We also had a very nice and helpful waitress. My husband absolutely loved his country fried steak. I had to try some because the gravy looked like ooey gooey goodness and I was right. It even had giant chunks of sausage in it which made it even better. Bet it would be fantastic over biscuits. Their homemade mashed potatoes were phenomenal. I got the burger and homemade fries. The burger was ok. Loved the fries. When we go out that way again, we'll certainly be stopping again.

Lots of specials. You will not have a hard time finding something to eat here. This is your quintessential down home local place. It's just lovely. Diner vibes. The service is amazing! Such friendly and helpful staff. Server was very attentive. Didn't wait long for food at all. They do have a salad and soup bar that you can add to your meal for just $5.95. There's two types of soups, lots of salad fixings, dressings, salads (pasta & potato), and lots of dressing options. Great value for what you got. We ordered the Rueben with sweet potato fries and a cheesesteak (no bun) with sweet potato fries. The fries - YES! They are delicious. Grab a honey mustard off of the salad bar for them. The Rueben was huge! Took half of it home. It was amazing. The cheesesteak was just as tasty. Everything we ordered was pretty amazing. We were too stuffed for dessert but they have a lovely menu. They even serve local ice cream!!! The prices are absolutely a steal for what you are getting!!! So reasonably priced. You can tell that much love is poured into this place. Go!!!

If you follow my reviews, you know I'm a fan of old-school diners, the classics, and honest home-cooked food. Summit hits all three marks, serving straightforward and delicious American standards since the 1960s. The three-egg omelet loaded with veggies and sausage was exactly the pre-ski power-up I needed. My son stuck with his go-to breakfast burrito, and my daughter went with the classic two eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was spot on. The staff has just the right level of "WWA"--Waitresses With Attitude. They are perfectly polite, but they hold the line on proper behavior and will quickly put anyone in their place if they step out of line. It keeps the environment grounded and authentic. A few tips for your visit: * Seating: Expect to wait for a table in the lobby or outside during peak hours. * Payment: Bring your wallet--this is a cash-only establishment.
