He made me feel completely at ease, took the time to answer all of my questions, and was incredibly patient throughout the process. He also caught and corrected things I wouldn't have even noticed, which gave me a lot of confidence in the work being done. Their customer service is excellent. I also appreciated that when some of the work wasn't up to standard, Omer stepped in and made sure everything was corrected properly. We went with Forever Builders, who also did some demo for us when we first moved in. Among other things, we 1) stripped and replaced the floor, 2) demoed the built-in tub and replaced it with a soaking tub, 3) replaced the vanity countertops, 4) installed a chandelier and sconces, and 5) installed a custom shower door. Steve was our project manager for the entire project, which took 3-4 weeks. We are so incredibly pleased with the result, and just as happy with the service and professionalism we received from Steve and his team. Steve managed every aspect of this complex project flawlessly, stopped by frequently to check progress and QC each phase of work, and was consistently responsive and professional. He took my calls on nights and weekends, and I always felt taken care of and valued as an important customer--such a rare occurrence these days. The craftsmanship was flawless too. I am a detail-oriented person and tend to demand perfection, and Forever Builders exceeded my expectations. As a bonus, they also installed a floating vanity for me in a secondary bathroom, as a complimentary part of the project. Since then, I have also asked Steve and Forever Builders to patch up a huge portion of ceiling drywall at my mom's house that was screwed up by another company, and they did an amazing job with that as well. You will not find a more consistently exceptional company. I'm a customer for life.

Based on that storyline, they're refusing to take responsibility for the flooring damage. The windows were installed without permits. I brought in four independent inspections, including three licensed general contractors and one home inspector. All confirmed active water intrusion and pointed to the window installation as the likely source. Despite that, Forever Builders continues to deny, redirect, and avoid addressing the actual installation. The floors never had water intrusion before the remodel. The problem started after their work. Instead of owning it and fixing it, they've chosen to argue technicalities and wait for CSLB to force the issue. For a company that promotes itself as 5-star, this has been anything but. When serious defects surface, there's no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to stand behind the work. Just excuses. That is not 5-star service. That is not what integrity looks like.

Of the contractors we met with, GAIA also provided the most reasonably priced quote. What really stood out was Eli's focus on doing the job correctly from the ground up. We had areas where the ground had sunk, and while some contractors seemed more focused on the aesthetics, Eli focused on the foundation and drainage. His crew leveled and properly prepared the ground, installed new drainage before putting down the new turf, and leveled the dirt underneath our deck and replaced it with rocks. We felt confident that we weren't just covering up the problem with something that looked nice. We also appreciated that Eli looked for ways to save us money. We had considered replacing existing turf along the side of the house because construction debris was difficult for us to remove. Instead, he offered to have his crew clean it to the best of their ability and also dispose of some old outdoor rugs for us rather than having us spend money unnecessarily. Communication with both Eli and Tanya, the office manager, was excellent throughout the process. Our project was small and only took two days, but we never felt like it was too small for them. Everything ran smoothly, the crew left the area clean, and Eli personally stopped by to check the work and completed a final walkthrough with us to make sure we were satisfied. GAIA was professional, communicative, reasonably priced, and, most importantly, ethical. We've already recommended them to friends and will absolutely use them again for future projects. We couldn't be happier with the experience or the finished yard. Highly recommend!
