Dear Andy. * I am appalled at the bad representation you are…read moreadding to your game processing community; though I do hope this review gives your competitors with professionalism and integrity the chance for some new business. We, unfortunately, are no longer able to extend the trust needed to turn over another animal to a game processor. Elk is too hard earned, too precious, rare and valuable a resource. A concept which seems to have been lost on you, a fellow hunter. Strange. * From the start, you had terrible and unprofessional communication. Short clipped, angry toned texts and calls that I would never imagine coming from a small business owner. I kept my temper and calmly communicated with you because you held our game in your "hands". o When we came to pick up the remainder of our order, and asked your employee if we owed any final fees, he called you over and you asked why we didn't pick up the order ourselves. You seemed upset, thinking we were on vacation (not that it matters where we were) but when we explained we are at work overseas for a month, you seemed more accepting of our "excuse". Later, speaking with our neighbor (who picked up the part of the order you had ready) revealed the shortfall, it warranted an inquiry. At this point, we were met with false accusations of intimidation (perhaps as a little CYA) from that final pick-up visit. He, at our request, had picked up most of the order immediately, to make sure not to take up limited storage space at your business during the active season. He had no way of knowing the weight/amount to expect because you said you still had to process some of the order. Side note, he is a hunter as well, a small business owner, our long time friend and trustworthy, so we know he did not keep any of the game. * ~190 pounds of game meat total. That's what we received from a full-grown bull elk ~700lbs, and cow elk, ~400lbs live weight. And you just repeated this was the post-processing yield from these two animals turned over to you within 48 hours of the cow being harvested and within 24hrs of the bull. Probably didn't help that you admitted you didn't start processing until 3 weeks later...and on the note of processing: o Terrible brats, dry, not enough fat, no flavor. o NO GROUND BURGER, though requested, you said there wasn't enough left...really? o Breakfast sausage and pepperoni stick are good flavor. o Cuts were clean for steaks, roasts, etc., for the small amount we got back. * It is a common practice, to include my own, to share meat with friends and family who no longer have the opportunity to hunt due to age or disability. I did share, but did not have enough to share as much as I normally do. * You offered no refund with a ~$1,200.00 price tag. I considered a small claims suit to get some of my money back, but I just don't have the time. In the end, I guess this was a hard learned lesson not trust good review ratings...since yours was a 4.9 when we chose your business over only one other business with a similar rating. I guess we chose unwisely. * I understand you are an archery hunter, and you were gone hunting when we turned our animals in; so hunting in the season is reasonable and expected. But if you are going to run a WILD GAME PROCESSING BUSINESS, I would suggest your plan for accepting meat from the hunters in the community while you are absent is rock solid before you head out to secure your own animal. I no longer have any desire to have communication with you. There is no fix possible any longer at this point. Though I do see you redid your Yelp to get rid of the reviews from the other hunters on our trip with us that posted last year! Though not honest, it's understandable! To quote the first text I ever got from you "Are you serious?".

I asked the owner & filled out paperwork to Steak everything possible and hamburger the rest. So when I went to pick up my meat after 14 days, they showed me my meat in the freezer, and I was really surprised on the quantity. There were only 3 smaller boxes worth of meat for me. Something didn't seem right, so when I got home, I weighed the meat, and it came out to 109.0 lbs of Meat and 13.28 lbs of pepperoni. We had 80.0 lbs of Hamburger, 29.0 lbs of Steak/Roasts and 13.28 lbs of pepperoni (20.0 lbs of meat for pepperoni). The owner assured me that they were able to save a lot of the meat. So, after hearing that, I was really shocked to only get 29.0 lbs of steaks/roasts back. Studies show that a person should get over 500 lbs of processed meat off a Shiras Moose, so less than a quarter of that off 4 quarters blew my mind. Plus, I asked the owner & filled out paperwork to Steak everything possible & hamburger everything else, but we got 4 front quarter roasts which were included in those totals, but we didn't ask for any roasts at all. poor communication. One of Get Your Meat values from their website is that they thrive on giving you the most amount of meat possible from your game animal. That seems odd in my case. When I went inside to pay before going home, The Owner asked me if I had CASH, (Odd) and I told him that I had a Personal or Company Check or Debit Card. He was like; Debit card is fine, but seemed upset about it. On the drive home, I noticed that he charged me an additional $25 for Non-Cash Adjustment which I wasn't aware of, and he didn't say anything to me about it at the time of checkout. Not very Honest. Plus, when I cooked my very first pack of hamburger, I found a human hair in the meat. So overall, not a satisfied customer. A few days later, I was talking with a Idaho Fish & Game Warden, and he stated that it seemed very odd and something didn't seem right. He encouraged me to write a Review to make others aware of my situation. Something seemed very Fishy. It's no surprise as to why they charge by the animal and not by the pounds of meat. I could barely lift the quarters out of my vehicle when I dropped them off so to get 122.28 lbs of meat/pepperoni off 4 quarters; It was a total shocker and bad experience with my once in a Lifetime Idaho Moose! He doesn't have to worry about my game meat ever again, but wanted to warn or alert other people/hunters. Very disappointing! Proverbs 25:21-22 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you! Luke 23:34 "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." I have already forgiven them!

Vegetables and local meats. We joined their membership a year before moving here...that's how much I liked the store. Twice a month great sale prices on local. You receive a monthly discount to use on all your groceries too. Don't pass the deli department without exploding. Love the pizza by slice!! The store holds classes too but I'm so busy. Very clean!! Oh the local bread department is above 5 star quality too.

We were so thrilled to wander in here and see how ample the options were for us. Some highlights: The food court foods were CLEAN, limited ingredient, and there was a large variety. We ordered a whole pizza to go and enjoyed it guilt free for dinner as there dough and everything in it was seed oil free, and free of other ingredients we avoid. The bakery was filled with fresh gluten free options and sweets, it was a dream for me! They also carry a number of products from local small businesses which was a pleasant surprise. Prices were reasonable in comparison to what you can expect to pay in other places for high quality foods. We will 100% be back here next time we're in the area and highly recommend checking the co-op out if you're in the area.
