Reckless and Dishonest…read more Viking Fuel (PO Box 370294, West Hartford, CT 06137) overfilled our oil tanks by over 180 gallons, which flooded our basement with heating oil. They then lied to their insurance company, lied to the environmental cleanup company and lied to DEEP, claiming it was under 10 gallons of spill. Then, after knowing the driver pushed oil into our home at a reckless speed of approx. 100 GPM, Viking Fuel's response to us was unapologetic and defensive. If not for us pushing the issue, and our extensive evidence (knowing our exact fuel level before they filled, cameras capturing their actions and timelines, etc.), we doubt we would have been successful convincing their insurance company to approve the claim. Since that day our lives have been severely altered... heavy equipment and noise every day, constant smell of oil, oil tanks removed and temporary oil tank located in yard, basement floor being jackhammered and removed, contaminated dirt being removed, woods where sump pumps pushed flooded oil being excavated (over 4 tons of dirt so far just from the woods), air handler and water systems relocated, personal items ruined, main living areas unusable, and much more. Three weeks later, no firm end date in sight. Meanwhile, no regrets from Viking Fuel, just business as usual. In fact, they even had the nerve to invoice us for the fuel! Yet all this was completely avoidable by filling at a responsible speed (40-60 GPM is best practice) and watching the gallons pumped. Avoid doing business with companies that fill residential properties at irresponsible speeds, and please let Viking Fuel know that you stand united with other homeowners by NOT using their services! Chain of Events and Simple Math: Ordered an oil fill, emphasizing the tanks were a little over 25% full (180.8 gallons). Our fill capacity at that time was 413.92 gallons (660 tanks - 10% for expansion, - 180.8 already in tanks). Driver pushed 596.1 gallons into our house within about 6 minutes (almost 100 GPM, 40-60 GPM is best practice)! Basement flooded with approx. 183.1 gallons of oil overfill!

I had been searching for a good company to work on my boiler for quite some time, but I was having…read morea hard time finding someone I felt comfortable with. After reading through all the great reviews about this company, I decided to give them a try, and I'm very glad I did. I had three other companies come out and none of them were able to figure out the issue with my boiler. The supervisor, Kevin, was recommended to come out and take a look at it on the second visit, and he was able to identify the problem. He discovered that a valve was stuck between the domestic hot water and heating loop. Once the valve was replaced, I noticed a significant improvement in the heating loop temperature, going from around 111°F to well over 160°F, and my heating system started working properly again. This company has been amazing to deal with from start to finish. They are easy to communicate with, very thorough, and provide detailed explanations of what they did during each visit. I really appreciate how they take the time to explain the work and keep you informed throughout the process. If you have a combi boiler and are having trouble getting your heating system to work properly, I highly recommend asking for Kevin. He knows his stuff and will get your system sorted out!

These visits were all related to the same issue - the system did not function properly to maintain the desired air temperature, particularly in the summer months. As the HVAC system installed was still malfunctioning, and we learned that the warranty was held by Bosch and did not require us to use our original installer, in May 2026 we decided to call another company we located due to their familiarity with Bosch systems to come look at the system. This new company was so appalled by the mess of the state of the wiring of the system and our prior experiences trying to have this issue resolved through Superior HVAC and Tank Removal that they did not bill us for their initial diagnostic visits. This new team immediately determined that the main power board on the inverter was fried and ordered a replacement part, which they recently installed. The system has been working perfectly ever since. What we're left wondering is why it took another company 45 minutes to immediately diagnose and correct (what seemed to them to be) a clear malfunctioning part in our Bosch inverter, when Superior HVAC and Tank Removal not only installed the system, but then also visited our property no fewer than 5 times (and we have been billed for 4/5 of those visits) and and failed to diagnose nor fix the correct issue? We do not wish to continue business with Superior HVAC and Tank Removal in the future given these experiences.
