Once I realized how much I was spending on 'just to get me by' massages, I decided it was time to get proper treatment, and the hunt was on! I called several other offices in the area as part of my search and was generally turned off by the 'corporate-y' feel of the reception, not to mention the extensive lead times needed for their new patient appointments. With Doc's Body Shop, they were instantly friendly, professional, and in my case were able to get me in within the next few days. I'm a hairstylist and need to be aligned about once every 2 months to keep myself from having a horrible nerve pinching pain that happens when my spine gets out of whack. Years ago that happened to me and the pain was so horrible it felt like someone had rammed a knife in my back and if I moved it felt like it was being twisted in! That's when I met Dr Ray. He took X-rays and told me the issue then adjusted me. Immediate relief of the pain happened!! Like a freaking miracle or something hahaha so I said " oh my God!! you healed me! It's crazy!" And he jokingly said "oh you can just call me Dr Ray " hahaha I had to take a week off work and had about 3 more sessions with him that week.He explained to me that because of my repetitive motions all day long and being on my feet I will more than likely run into that issue again if I don't come in for adjustments at least once every 2 months. So I said ok. I was pretty good about coming in for about a year and then i got lazy and though ohhhh I'll be ok .. No need to come in. And I didn't come in for an adjustment for about 6-7 months and you better believe that same shit happened to me again!!! Just like he said! Ugh! That's what I get for not taking care of myself. Pain brought me to my knees again just like last time and I had to take a week off work.. And Dr Ray fixed me again, same as before. I learned my lesson. I won't be missing my appts anymore lol.
