordered where to be delivered to Columbia Hospital also in NYC.  I received three phone calls at my residence in Florida wanting to know if there was anyone there to deliver the flowers to the recipient. The florist was advised that this was a hospital and they told me that they would not deliver the flowers even to the front desk.  I have ordered flowers before and had them delivered to other hospital and this is totally unprofessional on their part.  I called the hospital and they also told me that the flowers would be accepted by the front desk and then delivered to the patient who is my sister. Please make sure that I receive a refund for the amount that I was charged which was $88.15 Tips for Sending Flowers to a Hospital When a loved one is hospitalized, a hospital floral delivery is one of the most encouraging and uplifting gifts you can give. Flowers brighten their room and serve as a constant reminder of how much you care. Flowers have even been shown in studies to bring about a positive mood. So your gift could be just what the doctor ordered! With Teleflora, sending flowers to a hospital is easy, even if you're thousands of miles away. Our local florists are experienced in making these very special deliveries and know the protocol for each neighborhood hospital. Keep in mind that some areas of the hospital, such as the Intensive Care Unit, do not accept floral deliveries due to possible plant or pollen allergies. In this case, consider sending the bouquet to the recipient's home when they are released. When placing your order online, make sure to specify the name of the medical center and room number where your loved one is a patient. If you are unsure of the room number, our florist will attempt to call the patient visitor information desk to check for you but, if the patient is registered as a non-disclosure or no information patient, and you do not know the room number, the hospital staff cannot confirm that they are a patient at the hospital and will refuse the delivery. That is why it is important to know the hospital room number before you place your order. The florist can then deliver your gift to the Patient Visitor Information Desk and a volunteer will take it up to the room. We will email you a delivery confirmation so that you can be sure the bouquet was received. In the event that your loved one checks out of the hospital early, the local florist will call you to ask for an alternate delivery address so that they can enjoy your gift at home. Below are some of our suggestions on the most beautiful hospital floral deliveries, you can also browse our Get Well Gift Guide for more ideas. Here's to a speedy recovery! read more

Friendly staff and almost every color rose you can think of. Their prices are pretty standard and they allow you to create your own bouquets. Flowers are kept in a cooled area to preserve their life and freshness. I went on a 2 day vacation, returned and the flowers are still fresh and blooming quite nicely. read more

If I could give them a 0 i would have. Went in on Saturday to purchase flowers. The customer service was so horrible we had to walk out of the place. The lady who was working was very rude, she was on the phone talking about us in Spanish because she assumed we didn't know what she was saying. When we asked a question she answered us rudely. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Horrible!!! I know that when you order online the order is sent to vendors in your area. My order was sent here and screwed up for the start. I ordered balloons and a small $15.00 box of truffles. It was received a day early so I hid them but, now on the day of my husband's 50th birthday I have deflating sad looking balloons. The weight that they used to hold down the balloons is wrapped in aluminum foil. Not foil gift paper, aluminum foil that looks so ghetto. Also they forgot the birthday message so basically it's like a gift without a card. As for the $15.00 box of truffles, I received a 4 oz. box of Russell Stover stale chocolate that I could have gotten in any Duane Reade for $4.00. When I called them the first thing I asked was if they had truffles to send as a gift with balloons, the girl that answered said yes. My next question was "then why was I charged $15.00 for a 4 oz. box of stale creamed filled Russell Stover?" She put her boss on the phone and without even asking my order or invoice number, he already knew that he scammed me. Tried telling me that the order was for chocolate and they don't have truffles so they send Russell Stover. I informed him that if the company I ordered from advertised that they had truffles and if he doesn't carry them he should not accept the order and let it go to another vendor. It's not fair to the customer or the online vendor that I used to advertise for, and pay for, something you don't have. I'm aware that they're allowed to substitute certain flowers and items if they're not in stock but to substitute it with something of a far lesser value, stale and inedible is just dishonest. Most of us don't get a chance to see what we send to people we care about but expect it to be worth what we pay for. I'm glad I able to see these pitiful deflating balloons and cheap, stale chocolate before my husband did and throw them away. The only professional thing about this business is the girl that works there and called me and sent several texts to apologize. Other than that, this place is a rip off and they should be ashamed of themselves. They advertise they are a family owned and operated business, to bad they don't treat our orders the same way they would treat them as if it was a gift to their own family. read more

After numerous of phone calls I received my valentines flowers 3 days late from my Bf. The original order was a flower basket with teddy bear, but I received a simple bouquet with a vase with no teddy bear, no basket. First phone call to see when the flowers would be delivered, on valentines day, they informed me that the driver was on their way. 2 hours later, no delivery. I called again and spoke to the gentleman from flower shop, why the delivery could not be delivered, he got defensive and started arguing with me, telling me all kind of excuses regarding the 20 min drive for delivery, then he said he had no delivery guy. He suggested I could pick them up myself, after paying $15 in delivery charge. What a joke!!! I or my Bf, will never order flowers from them again, do your self a favor and pick another place! read more
