She wanted me to start with pain mgmt and since I was a patient of Dr. Gordon (at his previous practice) I wanted to come here so I would already be set up and ready to see him once we knew surgery was needed. I was set up with Dr. Calodney for the pain mgmt and I thought he was fine in the beginning. My second appt was with his PA to receive my MRI results via a televisit and that was a fiasco. I waited in a virtual waiting room for more than an hour to talk to her. Once she signed in she was not friendly and didn't give me the full results (I found out there was more to my problem once I finally saw him). I saw Calodney again and tried several injections that never worked. I asked to be referred to Dr. Gordon to fix my herniated disc and was ignored. I left this practice for another one and I'm glad I did. Dr. Gordon is awesome for anyone who needs to know, but I wouldn't think it is worth the headache of dealing with this office. The billing was always screwed up and I would have to call to tell them they applied pmts wrong or billed me on dates I wasn't seen. They finally got it all straightened out but it just seems unorganized and unprofessional.

The problem is, he uses a PA ( which I saw in his office before I was allowed to see him) and my insurance was used and processed with no problems. When they told me she would be assisting in surgery I thought nothing of it because is already seen her. Imagine my absolute shock when I got a bill saying I owe 32,000$ for her devices because she's actually out of network! Also, Dr. Raabe ordered some anti blood clot-leg devices and they were denied by insurance -an almost $8,000 charge to me. When I called his office about this his assistant told me the hospital issued them so I had to appeal it through them. Turns out that's not true. I talked with my insurance company and they contacted Dr. Raab's office and the office is now appealing both of these things. I cannot afford 40,000$ and hope the doctor and insurance company will do the right thing. There was no indication his PA was out of network and I wasn't given the option to refuse the leg things. I would still suggest Dr. Raabe alone because my back hasn't felt this good -ever

I saw his PA, Jonathan Redwing. for several visits and this young man absolutely knows his business. I only saw Dr. Wupperman as I was getting closer to having surgery so he could evaluate what I would need as I have a small frame. Surgery was scheduled, and I had the replacement. I did several weeks of physical therapy and am happy to report, my recovery is almost 100%. I could not have asked for the results to be any better. I also saw him several years ago when I fractured my leg. When it appeared that my leg was not healing, he did not hesitate to send me to someone else to see if something was being overlooked. If you are faced with having surgery, I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Wupperman and his staff. I am sorry for the negative reviews, but they were made several years ago. After my surgery, I had a prescription for pain medication. I only took it for a few days before I started weening myself off as I had had a bad experience with taking it which ultimately required surgery. That stuff can do bad things to you if you are not careful.

He tells you how bad off you are, which you already know, but refuses you pain meds even if your surgery is weeks away, and forget about "service after the sale." No next day phone call to see how you are doing and even though he knows it will take several weeks for you to mend, you have to practically beg for pain medication then and he will only write you an RX for #30. He is so paranoid about giving out pain meds, you are left to suffer.
