Instead, they took an totally adversarial approach, and cited this language in their engagement letter: "You have the final responsibility for the income tax returns, and therefore, you should review them carefully before you sign them." Simply translated: 'You pay for our screw-ups.' So if you are an accountant and can ensure their work is proper, maybe you are in a good position to hire them.
