Honestly I've never had the greatest opinion of chiropractors, despite the fact that I've been helped personally in the past by their practices. However, Dr. David Flynn and East Texas Doctors of Chiropractic are a complete change of pace from the image I'd carried for years. He's not interested in "my business" so much as he is in making me feel better and live healthier. He's got an incredible amount of knowledge and is skilled in multiple types of treatment. He approaches patients totally, through nutrition, fitness, rehabilitation, and more traditional chiropractic methods. What I really liked, though, was that he explains everything thoroughly and honestly, answers every question and is constantly doing reading and researching to stay current on the medical knowledge of the day. He's well-respected by peers, and before visiting his office I asked around to a variety of people - from doctors to neighbors. He even holds free clinics all year to educate patients and the public about different common medical concerns like migraines or knee pain, and how they can be addressed - by him, or otherwise. The bottom line is that I've visited him multiple times for a variety of ailments: from a strained back playing tennis to leg pain from soccer. Dr Carroll is the absolute best!!! I was having migraines almost every week when my sister encouraged me to visit Flynn Chiropractic. It was the best decision I have ever made and have had SIGNIFICANTLY fewer migraine headaches and back problems since seeing Dr Carroll. Migraines used to quite literally rule my life and now I rarely ever deal with them at all. I was very hesitant at first since I had never been to a chiropractor before, but the staff is all so wonderful and kind, and Dr Carroll took extra care to make sure I felt comfortable and at ease. He's incredibly sweet and explains everything he is going to do beforehand. I was diagnosed with scoliosis a few years ago and have always suffered with lower back pain. I have been seen on a regular basis by several chiropractic services but never achieved the relief I desired.  A few times I have even visited chiropractic services for acute pain and never obtained the relief I so greatly needed to function in my daily living. Immediately after visiting Dr. David Flynn for a severe muscle spasm in my back I received complete relief. His combination of treatment options paired with his knowledge and courteous, professional staff provided the exact outcome that I desired. This being said, I am an RN by trade and not easily impressed, but Dr. Flynn's professionalism and assessment skills impressed me immediately. I hurt my back lifting too heavy and had been trying for three weeks to treat it at home, to no avail. I had been to Flynn years ago and called. They got me right in. I was treated twice & after the second visit I left feeling relief! Finally! I had not been able to do anything for three weeks because of the pain. It's now two days later and I feel so great! Dr. Flynn is amazing!! I will continue treatment and doing the stretches they showed me. I've been going to Dr. Flynn since we moved to Tyler and he's always done a great job to keep me moving! I'm a runner, cyclist and triathlete. Dr. Flynn for me, is as much about preventative care, but also for the occasional injury or discomfort from travel. Dr. Flynn always considers overall health and has made recommendations on supplements in the past, but I don't see that as a "sales pitch" and more of looking out for my total health. Dr. Flynn is a great chiropractor. Great for all aches and pains and sports injuries. Ortho and family doc told me my knee pain was just a part of getting older. Pain was to the point I couldn't squat down and had problems getting up off the floor. Thanks to Dr. Flynn the pain is gone and I am back to normal and doing triathlons and road bike rides. He listened to me about my low back pain and asked questions. This helped me realize what may have triggered my back pain to return. The examination he performed was complete for my condition. I liked that we started with a minimal treatment plan. He performed few back adjustments. Then I received a tens machine treatment. I was also shown how to do a few stretching exercises. I was new to town and my massage therapist referred me to this office less than a year ago. I see Dr Carroll and he does a great job addressing my issues and educates me with visuals and practical advice. The office staff works with my schedule and is accommodating with scheduling.
