When you walk into this facility, a feeling of calm comes over you. The scent of eucalyptus and peppermint are happiness to your nostrils. The professional receptionist refers to you by name after asking what time is your appointment....so personal . Next, she leads you to a serene waiting area to complete the necessary consent forms and learn (at your leisure) about other services, diseases, natural cures, etc. Once the forms are complete the Technician comes in and chat with you briefly and show you were to change to prepare for your session. Once changed, you are positioned on the procedure device (i don't know the medical name) or table to relax and begin your session. During my session, I required a lot of massaging and an extended amount of time. I was not rushed one time, and actually ended the session myself because I had to leave. I called the Rockwall Colonics and Wellness Spa and spoke with Dominique. She talked to me extensively about the colonic I would be getting. She has a wealth of knowledge on health and nutrition. Upon arriving, I was greeted with a huge hug from her. She made my experience pleasant. I was nervous and she helped me relax, stayed with me and was very warm and personable. Since digestive problems have become the new norm for us baby-boomers, taking the time to treat yourself to a professional hygienic colonic is a great step in starting a natural health protocol. So I had intentions on trying several other places in Dallas, but I don't see the Colonics Experience getting any better than this place! First off, the place is like a spa! It smells pretty and it looks pretty and its extremely comfortable and inviting. The ladies that work here are sooooo friendly and take the time to explain ANYTHING. You really can ask them about ANY concerns you have...trust me...they have heard and seen it all! They offer both open and closed system colonics. Which I have not seen any other places in dallas offering the closed system. My first colonic at a different place was an open system. I was exhausted and dehydrated after it. I told the technician at Rockwall Colonics this and she told me that at least until l learn how colonics should feel to my body, I need to use the closed system b/c it is controlled by a technician who is trained and experienced and can adjust the pressure so that I don't loose too much fluids or have a painful and exhausting session. I was worried about the embarrassment of having a colonic. However, the tech is so extremely sweet and makes you feel so comfortable. Yes, the initial insertion is awkward and uncomfortable, but that take 30 seconds and thats it. I have seen men, women, black, white, hispanic, and all age groups here. So if embarrassment or thinking this is just for women is holding you back, please don't let it. This place is so comforting....and everyone there is there for the same reason so there is no need to be embarrassed. To other colon hydrotherapy establishments, this is what you should aspire to! Give me a comforting environment and for God's sake, a decent website! I'm so happy this place is here...I don't know what'd I do without it! I visited for a Colonic which was very sucessful. The therapist spent extra time with me so that I could get results..definitely exceeded my alloted appointment time..on a Saturday too! Any other therapist would have said okay..your time's up..come back for more treatments! The environment is relaxing and staff is caring. They give you a shot glass of electrolytes and chewable probiotics before you leave and make sure you are okay to go home. I'm grateful for the experience.
