Shrimp Po'Boy, Double Cheeseburger, Steamed Mussels

This is now my 4th time coming here. I've been for dinner twice and breakfast once. I definitely recommend Meril for breakfast, no doubt a great experience. Dinner was okay tonight as I found my cheeseburger to be a bit salty. Also for $18, no fries were included. I liked my husband's Shrimp Po'Boy which was overflowing with shrimp! It was tasty and the aioli sauce was yummy. THAT came with fries. My mom loved the steamed mussels. This is definitely a must go to if staying at M and deciding on what M property restaurant to eat at. I didn't order it tonight, but I will come back for the delicious flatbread! I love the spaciousness and feel of the restaurant. It has a nice view of the pool and mountains. Service was quick and my water was always full! I'll see you soon!

I came to Meril last night and again tonight. Alessandra greeted me kindly and pointed me toward the bar, where seating is open. Last night I had the shrimp tacos and the po'boy special. I forgot to take pictures, but the food and service were so good that I had to come back tonight. I started the first evening with an excellent Old Fashioned made by the bartenders. Tonight I stuck with beer; they have a solid selection of draft and bottled options. Tonight's Cajun chicken Alfredo was a special that wasn't on the regular menu, and I finished with the banana cream pie. Everything was delicious. Joe, Ray, and I believe Antonio were phenomenal behind the bar. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and the staff made both visits a pleasure. I can see this becoming my Monday Night Football hangout spot!

Located inside The M Resort and Casino, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise to me, my family, and friends. Every employee who assisted us provided excellent service; the atmosphere was fun, the decor was lovely, and the view from almost every seat was of the pool, trees, and/or the huge hotel. The real winner was the food; everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious and flavorful. We plan to dine here the next time we visit this resort.

Meril is a full service restaurant and Bar located in the M Resort in Henderson. This restaurant is part of the Emeril Lagasse Group of Restaurants and is named after his daughter. The menu offers a lot of variety. Lots of different appetizers and small plates, soups, salads, flat breads, entrees, fish of the day, and desserts. There is also a variety of seating choices and outdoor seating with all kinds of views. We were seated at a booth. Our booth was very uncomfortable. In reasonable time we were greeted by a server and we ordered a variety of small plates and the famous gumbo that my husband enjoyed at FOUR different Emeril Restaurants. We waited what seemed like a very long time. All the food came out at once. We started by sharing the Tuna Bundles. They are good but they taste like they are missing something. (I think they are missing the tobiko?) Then we share the General Tso Broccoli. The broccoli seems like boiled and is mushy. (I never had mushy vegetables at the four other Emeril restaurants) The broccoli doesn't taste bad and is very ginger forward but is very mushy. Next we move on to the Cod Sliders. They were nicely prepared but are very plain. ( just a pinch of Emeril's BAM seasoning would help them taste so much better) My husband tries the Gumbo. It's alright but not amazing like it is at other Emeril Restaurants. EMERIL'S RECIPE WAS NOT FOLLOWED HERE. It even LOOKS DIFFERENT. See my photos from Delmonico's Steakhouse. Anyone can see a clear difference. We try the famous Banana Cream Pie. IT IS ALSO DIFFERENT AND NOT THE SAME AS FROM OTHER EMERIL RESTAURANTS. (see my photo from Delmonico's Steakhouse) If you take the time to view my photo from Delmonico's Steakhouse then you can see many bananas in the dessert and far more chocolate. The dessert here is mostly plain cream. SOME or maybe? Most? OF EMERIL'S RECIPES ARE NOT FOLLOWED HERE.

Love love love! This new spot is a MUST GO TO! We came for lunch. We had a party of 8. We were able to sit overlooking the pool and views of strip. It was beautiful. The whole restaurant is so pretty. We started with the pocket bread, street corn, deviled eggs, and the upside down pineapple bacon cornbread. Everything was phenomenal! The deviled eggs with the potato crunchies on the bottom were soo good!! We ate every crumb. For our mains we had the buttermilk fried chicken, the blacken chicken Alfredo, crab pasta, and the spicy pasta. We ate every last night of everything. It was delicious! The dessert you MUST get too! The banana cream pie, beignets and the cotton candy were devoured. They were all perfection! Jake, P, and the entire staff were so great! Super nice and attentive. We will be back for sure!

This is probably a little higher than 3 stars, but I feel like they are still workig through a few things. First dining experience: Breakfast. I would say this is a solid 4 stars. Mostly because of service. Standard fare, tasted good. I got the Meril breakfast with grits ($17) . We also got the Beignet's ($10); good, but nothing I would most likely get again. I really wish they offered the classic New Orlean's chicory coffee. It isn't something I would have often, but I thought it would have brought a touch of the Big Easy to Vegas (and then maybe I would get the beignet's again). Second dining experience: Dinner. A solid 3 stars. It was good, just not great. Deviled eggs ($12, smoked trout roe and potatoe chips); Boudin balls ($12, moist, but to me a little bland); mussels ($19 very flavorful with piri piri sauce and chorizo, my favorite dish of the night); yellowfin tuna bundles ($16, it was good, enjoyed the ponzu and jalapeño flavors), Gumbo ($16; flavorful, but like Gregg M's version better). As a "side" we got the street cord ($10; maybe a little too much parmesean and mayo. I love grilled corn, this didn't taste bad, it jsut isn't my favorite). Finally - we rarely order a desssert, but the Rocky Road Bread pudding did intrigue us, so why not. Unfortunately for me it was nothing like bread pudding. It was more like a fudge brownie with marshmello and icecream. Would we go again - absolutely but it may not behigh up on the rotation even though it is just down the street.

We were hesitant to dine here because of all the bad reviews but had dining credits to use so figured why not. Went around 6pm & sat at the bar. Service was great. Never once left waiting for anything. The ambiance is very casual, bright & loud. The menu is all over the place! Meatballs: deliciously tender & the whipped ricotta had a hint of lemon in it that really brightened up the dish. Truffle fettuccine: very small portion but good flavor. It's only $19 so I wasn't expecting shaved truffles on top but more pasta would have been nice. Blue crab linguine: another small pasta portion but really good. It didn't look like much crab but once you dug in it was there. Just more fine of pieces. Overall we'd go back. Probably for breakfast or lunch. I really wish they had a brunch menu on the weekends. Maybe in the future.

    Blue Crab Linguini ($28.00) takeout

He should be embarrassed. Meril is the newest restaurant at M Resort and opened to moderate amounts of fanfare having achieved some sort of partnership with celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse and also secured a prime space with excellent views of the pool and beyond. I have tried it three times now and am finally prepared to say that it is not worth the hype. First off, I tried a Blue Crab Linguini ($28.00) to-go. It was uninspiring and evoked memories of similar pastas from the nearby Raiders Tavern. The crab portion was small and the pasta was just boring overall, with little meaningful contribution from the Calabrian chili butter. I returned for a dine-in experience to try the Double Cheeseburger ($18.00). It felt really salty on first bite but thankfully felt tolerable the rest of the way. The patty was thick and juicy, and the cornichons were a fun twist. I just never thought that I'd be wishing so strongly for lettuce and tomato on a restaurant burger. And why is there a choice between paying ten bucks and not getting any fries at all? I'm now here for the 3rd time. The Barbecued Shrimp and Crispy Corn Grit ($22.00) came out pretty lukewarm for some reason, and the grit cake was not all that crispy. But I liked the flavors on the shrimp and sauce, and the grits were a decent complement. Unfortunately, the Beignets ($10.00) ate the way I imagine cardboard would, and they were even stingy with the sugar on top. The French 75 ($10), a cognac version rather than a gin, was pretty balanced and not watered down. Another issue on this visit was that the server ignored me long enough for me to draft most of this review while sitting at the table not visibly eating or sipping much at all. Dine at Meril at your own Peril. The scenery outside of the window may be nice, but inside is simply another underwhelming M Resort offering. All of my dining here has been through M Resort players card offers and such, but they have still served up too many underwhelming and flawed dishes to give them a pass.

Gumbo. A really good sized portion.

The dishes here are done well. The service is incredibly attentive and patient. The room looks more like a brunch eatery than anything else. All said this works well. So why not 5 stars? I'm not sure what this is trying to be.. strip style restaurant at the M with slightly lower than strip prices? An upscale option off strip but in a casino property. And for everything on the menu, i think id rather go somewhere else for a better version of it for that (or less) price. Again, the food was done well, but the Brussels were nothing special. The pasta was a nice change but needed to be 25% more food. Everything felt like a smaller portion to meet a price range. I'd rather have paid 25% more for 25% more food or something else done to it. The exceptions are the pineapple upside down cake which was so unique and the ubiquitous banana cream pie. Those are worth the visit alone. It's worth a visit if you're in the area, but peek at the menu to make sure there's something you want. Otherwise banana cream pie and coffee for a snack or dessert works well!

We went here for our monthly Supper Club outing to try somewhere new! Overall, the atmosphere felt more like a café than a restaurant to me, which wasn't quite what I was expecting. We ordered a few different things off the menu. My favorites were probably the pasta and the yellowtail. That said, I personally felt like the dishes were missing a little something when it came to spice and flavor. With the New Orleans-inspired feel, I was hoping for more of that BAM! -- a little more boldness and seasoning in each bite. Overall, it was a fun night with good company, but I think the food could use a bit more flavor to really make it stand out.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, with reservations at 1215p. Meril is located just to the side of where the old (still untouched) buffet used to be. We were promptly taken to window-side seating, facing northeast towards the strip. Beautiful views which we enjoyed while waiting for our food to arrive and during our meal. We had ordered a variety of things to try. HOUSE BOUDIN BALLS with pepperjack cheese, creole mustard, and pepper jelly Was unsure what this was but saw it had pepperjack cheese, so assumed it was stuffed with cheese. We were wrong. Apparently, BOUDIN BALLs are a classic Cajun appetizer made with pork and rice boudin sausage making into balls and deep frying them. The outside was a quite dry and definitely not much cheese. The creole mustard added a nice brightness with its vinegary and spicy brown mustard seed kick. Not sure if i noticed much rice either. Felt mostly was just a fried sausage ball. CRISPY GULF SHRIMP TACOS with sambal aioli, pickled red onions, wasabi tobiko, and cilantro As name suggested CRISPY Gulf shrimp tacos with a creamy sambal (not spicy) aioli and pickled red onions. Shrimp wasn't dry and was nicely sized. Cilantro does nothing except it was laid on TOP of the entire taco. Unsure how i feel about there being wasabi tobiko, if it works or not. Still pretty decent GULF YELLOWFIN TUNA BUNDLES with jalapeno, truffle ponzu, wontons, and tobiko Wasn't sure what i was expecting when the name said "bundle" but i guess i wasn't expected lettuce wrap/bowls. Again, same tobiko from tacos, a slice of jalapeno, and sashimi thickness slice of yellowtail tuna, and a mountain of FRIED wonton STRIPS under, all held together with this lettuce. Truffle ponzu on the side adding a little freshness to it all. Again, unsure about the tobiko but rest of it was pretty nice altogether. MARGHERITA flatbread with basil Decent size flatbread (cut to 6 slices). Melty cheese. Obvious basil aroma/flavor. Pretty good. Can't really say much about a simple margherita ! MARKET FISH with corn maque choux and lemon creole butter On the day we had visited, their MARKET FISH was red snapper. A good portion of red snapper filet with SKIN ON (crispy) topped with an arugula and tomato salad, on a bed of grilled corn kernel. On the side, there was the lemon creole butter sauce. We both love fish and this fish was good. Beautifully cooked and flaky. Went nicely with the lemon creole butter sauce. The dressed arugula and tomato salad was nice. Corn kernels were not overcooked and had a nice bite to it. Probably our top favorite for the meal. FETTUCCINE with truffle butter This, was unfortunately, VERY sad looking. VERY small portion of fettuccine pasta. I know truffle is expensive but for an entree, this is depressing. I dont even know if you can call it a snack or small plate portion either. Ok truffle flavor topped with grated cheese on top. Overall, pretty decent. Never been to an Emeril Lagasse restuarant so this was a new experience. I can see how some people say it's strip pricing at a local casino. Margelli was our server for the visit and was super nice. Weirdly, there was seemingly tons of servers but aren't particularly assigned to areas. the table next to mine was a different server. They were all over the place.

Overall, I rate this a 3 out of 5 stars right now! Service was great! Our server Trey was very attentive and provided good recommendations! We had reservations and got seated timely. Prices were reasonable. However, they had a few menu items a little overpriced... my opinion. Food was good! Nothing that stood out or had our jaws dropped! Our FAVORITE dish was the buttermilk fried chicken! Hubby and I agreed it was perfectly seasoned and cooked! The dill and side sauce was perfection! Our LEAST favorite was the gumbo! We wanted to like it but couldn't get over the burnt taste. We ended up sending it back! Ambiance was nice, clean and classy! Our table had a great view of the M Resort pool area! Personally I would give them another try. The restaurant has been open for a month. I give new businesses 90 days to work through growing pains.

We had a really good time having lunch here. If anything, I think we ordered too much! The flatbread was good, I really enjoyed the gumbo which was very filling, and the fish sliders were so cute and hot and crispy! Our server was friendly and the restaurant is really bright and airy. We love coming to the M and I can definitely see us coming back in the future!
